Chapter 467 Cooperation
Since they were children, Patricia loved to compete with Sophia. Whatever Sophia had, Patricia had to have too. If she couldn't get it, Patricia would find any way to take it from her.
Back then, Sophia's mother was still alive and often took her back to the Brown family. Whenever Patricia threw a tantrum, Chloe, Logan, and Ella would go to her mother, who would usually end up reluctantly giving in to Patricia.
Someone like Patricia, even if she didn't want something, would rather destroy it than give it to Sophia.
Yet here was Patricia, generously giving away a necklace worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Sophia couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with Patricia.
"Is this it?" Sophia disdainfully tossed the necklace back.
Patricia instinctively reached out to catch it. Hearing the disdain in Sophia's voice, she almost couldn't contain her emotions.
How dare Sophia be so dismissive of her!
"Don't you know how much this necklace is worth? With your salary at the Lancaster Group, you probably couldn't afford it even after working for years."
Sophia said, "I heard from Logan that you went abroad for further studies. but it seems you're still stupid."
"What do you mean?"
"Patricia, if you want to get closer to me, at least do some research. What position do I hold at the Lancaster Group? Do you think you can just give me a necklace worth nearly a hundred thousand dollars and we'll be sisters again? That would make our sisterhood really cheap."
Hearing Sophia's words, Patricia was so angry that she wanted to scratch her face. She only held back at the thought of the Blackwood family.
Before the Blackwoods met Sophia, she had to take control of Sophia and persuade her to go abroad.
"How much do you want?" Patricia held back her anger, making an offer like a gauche nouveau riche.
Sophia looked at her. Patricia was covered in gaudy jewelry, and Sophia found her very vulgar.
Patricia loved vanity and competition. As long as she had some money, she would flaunt it everywhere.
It seemed the Brown Group had really come back to life, as Patricia could now wear jewelry worth the price of a car.
When the incident happened years ago, the Brown family sold off many things, leaving Patricia with only jewelry worth a few thousand dollars. She was too embarrassed to go out for fear of being laughed at.
Now that the Brown family was wealthy again, Patricia couldn't wait to show off in front of Sophia.
Given this, Sophia named a price. "Since you're so sincere, it would take at least a hundred million dollars to convince me join you in your sisterhood."
"A hundred million dollars! Sophia, are you crazy?"
Although she had seen the wealth and power of the Blackwood family, Patricia's allowance was nowhere near the price that Sophia had named. Besides, most of her assets were jewlery.
Even selling those wouldn't amount to a hundred million dollars.
Sophia sighed, "Since you think our sisterhood isn't worth a hundred million dollars, let's just cut ties forever."
With that, she turned and walked away.
Patricia gritted her teeth and said viciously, "Sophia, you'll regret this!"
Watching from a distance, Tiffany smiled slightly.
She knew Patricia. After Sophia faked her death, Patricia tried to take her place and marry into the Lancaster family.
However, Gabriel completely ignored Patricia.
'The enemy of my enemy is my friend.' With this in mind, Tiffany walked towards Patricia.
"Ms. Brown?"
Patricia was about to continue harassing the receptionist when she heard someone call her. She turned impatiently and saw Tiffany. Her eyes narrowed, and she raised her chin defiantly, looking at Tiffany with arrogance. "Who are you?"
Tiffany knew Patricia knew who she was, but she pretended not to recognize her. Tiffany cursed inwardly at Patricia, secretly thinking that she was an idiot.
No wonder Patricia couldn't handle Sophia.
"I'm Tiffany," she replied warmly.
"What do you want?"
"Ms. Brown, can we talk privately?"
Patricia wanted to see what Tiffany was up to, so she put on her sunglasses and followed Tiffany to a corner outside the Lancaster Group building.
"Say what you want quickly; my time is precious," Patricia urged impatiently.
Tiffany smiled. "Let's cooperate."
"Cooperate on what?"
"Gabriel and I broke up because of Sophia. Gabriel still has feelings for Sophia. As soon as she appeared, she easily won Gabriel's heart all over again." Tiffany lowered her head sadly, then quickly raised it, her voice firm. "I can't stand Sophia taking Gabriel away.
"Ms. Brown, you can't stand it either, right? We can work together to..."
"Sophia isn't a good person, and neither are you." Patricia looked at Tiffany's pretentious act and wanted to spit on her. "Don't think I don't know what you have in mind. You want to use me to get rid of Sophia and then take the credit for it all to yourself."
After a few years, Patricia's intelligence had increased!
Tiffany immediately denied it."I wouldn't do that. I've given up on Gabriel. I just can't stand Sophia getting Gabriel, and she ruined my career. I just want revenge."
Patricia didn't believe a word Tiffany said.
If it weren't for Tiffany's interference, she would have successfully married into the Lancaster family and replaced Sophia.
Tiffany was just a poor girl from a rural area. How could she monopolize Gabriel?
In terms of her family background, Tiffany could not compare in any way to Patricia.
Patricia looked at Tiffany with disdain, as if she were an ant.
"You want to use me for your revenge? Do you think you've got what it takes?"
Tiffany's hands were clenched tightly at her side.
She still smiled, trying to persuade Patricia.
If they could cooperate, dealing with Sophia would be much easier.
"Ms. Brown..."
"Don't speak. Every time you speak, I smell poverty." Patricia even pretended to wave her hand in front of her nose.
Tiffany gritted her teeth. From a distance, Patricia had looked like an arrogant and domineering woman, while Tiffany appeared weak and pure.
Tiffany couldn't stand the humiliation.
"Ms. Brown, if you're not interested, let's pretend I never said anything." Tiffany's expression changed.
Although she came from a poor background, she wouldn't allow Patricia to look down on her.
Patricia said, "You really think you're somebody special."
With that, she walked away proudly, like a peacock.
Tiffany clenched her fists, her gaze fixed on Patricia's figure.
Patricia would come to her for cooperation sooner or later!
Patricia looked at two locations, listened to Colin talk about their advantages, and saw that Jennifer and Celeste were satisfied.
She didn't dare to oppose, but Patricia still expressed her opinion.
She couldn't miss this opportunity to show off.
Sure enough, Celeste was very pleased with her resilience.
