Chapter 351 Give Them a Taste of Their Own Medicine

Charles was indeed a bit curious.

Nicholas had done him a great favor, and he genuinely cared about Nicholas's situation.

"It's because of Caroline," Daisy recalled the past and sighed heavily.

Charles suddenly understood. No wonder Nicholas's attitude towards Caroline was so strange as if he both loved and hated her.

"Caroline and Nicholas appeared to be a devoted pair, but their affection was merely superficial. Nicholas eventually realized that Caroline's love did not run deep within her heart.

"Nicholas and I were childhood sweethearts, our union orchestrated by our families in our youth. Upon learning of our arrangement, Caroline approached me with a demand for money."

"She said that if I gave her two million dollars, she would leave voluntarily and let me be with Nicholas."

"Hoping to secure a scholarship for overseas studies, Caroline took the bold step of ending her relationship with Nicholas. Devastated, Nicholas drowned his sorrows in alcohol. Unable to part ways with Caroline, he set aside his pride and pleaded for reconciliation. Tragically, his attempt was cut short by a car accident on a rain-slicked road.."

"It was that car accident that cost Nicholas his legs, and he has been confined to a wheelchair ever since."

As Daisy spoke, tears began to fall.

"Nicholas loved Caroline so much, but she couldn't see it at all."

"I really feel sorry for Nicholas, which is why I harbor such malice towards Caroline."

"Charles, help me get the surveillance footage, just to avenge Nicholas."

"We'll give Caroline a small lesson to warn her to stay away from Nicholas."

"Nicholas still has feelings for her, and I'm afraid Caroline will use that to hurt Nicholas again."

Daisy managed to persuade Charles.

Someone as outstanding as Nicholas should have been full of vigor, but due to years of being in a wheelchair, his temper had become increasingly unpredictable.

"Charles," Daisy called him with a tearful voice.

Charles frowned and said, "Alright, I'll help you ."

"Thank you."

Daisy turned around a triumphant smile on her face.

She thought, 'Caroline, this time I would make sure you paid a painful price!'

The next day, Sophia came to the hospital again, accompanied by a man holding a bouquet of flowers, his face full of affection for Tiffany.

"Ms. Foster, I've come to see you."

"Who are you?" Tiffany, half-lying on the bed, felt a tightness in her chest at the sight of Sophia. "Get out."

"Ms. Foster, don't you recognize me? I'm Jeffrey Walker, the one who confessed to you last time," Jeffrey said.

"Jeffrey? I don't know you at all. Both of you, get out!" Tiffany shouted.

"Ms. Foster, you're so badly injured," Jeffrey said as he walked over and put down the flowers, "Let me peel an apple for you."

"Get out!" Tiffany pushed him away.

Jeffrey reached out to touch her forehead and asked, "Are you feeling unwell?"

Sophia took out her phone and snapped a photo.

"Don't touch me!" Tiffany slapped Jeffrey's hand away in disgust.

Suddenly, Jeffrey hugged Tiffany, saying,

"Ms. Foster, don't get agitated. I mean no harm."

"I just genuinely admire you. Seeing you hurt makes me feel so sad."

"Does your wound hurt? Let me massage it for you."

"Get away from me, let go of me!" Tiffany screamed in despair.

"Ms. Foster, you're hurt here too. Let me help you," Jeffrey said, holding Tiffany tightly.

Tiffany was injured, her foot in a cast, and given the disparity in strength, she was utterly helpless against Jeffrey. The neckline of her hospital gown was quite wide, revealing her delicate collarbone and fair skin. Jeffrey was irresistibly drawn to her. He pretended to massage Tiffany and leaned in closer.

Sophia, on the side, was enthusiastically taking photos, each one more provocative than the last.

"Gabriel, save me, please save me," Tiffany cried out.

Sophia took a few more shots.

"Jeffrey, that's enough," she finally said.

Reluctantly, Jeffrey let go of Tiffany.

"Sophia, I want you dead," Tiffany screamed, trying to lunge at Sophia, but she couldn't even get out of bed.

Sophia walked over and grabbed Tiffany's chin harshly, her eyes cold and filled with malice.

"Then let's see who dies first!"

Sophia pulled up the photos she had just taken and showed them to Tiffany.

"Don't you love taking intimate photos with men? How about my photography skills? Pretty good, right?"

Years ago, when Sophia was pregnant, Tiffany had taken many intimate photos with Gabriel to provoke her, driving her into depression step by step.

Presently, Tiffany engaged in a similar behavior, sharing photos alongside Gabriel and Sam to exacerbate Sophia's distress, with the aim of unsettling her and potentially triggering a descent into melancholy once more.

This time, Sophia would not let Tiffany succeed. She was merely giving Tiffany a taste of her own medicine.

Forced to look at the photos, Tiffany's eyes filled with blood, her twisted expression making her swollen face look even more grotesque.

Sophia released Tiffany and stood up, looking down at her as if she were an ant.

"What do you think would happen if I sent these photos to Gabriel or posted them online?" Sophia asked casually.

Tiffany's head shot up. "You wouldn't dare!"

"Why wouldn't I? No one can trace it back to me."

"Gabriel won't let you get away with it."

"You two have broken up. Do you really think he still cares about you?" Sophia sneered.

Tiffany's clenched fists relaxed, and she suddenly laughed. "I saved Gabriel's life. He could never abandon me."

"We will get back together. I will become Mrs. Lancaster again. Go ahead, Sophia, try sending those photos."

Sophia was momentarily stunned. 'Tiffany had saved Gabriel?'

"Jeffrey, let's go," Sophia turned around.

Jeffrey was reluctant to leave.

"This Tiffany is ruthless. If you stay, she might have someone chop you up." Sophia's words made Jeffrey shiver, and he quickly followed her out.

Tiffany was trembling with rage until a nurse came to check on her, snapping her back to reality.

She thought, 'What have I just said?'

'I had actually told Sophia that I was Gabriel's savior.'

'This had always been my secret, my biggest leverage.'

'Now that Sophia knew, would she...'

Tiffany quickly tried to recall if she had said anything else in her impulsiveness. After a while, she relaxed.

'It was just that one sentence; Sophia wouldn't suspect anything more.'

Sophia was now caught up in the tense preparations for her new brand.

Fusion Dynamics Corporation had already selected the trainees as the first and second-place winners of the national fashion competition.

She, who had come in third, was not chosen.

Sophia had thought she would be selected, especially since Jennifer had expressed her admiration for her.

She believed her chances were high. But the outcome was unexpected.

Despite this, Sophia didn't blame Jennifer.

Her friendship with Jennifer was genuine, not just a means to get into Fusion Dynamics Corporation.
