Chapter 21: Calling Sister

Sam shook his head at the bodyguard.
"Sam!" Sophia exclaimed with joy.
Confusion flashed in Sam's eyes as he curiously looked at Sophia. It was the first time he had looked at her so seriously.
He gestured with his hands a few times and asked, "Who are you? Why are you giving me clothes?"
But Sophia couldn't understand sign language and eagerly handed him the bag.
"I made these clothes myself. They will keep you warm in this cold weather."
Ethan and Emma wore clothes sewn by her, and if Sam didn't have any, he would be saddened and feel that she didn't care for him.
Sam hesitated as he looked at the bag. He had only accepted gifts from his great-grandmother, father, and Aunt Gu. He never bothered with gifts from others.
But the gift from this woman in front of him seemed to have a kind of magic that made him unwilling to refuse.
As he looked into Sophia's hopeful eyes, he slowly reached out his small hand. Just then, three or four bodyguards suddenly surrounded them, protecting Sam from Sophia as if she were an enemy.
"No wonder the boss sent more people. It turns out someone really came to harass the young master. David, take the young master to the car first. We'll take care of this here,"
One of the bodyguards said to the bodyguard who had threatened Sophia earlier. David, the bodyguard called, followed the order and picked up Sam.
"Sam!" Sophia anxiously wanted to catch up, but she was surrounded by the remaining four people.
"Did Gabriel send you to stop me from seeing Sam?" Sophia asked with a cold expression.
Who was Gabriel to stop her from seeing Sam! She was Sam's biological mother!
The four bodyguards were imposing, and Sophia, a weak woman, was surrounded with onlookers all around.
Sophia's questioning did not receive a response and did not intimidate them. The four people gradually approached Sophia. Seeing their intention to attack, Sophia's heart also started to race.
Could she survive being beaten by four people?
Could she still use her neglected taekwondo skills, Sophia swallowed and took a defensive posture, her mind quickly racing to find a way out.
If she couldn't win the fight, she had to run. Find a breakthrough.
In the car, Sam, after being carried by David, rolled down the window and saw the bodyguards about to attack Sophia. He immediately panicked, pulling on the car door to get out, only to find that the door was locked.
He could only desperately tug at David's clothes and point outside. David understood his meaning, but his duty was to protect the young master without leaving his side.
"Young master, this is the boss's order. I can't stop them, but it's okay. They will show restraint and not kill anyone."
Sam widened his eyes. Kill?
The little guy became even more anxious, continuously tugging at David's clothes, his eyes turning red. He didn't want that woman to be beaten.
"Young master, they usually Do not hit women. This time, we just wanted to teach that woman a lesson, that's all."
Sam was so worried that he almost cried. David dared to disobey his command and glared at him fiercely.
Seeing that Sam was angry, David hesitated.
"Should we call the boss and ask for mercy?"
Sam's eyes lit up, gesturing for him to hurry up and make the call. David quickly dialed Gabriel's phone number, while Sophia, on the other hand, had already started fighting. She tried her best to use her previous Taekwondo skills, but it had been too long since she had practiced, and she ended up receiving a solid punch on her arm.
Just as the next punch was about to greet her face, a heroic figure suddenly appeared.
"Bam! Bam! Bam!" With just a few moves, the four bodyguards were lying on the ground, screaming in pain.
Sophia was momentarily stunned, grateful as she looked at this handsome hero. She thought it was a cool young lady, but upon closer inspection, it was a handsome and tall man.
Sophia felt a little embarrassed and said, "Thank you for saving me."
"Big sister, how did you get into trouble with these people?" Jake Hughes innocently looked at Sophia.
That handsome face seemed familiar to Sophia, but she couldn't remember where she had seen it before. She secretly guessed that it was probably because he looked like a celebrity, which made him seem familiar.
Wait a minute, did he just call me big sister and this "big sister" sounded so sweet that it made her heart flutter.
Feeling uneasy, Sophia brushed her hair and said, "The story is long, let's go first. I'll treat you to a meal."
"Okay, big sister."
"Uh, how old are you?"
"26." Was the reply.
"Oh, then you should call me big sister."
...
After David finished the call, he turned around and saw four colleagues writhing on the ground.
What's going on?
Meanwhile, Sophia walked off with a man. Sam also saw it and raised his eyebrows in relief. Thankfully, she was fine.
As he watched Sophia leave unharmed, two children suddenly appeared and picked up the bag she had dropped on the ground. They ran towards him.
The car window was still open, and Emma threw the bag into the car, accidentally hitting Sam in the face.
Emma glared at Sam fiercely, "Why don't you want the clothes my mommy made for you? My mommy is a great designer. She never makes clothes for other kids, only for me and my brother, but this time, she made clothes for you, and you dare to refuse. You're a big meanie."
David was dumbfounded. What is going on, Why are there two children? How should he handle them? Scare them away.
"Young master, are you okay?" he asked.
Sam shook his head, his curious black eyes staring at these two adorable kids, who were about the same age as him. They were so good-looking, especially this little girl who was scolding him.
Who are they? He wondered to himself.
Right, she mentioned the clothes her mommy made, could it be the aunt from earlier?
They're that aunt's children!
Ethan looked at Sam, who remained silent and looked dazed. Ethan wondered how to handle this, how to scare them away.
"Young master, are you okay?"
Ethan began to speculate, could he be a fool, this boy around their age.
Mom must have made clothes for him because she felt sorry for him. Ethan immediately felt sympathy and his tone was not as harsh as Emma's.
"The clothes that my mom stitched by hand are very warm. There is even her scent on them. You will definitely like them."
Mom stitched them by hand, Mom's scent!
This is exactly what Sam has been longing for. He eyes slightly reddened and he nodded indicating that he accepts it, then tightly huged the bag.
Ethan secretly thought to himself, doesn't he have a mom? Why are his eyes turning red? He sympathizes with him even more.
"Emma, let's go."
Ethan doesn't know how to console him either, so he quickly grabs Emma and runs away after seeing that Sam has accepted the gift.
The two of them were delayed for a while, so they lost track of Mom and could only take a taxi home first.
"Ethan, do you think Mom and that uncle who knows martial arts are on a date?" Emma ponders over this, her small eyes spinning, sparkling with excitement.
"You're silly. Mom was saved by that uncle, so she definitely wants to repay the favor. Mom invited that uncle out to eat."
At that time, they were hiding in the distance, ready to rush and save Mom, when that uncle descended from the sky like Sun Wukong and saved Mom.
"Isn't repaying the favor done by offering oneself?" Emma recalls the lines from TV dramas.
Ethan is speechless.
"Mom would never offer herself."
"Hmph."
