Chapter 563 Completely Embarrassed

Nicholas's words hit like a grenade, blowing up the whole room.

Everyone was shell-shocked for a sec.

Aragorn was frozen, then his face went ice-cold after a couple of beats.

"What did you just say?"

Nicholas, cool as a cucumber, repeated, "He ain't my kid."

Aragorn thought Nicholas was just trying to dodge responsibility for Daisy and Trevor, and he was so mad his chest felt like it was gonna explode.

"Do you even know what day it is? Do you have any idea what you're saying?" he barked.

Nicholas stayed chill, "Yeah, I know exactly what I'm saying."

Aragorn snapped, "You!"

Daisy chimed in, "Nicholas, did you get something twisted?"

She felt super wronged and thought, 'Why doesn't Nicholas believe Trevor's his kid? Didn't he already do a paternity test? Yeah! The paternity test!'

Daisy suddenly remembered. Could it be... Her eyes widened as she looked at Trevor in Aragorn's arms.

Mia and Michael stepped up, trying to talk some sense into Nicholas for the sake of both families.

"Man, with all these people here, you're just making yourself look bad," Michael scolded angrily.

Nicholas smirked, his voice rough and low, "Is it me looking bad, or are you all feeling guilty? We'll see soon enough."

Daisy shook her head. "Nicholas, no, Trevor is your son."

Linda looked at Daisy crying and felt a pang of sympathy.

"You say Trevor isn't your son, got any proof?"

Nicholas nodded, "Yep."

He raised his hand, and Sharpe handed over a document.

Nicholas pulled out the paternity test report.

"Here's the paternity test."

The crowd went nuts.

Daisy stared at the report, her face going pale.

'How could this be? How could this happen!' she thought.

The report clearly said Trevor had no blood relation to Nicholas.

Trevor wasn't Nicholas's son.

Aragorn couldn't believe it and snatched the report. He stared at it, flipping through it desperately to confirm.

He then handed it to Gummidge. "Check this out."

Gummidge was just as shocked.

"What does it say?" Aragorn asked.

Gummidge, voice trembling, said, "Trevor really isn't Nicholas's kid."

Aragorn swayed and almost fell back.

Luckily, Daniel caught him, pinching his nose until Aragorn came to.

His mind was foggy, like a black mist clouded his vision.

Gummidge looked worried, glancing between Aragorn and Nicholas.

Nicholas's face was stone-cold, his lips pressed tight.

After a bit, Aragorn caught his breath and looked at Daisy with a mix of emotions.

"Daisy, what the hell is going on?"

He had always treated Trevor like his own grandson, giving him the best of everything and all his love.

But now, Trevor had nothing to do with the Watsons.

Daisy shook her head frantically. "I don't know, I don't know. How could he not be Nicholas's kid? No, the paternity test must be wrong, wrong."

She screamed, totally losing it.

Mia tried to calm her down, "Daisy, don't freak out, calm down, Daisy."

Nicholas's icy voice cut through the air, "Six years ago, you played me, made me think Caroline was the bad guy, kept Caroline and Josie apart for six years, and made me hate Caroline for six years."

"Daisy, our engagement was just a fantasy cooked up by our parents. I never agreed to it."

"From start to finish, the one I cared about, the one I loved, was always Caroline."

"I don't give a damn about your personal life, but don't go having a kid and pinning it on me."

"Let me be clear: if this happens again, we're heading straight to a shrink."

Nicholas's words hit Daisy like a ton of bricks, each one twisting the knife deeper.

'What does he mean by randomly having a child? How could he humiliate me like this!' Daisy fumed.

Tears blurred Daisy's vision, and the pain in her chest made it hard to breathe, leaving her gasping for air.

She couldn't say anything for a long time.

Now everyone got it.

It was clear that Daisy’s marriage to Nicholas was a sham to trap him, but she also had another man's kid and made Nicholas the dad.

The craziest part was that Aragorn and Gummidge were dumb enough to help Daisy with all this.

They even wanted Daisy and her lover's kid to be the Watson heir.

People were already whispering about the Watsons and the Wolfs.

Michael was so mad his veins were popping, feeling utterly humiliated tonight!

He wanted to blow up, but Daniel's look made him back down.

Daniel's face was also super grim.

This whole scene tonight was a mess.

He glared at Michael and then gave Linda a look.

Linda walked over to support Daisy and signaled Mia with her eyes.

Linda and Mia, with a mix of gentle persuasion and firm guidance, steered the distraught Daisy away from the scene.

As they left, Linda signaled Diana to follow, but Diana's eyes were only on Paul.

Aragorn knew the party was over.

He said wearily, "Everyone, I'm sorry, there was an incident tonight that disrupted your enjoyment. I'll visit to apologize another day in person."

Everyone quickly said, "It's okay, Mr. Watson, you should handle your family matters. We'll leave now."

After all, they had seen enough drama and could go home.

The crowd left, chatting among themselves.

Paul, still a Watson, saw Aragorn's angry and grim face and jumped off his chair to help see the guests out.

After the guests left, Nicholas was about to bounce too.

Aragorn called out to him, "Wait."

Nicholas signaled Sharpe to stop.

Aragorn's eyes were red, and the wrinkles on his face seemed deeper, with more white hair on his head.

At this moment, maybe because of the shock or just getting old, his usual tough-guy vibe seemed weaker.

"Since you're back, stay at home."

Paul's eyes widened slightly.

'The always tough-as-nails Aragorn is bowing to Nicholas?'

Nicholas still showed no expression.

"My home isn't here."

With that, Sharpe pushed him away without looking back.

Caroline was already waiting at the entrance.

As soon as Nicholas arrived, he grabbed Caroline's hand.
