Chapter 709 She Crashed

Nicholas had one foot in the car when he caught sight of a rapidly approaching vehicle from the corner of his eye. Instinctively, he pushed Caroline away forcefully.

Nicholas shouted, "Watch out."

Caroline screamed, "Nicholas!"

In the nick of time, Sharpe shoved Nicholas towards Caroline, causing Nicholas to fall on top of her.

Daisy's car crashed violently into the rear of Nicholas's car, pushing it several meters forward. Sharpe, unable to get away in time, was also hit and thrown aside.

Daisy slumped over the steering wheel, motionless, possibly unconscious.

People from the hospital quickly gathered to check the situation, and doctors and nurses rushed out upon hearing the news.

When Nicholas and Caroline fell, Nicholas protected Caroline's head with his hand, so her head was unscathed, but his hand was severely injured.

"Nicholas," Caroline's voice trembled.

Nicholas comforted, "Yes, I'm here. Don't be afraid, it's okay now."

Nicholas held Caroline tightly, gently stroking her back to comfort her.

Caroline touched his waist and back with both hands, "Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine." Nicholas said.

His leg was injured and immobile, so he could only sit on the ground.

"Sharpe," Caroline saw Sharpe lying in the distance and the car that had crashed.

Medical personnel were performing emergency treatment on Sharpe, and someone was carrying Daisy out of the car.

Aragorn had just finished his injection. Gummidge and Ashley were accompanying him for a walk when they saw the crowd.

"That's Nicholas's car," Ashley immediately recognized it.

Aragorn's pupils contracted sharply, and he quickly walked over.

Gummidge hurriedly followed.

"Nicholas," Gummidge rushed over, looking at Nicholas with concern, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Aragorn also looked at Nicholas with concern, wanting to speak but saying nothing.

"Daisy?" Ashley saw Daisy being carried out and the two wrecked cars, quickly understanding what had happened.

Daisy wasn't seriously injured; she had just hit her head and passed out. After being carried out and examined, she quickly woke up.

The doctor asked her, "Do you feel any other discomfort?"

Daisy shook her head slightly.

Her memory was momentarily confused, but when she saw Nicholas, she remembered everything.

Caroline helped Nicholas stand up intimately; she was unscathed, but Nicholas's leg was immobile while the other could stand.

Daisy stared at Nicholas's legs and then at his hand holding Caroline's.

Daisy got up and charged again.

Daisy didn't care; she just wanted to separate them, to ensure they could never be together.

Everyone was caught off guard, and even Nicholas didn't react in time.

Seeing Daisy about to crash into him, Nicholas knew that if he fell again, his leg might never heal.

At that moment, a figure rushed out from the side, colliding with Daisy.

They both fell, and Daisy's hand and head hurt so much she almost passed out again.

Someone came up to restrain Daisy.

"Aragorn."

"Honey!"

Gummidge and Ashley rushed to help Aragorn up.

Aragorn's face was even paler; Daisy had used almost all her strength, and Aragorn, already weak, felt as if his internal organs were shattered.

"Let me go. Let me go," Daisy glared at Caroline and Nicholas with bloodshot eyes.

"I want to kill her, kill her, only then can I be happy." Daisy screamed hysterically.

Nicholas struggled to stand, pulling Caroline behind him protectively.

This action further agitated Daisy.

Daisy shouted, "Why, why? Why, Nicholas, don't you like me? I've done so much for you, why?"

Daisy suddenly laughed maniacally, "I even crashed my car into you to keep you, but even with your legs crippled, you still think of her. What's wrong with me?"

Daisy screamed, "Nicholas, why won't you even look at me?"

Nicholas's eyes were cold, "You were the one who hit me back then?"

"Yes, it was me," Daisy's face twisted, her right cheek scraped from the fall, making her look like a terrifying demon.

"You insisted on finding Caroline. I did so much to separate you two, but you still wanted to find her. I had no choice but to crash into you, so you couldn't go to her." Daisy sneered.

Daisy continued, "But I didn't expect to hurt you so badly. You were almost a vegetable, but I stayed by your side. Doesn't that deserve your love? Your legs were crippled, but I didn't mind. I even helped you take care of Josie. I did so much, but you still only thought of Caroline."

The more Daisy spoke, the more aggrieved she felt, tears streaming down her face.

Caroline, hearing this, looked at Nicholas with a heartache.

She hadn't known he had almost become a vegetable back then.

Nicholas's hand tightly protected Caroline.

The driver who hit him had fled, and the surveillance on that road was incomplete. Later, the driver turned himself in and was still serving his sentence.

He had been in a coma and didn't know these details. After waking up, he didn't pursue it further due to various reasons, so he missed the best time to investigate.

Daisy was lost in her self-pity, crying continuously."You! It was you!" Aragorn's eyes seemed to blaze as he stared at Daisy.

The culprit behind Nicholas's leg injury was the very Daisy he had once wanted Nicholas to marry!

How ironic.

He had kept the person who almost killed Nicholas in his home, trying to match her with Nicholas.

Aragorn now wanted to kill Daisy himself.

He couldn't accept this fact, his hand pointing at Daisy trembling and then dropping.

"Aragorn," Ashley quickly called a doctor to take Aragorn to the hospital for emergency treatment, then said to Caroline, "Miss Clark, help Nicholas inside to check his leg."

"Okay," Caroline wanted to go up and hit Daisy again, but Nicholas's injury was more urgent.

Daisy wouldn't run away.

Ashley slapped Daisy's face, scratching her other cheek.

Caroline heard the sound and looked back and felt satisfied.

Ashley also looked back, meeting Caroline's eyes, and smiled slightly.

Half an hour later, the chaos finally subsided. Sharpe and Aragorn were in the emergency room, and fortunately, Nicholas's leg wasn't broken, just severely bruised.

Caroline had a minor scratch on her arm, and Nicholas insisted on the nurse treating her.

Another half hour later, Sharpe was wheeled out of the emergency room.
