Chapter 388 Daniel
Dozens of well-trained bodyguards rushed in and immediately surrounded everyone.
The momentum was overwhelmingly potent, causing everyone to stop and even hold their breath involuntarily.
A path was left in the middle, and Gabriel walked in slowly. He was impeccably dressed in a suit with handsome features and a smooth, elegant jawline that seemed to glow faintly. His expression was emotionless, and his eyes swept over everyone with a hint of menace.
Behind him were three adorable children, all dressed in black and wearing sunglasses, looking cool and aloof like little bodyguards.
Gabriel saw that Sophia was being held by a security guard. His eyes narrowed, and he walked over, silently grabbing the security guard's hand and twisting it.
The security guard's scream echoed throughout the church, filling everyone present with terror.
Gabriel threw the security guard aside and then looked at Sophia with concern.
"Are you okay?"
"Mommy, are you hurt?" The children also rushed forward, expressing their concern for Sophia.
Sophia's back hurt terribly, burning as if her bones were in pain, but she forced a smile to avoid worrying the children.
"I'm fine."
She pulled the children close, and Gabriel shielded her and the children behind him.
He raised his chin slightly, looking down on everyone like a king.
"Take action!"
At his command, the bodyguards easily subdued all the security guards and took them out.
Everyone was stunned.
"I've heard that Mr. Lancaster, as the richest man, has trained an elite group of bodyguards. I didn't expect it to be true."
"So cool."
Aragorn suppressed his anger and questioned, "Mr. Lancaster, what are you doing?"
Gabriel glanced at him coldly. "I should be asking you what you're doing. My children's mother was beaten here. Don't you think you owe me an explanation?"
Gabriel had received an invitation to this wedding but hadn't planned to attend. However, the three children told him that Sophia was helping Caroline get Josie back, and he was worried Sophia might suffer, so he came to support her.
To see so many people surrounding and hitting Sophia made Gabriel furious, wanting to teach everyone there a lesson.
Aragorn's heart sank at Gabriel's words, and his gaze fell on Sophia.
'This woman is Gabriel's wife?'
But he hadn't heard that Gabriel was married.
At this moment, Aragorn didn't have time to ponder these things. The Watson family and the Wolf family held significant positions in City B, comparable to the Lancaster family. They didn't need to fear Gabriel, but no one wanted to make another powerful enemy, especially a formidable one.
In an instant, Aragorn weighed the pros and cons.
Gabriel's wife had been beaten here, so Aragorn was clearly in the wrong. He had to smile apologetically, "I'm very sorry. We didn't know this lady was Mrs. Lancaster. If we had known, this wouldn't have happened. It's all a misunderstanding. Please forgive us, Mr. Lancaster."
Gabriel smiled, showing no courtesy to Aragorn. "I admire Nicholas, but I didn't expect such an outstanding person to have such a snobbish father."
It was a miracle Nicholas didn't turn out to be a failure.
Aragorn's face darkened immediately.
Everyone present had some power and status in City B and was smart enough to see that the Watson family and the Lancaster family were about to become enemies. To avoid getting caught in the crossfire, they decided to stay quiet.
"Mr. Lancaster, long time no see." Daniel stepped forward.
At this moment, only he could defuse this farce.
"Long time no see." Gabriel gave Daniel some respect.
"This matter is indeed our fault. Rest assured, Mr. Lancaster, we will explain to you. But the wedding is still ongoing. Why don't you and your wife sit down and join the wedding for now?"
Daniel smiled warmly, lowered his stance, and placed the blame squarely on the Watson and Wolf families.
Gabriel snorted, "Today, I'll give Mr. Wolf some face, but if your explanation doesn't satisfy me and my wife, don't blame me for being rude."
He turned around, his cold expression softening into a gentle one, full of concern.
"Are you really okay?"
Sophia looked a bit pale, with sweat constantly forming on her forehead. She was clearly enduring pain.
But Sophia shook her head slightly.
Daniel watched them and noticed Caroline beside Sophia. His expression changed, and he couldn't take his eyes off her.
A strange feeling brushed over his heart.
He walked over and stood in front of Caroline.
Caroline looked up at Daniel, her view of Josie blocked.
Daniel realized she was in a wheelchair and quickly squatted down, asking gently, "Is your name Caroline?"
For some reason, Caroline felt a strange familiarity with Daniel. He seemed kind and approachable, and his elegant demeanor made it hard for her to feel any aversion.
"Yes," Caroline replied in a hoarse voice.
Daniel turned his head and said, "Josie, come over here."
Daisy didn't want Josie to go over.
She grabbed Josie again, feeling very uneasy.
"Daisy, bring Josie over here." Daniel's eyes grew more severe.
Daisy gritted her teeth and thought, 'Damn Caroline! Why doesn't she just die?'
Daisy didn't dare disobey Daniel, so she reluctantly brought Josie over.
Caroline's eyes welled up with tears as Josie got closer.
Daniel stood up and brought Josie over, seeing Caroline's tear-streaked face. His heart felt like it was being pricked, and he thought of his own daughter, who was still missing.
Daniel considered this a good deed, accumulating blessings for his daughter.
"Josie, she is your biological mother."
Josie's eyes widened. She looked at Caroline, then at Daniel and Daisy.
Josie thought, 'Daisy isn't my mother? Is Caroline my mother?'
Josie didn't know what to do.
Emma called softly, "Josie, don't be afraid. Call her Mommy. Haven't you always wanted Ms. Clark to be your mommy? Now, Ms. Clark is your mommy."
Sure, Josie wanted Caroline to be her mommy, and now Caroline was her mommy.
Josie suddenly burst into tears and threw herself into Caroline's arms, crying out, "Mommy."
Caroline's tears flowed even more.
Her waist hurt terribly, cold sweat pouring out, but this pain was nothing compared to the joy of finding Josie.
"Josie, I'm sorry I found out too late. I will never leave you again."
Many people were moved to tears by this scene.
Linda's tears flowed even more, and Clayton quickly handed her a tissue.
He sighed inwardly, knowing Linda was thinking of his sister again.
