Chapter 214 Two More Children

"I'm cooking tonight, Mr. Colin. How about coming to my place for dinner?"
"Sure," Colin agreed without hesitation.
Gabriel paused in his steps.
How could this woman casually invite a man home for dinner? Wasn't she afraid of inviting trouble home?
When Sophia hung up the phone, he asked casually, "Is Colin back in the country?"
"Yes," Sophia replied curtly. "Sam is coming home with me tonight. Mr. Colin can take a look at him."
"In that case, I'll go with you."
Sophia frowned. She regretted not avoiding Gabriel while on the phone.
If Colin was going to examine Sam, Gabriel would definitely be there.
"Mr. Lancaster, you’re a busy man. I wouldn't dare bother you. I'll update you on WhatsApp if there's anything."
Did she not want him to go to her house?
Gabriel gave her a cold look. What would she do if he insisted on going?
"Let's go."
He firmly stated and walked ahead.
Sophia gritted her teeth and followed him.
"I drove here."
Gabriel ignored her.
When they reached the parking lot,
"Let me hold Sam."
Gabriel ignored her again.
"Gabriel!"
Gabriel stopped. Sam, leaning on his father's shoulder, looked puzzled as his eyes darted between the two.
"Give Sam to me!"
Sophia glared coldly at Gabriel.
Gabriel's hand tightened, and his veins began bulging under his sleeve.
He stared deeply at Sophia, with his lips tightly pursed.
"Are you hiding something at your place that you don't want me to see?"
His eyes narrowed as he scrutinized Sophia; his gaze was like a spotlight, leaving her nowhere to hide.
In that moment, Sophia's heart raced. She felt too guilty to meet Gabriel's eyes.
She pretended to look him in the eye, but her gaze was fixed on his nose and lips. She smirked.
"Yes, I'm hiding a man. If you come, you'll scare him away."
A surge of anger rushed over Gabriel. He was angry at her, and even more at himself for seeking trouble.
In that moment, countless thoughts flashed through his mind, but he couldn't pinpoint any.
Everything around them was silent and stagnant for about a minute.
Gabriel's face was as cold as ice. His sharp eyes scanned her, and a few harsh words slipped from his mouth.
"You’re shameless, don't corrupt Sam."
Sophia's expression froze. It felt like a knife had stabbed her heart. Her eyes became even more fierce. She wouldn't back down or admit defeat.
"The shameless one is you. Don't corrupt Sam when you're being lovey-dovey with Tiffany."
Sophia then turned to Sam with a gentle look, "Sam, let Auntie Kelly hold you."
Sam patted his father's shoulder, indicating he wanted to get down.
He didn't understand what his father and Auntie Kelly had just said, but he felt the tension between them.
It seemed that bringing his father and Auntie Kelly together was going to be super challenging.
After landing, little Sam gestured with his hands.
"Daddy, Aunt Kelly, please stop arguing. It's not good for your health. Daddy, you have a sensitive stomach, and Aunt Kelly, you always have headaches. You both need to stay calm."
Sophia squatted down, pinched Sam's little face, and smiled, "Okay, Auntie promises not to get angry anymore. How about you go home with me?"
Sam nodded, then turned to his father, "I want to go to Aunt Kelly's house, can I?"
Gabriel couldn't resist his son's request.
"Sure, just stay away from any strangers you see."
Sam nodded in agreement.
"Aunt Kelly, you go to the car first; I want to talk to Daddy a bit more."
Sophia obediently got into the car, and then Sam turned his back to her and gestured to Gabriel.
"Daddy, Aunt Kelly is really nice. She cooks delicious food for me, makes clothes for me, tells me bedtime stories, and even protects me. She taught me how to make a cake..."
Sam listed all the things Aunt Kelly had done with him; Gabriel was deeply moved. These were all things he had never done with Sam.
In the end, Sam asked hesitantly, "Daddy, can you not marry Aunt Tiffany?"
Gabriel looked at his son's plump face and touched his hair.
"Alright, Daddy promises you."
Sam was very happy and hugged his father's leg. Ethan and Emma also liked to hug Aunt Kelly's leg.
Sophia, watching Sam get close to Gabriel from the car, felt a surge of jealousy well up within her.
When they got back, Sophia went straight to the kitchen to get busy, and Caroline went in to help her. The three kids were playing in the room.
Emma was live streaming, and Ethan and Sam were each playing on their iPads.
Sam quietly turned his body to hide his screen from Ethan, secretly opened the live stream, muted the sound, and kept sending gifts to Emma.
Emma glanced at him, then sweetly said, "Thank you Big John for the gifts; Milk Sugar loves them."
"I'll sing 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.’" Emma added.
As Emma sang, Gabriel, who was reviewing some documents, couldn't help but smile at the sound of her childish voice singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.' This little girl was just too adorable.
...
At Mansion Heights, Tiffany received a call from overseas. After hearing the report, she was so shocked that the gem in her hand dropped.
"What did you say?!" Tiffany stood up abruptly.
"Although Sophia and her children have erased traces of their lives, there are still people who know them. I asked those people, and they confirmed that Sophia has two children."
Tiffany started breathing heavily; she was barely able to hold onto her phone.
