Chapter 749 Submission
Considering various factors, Sophia and Caroline decided to hold the wedding after the spring.
The three families were particularly happy. Originally, the Wolf family and the Lancaster family had little interaction, and they had no contact with the Blackwood family. Because of Sophia and Caroline's wedding, the three families now had a very good relationship.
In City B, the Wolf family, the Lancaster family, the Blackwood family, and the Watson family were all thriving, showing a trend of dominating the business world.
At the start of the new year, Gabriel became busy.
A lot had happened last year. After a busy end of the last year, there were still many collaborations to finalize in the new year.
"Mr. Lancaster, the institution that was heavily buying company stocks has been investigated."
Gabriel responded calmly, as this was within his expectations.
The person behind this institution was Jake. With Jake being caught, the institution wouldn't last long, especially since it maliciously disrupted the stock market.
Alex handed over a document.
"This is the asset list from the legal department."
Gabriel glanced at it and then put it in the drawer.
In the afternoon, after finishing his meeting, Gabriel left work directly.
Gabriel went to Fusion Dynamics Corporation to pick up Sophia from work.
In the evening, Sophia spent time with the kids and returned to the bedroom after putting them to sleep.
Gabriel, wearing a light gray bathrobe and holding a glass of red wine, sat on the sofa with his long legs crossed. His arms were spread out on the back of the sofa, revealing his delicate collarbone, elegant jawline, and faintly visible chest muscles. Sophia's heart fluttered as she saw him.
She found herself increasingly unable to resist him.
"Darling," Gabriel called her in that deep voice she loved, which was very seductive.
Sophia swallowed.
"What?"
"Come sit here," Gabriel gently patted the empty spot beside him, his eyes gleaming as he smiled.
Gabriel exuded a strong hormonal aura.
Sophia, having worked all day and played with the kids in the evening, was indeed a bit tired. She simply sat down and leaned into his arms. Gabriel's well-defined hand lifted her hair and twirled it around his fingers.
"You've worked hard," Gabriel said, lowering his head to smell her hair.
They sat there warmly, and Sophia found Gabriel was like a very comfortable pillow.
"Don't move," Gabriel suddenly grabbed her shoulder.
Sophia said coquettishly, "My back itches."
Gabriel reached under her clothes, "Here?"
"A bit higher, yes, right there. Lighter, too light, harder, yes, just like that, so comfortable."
Betty, who was standing at the door and holding two servings of tonic, smiled gently and then quietly left.
"They didn't eat?" Ruth noticed that the two servings of tonic were untouched.
Betty smiled, "They're busy with something."
Ruth's eyes lit up, "Let's eat it ourselves and make more for them tomorrow."
"Betty, do you think we'll have another child in the family?"
Ruth's face turned serious at the thought, "Better not. Sophia's body can't handle it."
"Let's have the doctor check Sophia another day, or maybe Gabriel should get a vasectomy."
A vasectomy?
Betty fell silent.
Upstairs, Sophia and Gabriel were quietly embracing. Gabriel put down the wine glass and then took out a document for Sophia.
"Asset list?" Sophia read the words on it.
"Is this all yours?" she asked.
Gabriel nodded happily, "Yes, this is all the wealth I've accumulated for you."
Sophia looked at it sweetly. She was shocked by what she saw.
Gabriel had so many assets!
He had properties all over the country, not to mention the cars in the Lancaster Manor garage, another parking lot, two yachts, a private jet, and many investments.
Gabriel then took out a bunch of bank cards.
"I don't know how much is in these. I rarely use these two black cards; you can use them for fun."
"Oh, and this is my salary card."
Gabriel handed the salary card to Sophia with a sense of accomplishment.
Sophia took it and casually asked, "How much is your salary?"
Gabriel replied, "I don't know, it should be six figures monthly."
His salary was set by the finance department, and he didn't care much about it. What he cared about most were the company's year-end bonuses and those multi-million dollar funds.
Sophia looked deeply at Gabriel.
"Why are you suddenly handing all this over to me?"
Sophia thought, 'Could it be that Gabriel did something to betray her and felt guilty, so he wanted to make it up to her? If he dared...'
Gabriel leaned his head on her shoulder, his voice low.
"I heard that the thing that gives a wife the most security is handing over the salary card."
"I thought about it, and my salary card alone wouldn't give you enough security, so I had the lawyer list all my assets and transfer them to you."
Sophia's heart was deeply moved, and her eyes felt warm.
She was very touched. Although she wasn't short of money now, as she was doing well at Fusion Dynamics Corporation and would inherit it in the future, and Celeste and David gave her a lot of pocket money every month. Gabriel's willingness to give her all his assets showed his trust in her.
Gabriel noticed that Sophia was silent for a long time and thought he had said something to upset her. He quickly straightened up, held her shoulders, and turned her around.
Seeing her red eyes, Gabriel was stunned.
Sophia's tears fell, and Gabriel's fingers quickly wiped them away.
"Why are you crying?"
"I should be the one crying. I'll have nothing left in the future, darling, you'll have to take care of me."
Sophia threw herself into his arms, deeply moved and at a loss for words.
"You've given me all this, what about the kids?"
Gabriel replied, "Ethan and Sam will earn their own. As for Emma, we can take care of her for life."
Sophia nodded in his arms.
After a while, she realized the problem and suddenly looked up.
"You don't plan on letting Emma get married, do you?"
Gabriel, who was caught in his little scheme, rolled his eyes and remained silent.
Finally, under Sophia's gaze, he arrogantly said, "If Emma meets someone she likes, she can get married, but the person must be better than me."
Sophia silently cheered for Emma's future husband, who was still unknown.
"I'm going to take a shower," Sophia said, putting the things down.
As soon as she stood up, Gabriel pulled her back, making her sit on his lap unexpectedly.
"Shower later."
Sophia's heart raced, "I have sweat on me."
"We'll sweat later anyway. Let's shower after the workout."
With that, Sophia was pinned down on the sofa.
