Chapter 665 Stay
Daisy thought to herself, "I'm totally abandoned now! And it's all because of Caroline. Why does she have to be my relative?"
If she had dealt with Caroline right away, she wouldn't be in this mess, Mia wouldn't be in jail, and Michael wouldn't have run off.
"I hate her!" she screamed inside.
That evening, the Watsons' nanny and driver showed up at the hospital with Daisy's luggage and Trevor.
"Ms. Wolf, we brought all your stuff and Trevor's too. If you want, we can take them to your place."
Daisy's eyes went wide.
"What do you mean?"
"Are the Watsons kicking me out?" she wondered.
"I'm one of the Watsons! How dare you take all my things out!" she yelled.
The nanny, startled by her outburst, stammered, "Mr. Watson ordered it."
"Aragorn!" she thought, clenching her fists.
Daisy had always feared Aragorn would kick her out if he found out the truth, so she tried to keep it hidden. But in the end, she couldn't escape her fate.
Daisy felt even more bitter.
She hated the Wolfs for visiting and spilling the beans, she hated Aragorn's coldness, she hated Nicholas for not loving her, and she hated Caroline for stealing Nicholas's love.
The nanny and driver, scared she might lose it, left the luggage and Trevor on the couch and quickly took off.
Trevor suddenly started wailing.
Daisy's head pounded. She glared at Trevor with resentment. She threw off the covers and got out of bed, slowly walking over.
Trevor's cries were loud, his little hands and feet flailing, his mouth wide open, crying pitifully.
Daisy's face twisted with rage.
She reached out her hand.
"Whose kid is crying like this, and no one's comforting him?" A voice from outside snapped Daisy back to reality.
She quickly pulled her hand back.
Footsteps approached, and Daisy hastily picked up Trevor.
The nurse arrived, and Daisy handed Trevor to her, then went back to bed.
After a while, the nurse changed Trevor's diaper, and he finally stopped crying. She then placed Trevor beside Daisy.
Daisy looked down at Trevor.
From Trevor's face, she felt a vague sense of familiarity.
Trevor only looked about 30% like her; the rest was probably his dad's spitting image.
Daisy bit her lip, her gaze dark and sinister as it fell on the luggage.
Daisy thought, "Since Aragorn is so heartless, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Paul told Nicholas about Aragorn kicking Daisy out, and Nicholas then told Caroline.
Caroline blinked.
Nicholas raised an eyebrow, "Not happy?"
Caroline nodded.
"How could I not be happy?" she thought.
Today they went to assert their dominance, and she avenged the beating Daisy gave her back then. Although Daisy's beating was relatively light in comparison, she still felt a sense of satisfaction.
Caroline pondered, "Now that Daisy has been kicked out of the Watson Mansion, what's she got left? With Aragorn's opportunistic nature, he definitely won't acknowledge Daisy and Nicholas's engagement anymore. Who knows, Aragorn might shamelessly restore my engagement with Nicholas."
However, for Nicholas and Caroline, the engagement no longer mattered.
After having lunch at the Wolf Manor and staying until the evening, Clayton took Josie out to play for the afternoon.
Naturally, they stayed for dinner at the Wolf Manor.
After dinner, Daniel held Josie.
"Josie, do you like Grandpa's house?"
Josie answered happily, "Yes."
"Then do you want to sleep here tonight? Tomorrow morning, I can take you to pick vegetables from the garden."
Josie's eyes lit up. She thought for a moment and then looked at Caroline.
"Is Mommy staying too?"
Daniel and Linda both looked at Caroline nervously, waiting for her answer.
Caroline hadn't planned on staying at the Wolf Mansion. She was stunned for a moment and wanted to refuse, but seeing Daniel and Linda's hopeful and nervous faces, and Josie clearly wanting to stay, she hesitated.
"Caroline, it's already so late. Why don't you stay here with Lisa and Josie?" Clayton quickly chimed in.
To persuade Caroline to stay, Daniel gave Nicholas a look, hoping he would help convince her.
Caroline caught Daniel's look and felt an inexplicable urge to laugh.
"Alright," Caroline eventually agreed.
Linda happily hugged Daniel, momentarily overwhelmed with excitement and at a loss for what to do.
After a while, she hurriedly instructed the servants to prepare the room.
Caroline had already visited the room they had prepared for her. Now that she was moving in, she felt a whole bunch of different emotions.
Lisa stayed in a guest room on the first floor. Nicholas had no reason to stay, so he left the Wolf Mansion at eight-thirty.
The walk-in closet was filled with clothes in Caroline's size, the bathroom had a complete set of toiletries, and even skincare products were available.
"Have they always been prepared for me to stay?" she wondered.
Looking at all this, Caroline felt a warmth in her heart once again.
Clayton and Josie were playing in the living room, while Daniel and Linda sat on the couch. Linda held Daniel's hand and whispered to him.
"It's so good that we found Caroline. We should dote on Caroline and Josie even more."
Daniel said, "Yes, it would be great if Caroline could move back home."
Since Caroline and Nicholas weren't married yet, Caroline was still single and could move back home. Even after marriage, Caroline could come back whenever she wanted.
Linda agreed, also hoping that Caroline and Josie could move back home so she could see them every day.
"I feel like Caroline hasn't completely forgiven us yet," Linda said, lowering her eyes in disappointment.
Daniel frowned.
Caroline was close to them, but she still hadn't fully called them Mom and Dad.
Caroline must still be blaming them.
Caroline took a bath and found a set of loungewear in the walk-in closet. She slowly walked downstairs, her noble aura somewhat resembling Linda's.
And looking at her now, she could definitely see a resemblance to Linda.
"Caroline, come and sit."
Linda beckoned Caroline over.
So Caroline sat beside her.
Josie ran over and threw herself onto Caroline's lap.
Clayton pretended to be irritated and said, "Don't think that just because you're hiding in your mom's arms, I can't do anything to you!"
Josie playfully stuck out her tongue.
Clayton reached out to grab Josie, intending to tickle her, but Josie giggled and hid in Caroline's arms.
The scene was lively and warm.
After a few minutes, Clayton let Josie go and suddenly remembered something.
"Oh, Caroline, I have something to show you."
Before Caroline could react, Clayton ran off.
A few minutes later, Clayton returned with a thick photo album.
