Chapter 38 What a Coincidence

"Gabriel, what are you doing here? Are you working?" Tiffany walked over with joy, happy to run into Gabriel. Then she greeted Sam, "Sam, do you want to see Auntie?"

Little Sam ignored her and continued eating his meal. Anyway, he often ignored Auntie Tiffany, and Daddy would always think it was because he was sick, so Daddy wouldn't blame him.

"Why are you here?" Gabriel subconsciously looked towards the bathroom.

"I came here to have dinner with my best friend. I didn't expect to run into you. If you're busy with work, I won't disturb you," she said understandingly.

Tiffany's best friend had already sat down nearby, and she also wanted to go over and say hello to Gabriel with a wave of her hand. However, Tiffany told her that Gabriel didn't like it, so she had to hold back.

"Mm," Gabriel responded lightly, as usual. He never easily showed his emotions.

This often made Tiffany wonder if he really cared about her.

But then he would buy all kinds of luxury goods to spoil her.

That day, despite the small argument they had, Gabriel not only bought her a necklace but also a hundred thousand dollar handbag.

Gabriel was exceptionally generous to her. Whatever she wanted, Gabriel would have it delivered to her.

And because of his strange illness, hardly any other women could get close to him and compete with her.

Tiffany felt completely secure. But since Sophia appeared, she always felt uneasy, thinking that Sophia had come back to steal her things.

Little Sam tugged on Gabriel's sleeve and gestured with his hands, "I want to go to the bathroom."

"Mm," Gabriel pretended to get up to take him, but little Sam refused.

"I'll go alone."

When they ate out before, Sam usually went to the bathroom alone, and Gabriel let him go by himself.

With little Sam gone, Tiffany couldn't be happier. She sat down in the seat where Sam was just sitting and wanted to get closer to Gabriel, to have a sweet and affectionate moment with him.

But Gabriel didn't like publicly displaying affection outside. It made him feel uncomfortable, so he pretended not to notice Tiffany's intentions.

"Gabriel, you've been so busy lately. You haven't had a proper meal with me..."

...

Sophia cried her heart out in the bathroom and came out, splashing water on her face. When she looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes were red, like a bunny's.

Would it be inappropriate for her to appear in front of Sam like this?

And if Gabriel saw her, he would definitely make fun of her.

Should she wait a bit longer before going out?

Just as Sophia was hesitating, someone pulled her by the corner of her clothes. She looked down.

"Sam, how did you come in here?"

Little Sam blushed and felt awkward. He had never been in the women's bathroom before; this was his first time.

Was he a pervert?

After a quick tug, Sam quickly turned around and ran away.

"Is the fast running supposed to go unnoticed by others? Sophia quickly caught up, and Sam stopped outside the restroom.

"Sam, were you worried about me, so you came looking for me?" Sophia felt so delighted in her heart. Her son was considerate and caring, and he did have some feelings for her after all.

Taking a deep breath, Sam regretted his actions just now. If his dad found out that he had entered the women's restroom, he would be scolded.

"Thank you for caring about me, but I'm fine now." Sophia crouched down, wanting to pinch the adorable little Sam, but withdrew her hand sensibly.

Sam gestured, "I wasn't worried about you at all."

Sophia couldn't fully understand this more complicated gesture, but she guessed it from Sam's proud eyes. However, she didn't admit it.

"Auntie knows now, Auntie won't cry anymore in the future, and won't make you worry either."

Sam widened his eyes, wondering what was wrong with this auntie. How did she distort his meaning?

Though the reason for his visit was indeed because he saw her crying, he definitely wouldn't admit it.

Besides his dad and great-grandmother, he didn't want to worry about anyone else.

"By the way, I'm learning sign language recently. Take a look at how well I'm learning." Sophia started gesturing, and her gestures were a bit clumsy but barely understandable.
Sam looked at her blankly, feeling a strange sensation in his heart. He didn't know what it was, but he liked it and couldn't help reaching out his hand, wanting to hold on tightly.
Seeing him grab and grab at his hand, Sophia curiously asked, "What does this mean?"

Sam snapped out of it and ignored her, coldly turning around and walking towards the lobby.

Sophia followed behind, smiling happily.

"Sam, with such short legs, how can you walk so fast? Wait for me."

Hmph, this woman actually said his legs were short. He decided to ignore her from now on.

Sophia was used to joking around with her two little darlings, so after saying that, she realized that Sam was different from Ethan and Emma. She couldn't joke like this.

But on second thought, there's nothing different, right? He was just sick. If he was her son, she should treat him equally. If she treated him differently, he would feel uncomfortable too.

She happily caught up, forcibly holding Sam's hand, and immediately checked his expression. Seeing that he didn't reject her or pull his hand away, Sophia felt as sweet as honey.
She finally got to hold her son's hand, hehe.

But this sweetness disappeared when she saw Tiffany.

Seeing Sophia holding Sam's hand and approaching, a wave of anger surged in Tiffany's eyes, but with Gabriel by her side, she didn't dare to easily show it.

"Oh, Miss Foster." Sophia calmly looked at Tiffany.

"So it was Miss Kelly who was discussing work with Gabriel." Tiffany said sarcastically.

"Let's all eat together, Miss Foster." Sophia said, I'm more than happy to invite her.""

Tiffany is annoyed because she often does things that upset her.

Now that Tiffany has taken that seat, she can have Sam sit beside her.

She gestured for Sam to sit next to her, but Gabriel coolly glanced at her and said, "Your friend has been waiting for you for a long time."

He reminded Tiffany.

Tiffany realized and felt deeply resentful.

"Well, I'll go first. Miss Kelly, please take your time eating."

Reluctantly, Tiffany walked over to her friend's table, which was two tables away. They couldn't hear each other's conversations, and Tiffany wasn't in the mood. After sitting down, she kept an eye on Gabriel's side.

Her friend curiously asked her, "Who is that woman? Why is she having dinner with your boyfriend?"

Tiffany felt sick in her heart but had to pretend to be magnanimous.

"They're talking about work."

"Oh, but I thought your boyfriend wasn't interested in other women, besides you."

Tiffany saw the smirk in her friend's eyes, but she couldn't start a fight with her. It made her even more sick, and her heart was aching.

Sophia didn't have time to deal with Tiffany. She finally managed to get Sam to sit beside her and focused on building a mother-son relationship, completely ignoring Gabriel.
Gabriel sat there with a dark face, unable to eat a single bite of food.

Isn't this situation a bit too coincidental today?
