Paul gave Christina a puzzled look. Paul thought, 'Why do I feel that her gaze towards me was strange?'
Nicholas received a call from Paul and learned that Trevor's surgery was successful, so he didn't go to the hospital to visit.
Caroline also returned to the Wolf Mansion.
The next morning, Simon arrived at the Wolf Mansion, and Caroline warmly welcomed him.
Simon waved his hand, "Where's the patient?"
Lisa, looking pale, came out of the room with the help of a servant. She had been feeling increasingly weak lately, and it was no use going to the hospital.
"Simon, please take a look at her," Caroline said anxiously.

Lisa offered her other hand for Simon to check.

Caroline's heart sank, and she asked, "Simon, how is she?"
"Give me all her medical records."
Caroline quickly found the records and handed them to Simon.
Ten minutes later, Simon said solemnly, "During the previous surgeries, some cancer cells spread to other areas. No matter how we treat it now, it's hopeless."
"What!" Caroline was devastated and sat there in a daze.
Lisa had been prepared for this result. She knew her body well and had felt that her life was close to the end even before the surgery. The surgery had only extended her life a bit.
At that time, her biggest concern was Caroline and Josie. Now that Caroline had found her biological parents and her own happiness, Lisa had no more worries. So when she first felt unwell, she chose to hide it.
Until now, Lisa couldn't hide it any longer and followed Caroline's wish to let Simon check her pulse.
Simon said, "The patient should maintain a good mood. Besides these two medications, she doesn't need to take any others. Taking too many will have side effects and hasten her death."
Simon pointed to two specific anti-cancer drugs.
Caroline hadn't recovered from the shock of the bad news.
Linda, also worried, asked, "Is there really no other way? Can't we manage it somehow?"
Simon replied, "Her body is severely weak now. Any medication will either speed up her death or have no effect."

Caroline cried hard and then saw Simon off.
"Lisa, where do you want to go? I'll go with you," Caroline said, holding Lisa's arm and leaning on her shoulder.
Lisa thought for a moment, "Let's go to City H."
She was originally born in City H. Due to a difficult family situation, she left home early and later dedicated herself to the orphanage, never marrying or having children.
Now, before leaving this world, she wanted to visit her hometown and see Saskia.

Nicholas turned his wheelchair and left without saying anything.
No matter which family Aragorn wanted to ally with, it had nothing to do with him.
Paul remained silent. He knew that Aragon only cared about power and interests.
Despite the strained relationship with Nicholas, Aragorn still wanted to interfere in Nicholas's marriage.
