Chapter 359 Tempting Emma with Delicious Food
Gabriel arrived at the office and immediately assigned Alex the first task.
"Have the finance department settle Tiffany's salary."
Alex was puzzled and asked, "Are we firing Ms. Foster?"
"She's not suitable for this job."
Alex also thought Tiffany wasn't suitable. The people in the secretarial department privately said that Tiffany was very incompetent and often made excuses to pass her work to others.
Tiffany had just finished her check-up and returned to her hospital room when she suddenly received the notice of her dismissal. The finance department directly transferred her salary to her card.
Tiffany clutched her phone tightly, her hands trembling, tears falling one by one onto the phone.
'Is Gabriel really that ruthless?' She thought.
During lunch break, Gabriel rested his head and closed his eyes. Suddenly, an image of Sophia lying weakly in the hospital flashed in his mind.
He woke up with a start, looking at a certain spot with lingering fear.
He absolutely couldn't let Sophia's depression relapse.
The pain of loss was something he never wanted to endure again.
He didn't know how much impact the things Tiffany posted had on Sophia.
He had to do something to make amends.
Gabriel opened his computer and started searching.
Sophia was rushing to design new brand clothes. This time, the style was different from Flora's traditional style. Both the materials and the color scheme were more sophisticated, requiring a unique design sense.
Her life was divided into two parts: one part career, one part children.
She no longer had the mind to think about those messy things, so she wasn't affected by the information Tiffany posted.
Sophia had a contract with Gabriel, so she wasn't afraid of not seeing her children.
Otherwise, if Gabriel prohibited her from visiting her children, it would be a breach of contract, and Gabriel would have to return custody.
In the afternoon, Gabriel left work early and drove to the kindergarten to pick up the three children.
The three children stood together, holding hands.
Seeing Gabriel, Emma immediately let go of Ethan and Sam's hands and ran over.
Gabriel squatted down and picked Emma up.
"Were you good today?"
"I was very good."
"Emma, is this your dad?" A child's voice came.
Gabriel looked down and saw a slim little boy.
"Yes, this is my daddy. I'm telling you, if you dare to laugh at me and Ethan for not having a daddy again, I'll punch you." Emma raised her little fist.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow, wrapped Emma's fist, and put her hand down.
"A little princess shouldn't resort to violence."
Emma hugged Gabriel's neck and acted cute. "I know."
Gabriel looked calmly at the little boy.
The little boy, seeing the tall and imposing Gabriel, took two steps back in fear.
'Emma's dad was so tall.'
"Where are your parents?" Gabriel asked.
The little boy stammered, "My parents, they, they are busy with work."
"Did you really laugh at Emma?"
"I, I... didn't mean to."
The little boy lowered his head, looking guilty.
Gabriel chuckled and said, "Since you know you were wrong, I won't blame you, but you need to apologize to Emma."
Emma raised her chin and said, "Yes, apologize!"
The little boy raised his head and apologized, "Emma, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed at you for not having a dad."
"And Ethan."
"Ethan, I'm sorry."
Gabriel said, "Remember, you shouldn't laugh at classmates for not having a dad or mom."
"Okay, I remember."
The little boy got on the school bus. Emma felt vindicated today and was especially happy.
"What do you want to eat?" Gabriel asked dotingly.
"Barbecue."
Thinking of barbecue, Emma licked her lips.
"Choose something else." Gabriel frowned.
"Stew."
"Okay, should we invite your mommy to join us?"
"Sure."
Gabriel took the three kids to the restaurant, and Emma was responsible for calling Sophia.
"Stew? Where are you? Who are you with?" Sophia asked three questions.
"I am with..." Emma was about to say when she received a signal from Gabriel. Emma quickly changed her words. "With my godmother. Mommy, come quickly."
It turned out Caroline was taking them to the restaurant.
"I'm getting off work soon. You guys go ahead."
"Okay, we'll wait for you."
Ethan sighed; Emma had completely betrayed Sophia.
"I plan to take the whole family on a trip this weekend. Ethan, Emma, Sam, what do you think?" Gabriel took out an iPad. "I have planned five places; you can choose one."
"A trip? Awesome!We haven't gone on a trip for a long time."
The most important thing was that it included Sam and Gabriel.
Emma hugged the iPad and started selecting the travel destination.
"This one. I want this one."
"Then this place it is, but..." Gabriel smiled mischievously.
"But what?" Emma tilted her head, stepping into Gabriel's trap.
"Your mommy might not want to go. Maybe we should forget it. I heard there are a lot of delicious foods there."
Emma said, "Delicious food! Daddy, don't worry. I'll make sure mommy agrees to go with us."
Gabriel patted Emma's head.
"The task of getting Sophia to join the trip is yours."
"No problem!"
Ethan thought, 'Bad daddy is so sneaky, using food to tempt Emma!'
Gabriel didn't often eat these foods. The last time he had them was a year ago. He let the kids order.
Seeing the stew, Gabriel felt his stomach burning again.
Sam also couldn't eat hot food, so it needed to cool down.
Sophia arrived at the restaurant and went to the second floor, according to the room number Emma had sent.
'Why was Caroline in a private room? They usually sat in the main hall,' She thought.
"Caroline, you..." Sophia pushed open the door and stopped when she saw Gabriel.
"Mommy, come in." Emma jumped off the chair and ran over to pull her.
Sophia couldn't leave even if she wanted to, so she reluctantly sat down.
She secretly glared at Emma, who giggled and ran into Gabriel's arms, sticking her head out and making a grimace at Sophia.
Sophia's heart softened; she couldn't do anything about Emma.
At the Watson Group, Caroline came with her violin to teach. Josie was already in the small conference room, practicing what she had learned last time.
Josie had a high talent for learning the violin. She could learn many complex notes and pieces after being taught just once.
"Josie, I brought you something delicious today."
Caroline put the violin on the table and took out a small cake.
Josie didn't move.
"What's wrong? This is your favorite strawberry flavor."
Josie said, "My mom said I can't eat sweets; I have cavities."
Caroline frowned slightly. She felt that Josie didn't seem to like her as much these past few days.
