Chapter 42 Calamity

Tiffany arrived late, and from her appearance, it seemed like she was apologizing to the parents of the other child, who left with a haughty demeanor, taking their own child with them. No wonder Sophia had questioned him and scolded him that day.

"Gabriel~" Tiffany knocked on the door and entered.

Alex's thoughts: Not only did Cao Cao arrive swiftly, but also with perfect timing.

Tiffany quickly realized that something was wrong. Gabriel's eyes were colder than ever before, causing her heart to skip a beat. She asked softly, "What's wrong?"

She looked at Alex with confusion, unable to meet Gabriel's gaze.

Alex couldn't say anything.

Gabriel remained silent, but the intensity emanating from his entire being made it impossible for anyone to breathe, afraid that one breath would lead to utter devastation. He turned the computer towards her and played the video for Tiffany to see.

Tiffany's face gradually turned pale, her hand that hung by her side slowly clenched, feeling restless, while her mind quickly raced... Why did Gabriel have this surveillance footage? She had made sure it was destroyed! And how did he know to check the surveillance?

It must have been Sophia who told Gabriel.

Indeed, Sophia's appearance was nothing but calamity, and her calculations were not mistaken.

After the video finished playing, Gabriel coldly stared at Tiffany, not missing any changes in her facial expressions. Unfortunately for Tiffany, she disguised herself well, lowering her head to conceal her guilt, before casually glancing at Gabriel.

"This was just children playing around, and I handled it at the time. No one will bully Sam again in the future," Tiffany continued to explain, "Sam wasn't hurt, so I didn't tell you. After all, you're already busy with work."

Gabriel half-believed her. What he wanted to know was why she picked up their child so late, not whether she had resolved the issue or why she didn't tell him about it.

Tiffany felt uneasy under Gabriel's scrutinizing gaze. His eyes seemed to see through everything she said. She always had a feeling that no matter what she said, he wouldn't believe her.

"Gabriel, don't you trust me?" Tiffany furrowed her brows and pouted, moving behind Gabriel to massage his shoulders.

"The parents of that child have already apologized to me. They are still young, and making some mistakes is unavoidable. Besides, Sam is usually ignored at school, so even though that child pushed him, it can be considered an introduction."

Gabriel's soft spot was their son, Sam. As long as she brought up Sam, Gabriel wouldn't delve deeper.

Sure enough, after hearing that, Gabriel's expression improved.

"Why were you so late?" Gabriel's voice, now low and deep, reached Scarlett.

Tiffany didn't immediately react and paused for a few seconds before her face slightly changed. "There was traffic that day."

Traffic during non-peak hours?

Gabriel didn't say anything more. Tiffany thought he believed her and felt secretly pleased in her heart.

"Indeed, the excuse of traffic congestion is always foolproof. Moreover, she has been so devoted to Sam before, and Gabriel has also noticed that. It is impossible for him to dismiss her just because she was late this one time. Tiffany felt relieved as the crisis was resolved.

"Alex, go and handle it," Gabriel ordered suddenly. Alex looked confused, "Handle what?" Gabriel gave him a piercing look, "What do you think?" Alex quickly realized and said, "Yes." Tiffany also looked bewildered, "Gabriel, what are you asking Ben to handle?" Gabriel replied in a low, sinister voice, "Of course, it is to let them know the consequences of bullying others." Tiffany couldn't understand the meaning behind his words.

The He family was finished. Tiffany's expression changed, feeling complicated inside. She wasn't sure if Gabriel believed her words anymore. But regardless, as long as Gabriel didn't blame her, it was good. ... Sophia had just finished the meeting and returned to her seat when she saw Tiffany entering the design department and walking straight towards her. She pretended not to see and organized her documents.

Tiffany approached and directly said, "Let's meet at Ruijia Cafe at two o'clock in the afternoon. I have something to tell you." Sophia smiled faintly, "I'm busy." She wasn't in the mood to listen to Tiffany. "I will wait for you there until you show up," Tiffany gritted her teeth, her words half-threateTiffany. Sophia couldn't be bothered to respond. Tiffany was so angry that she wanted to strangle Sophia on the spot, but she restrained herself, walked away in her high heels, under the envious gaze of others.

Charlotte curiously approached, "Sophia, do you know Miss Foster?" "No, I don't," she didn't want to know someone like her. "Then why did she look for you?" "I don't know, maybe she thinks I'm more beautiful than her? Jealous of me?" Sophia arrogantly joked, shocking Charlotte.

Larry made a disgusted expression, "Sophia, I finally understand why you're so confident, because you have thick skin, haha..." Sophia stuck out her tongue and made a face. The three of them joked around for a while and then got busy with their own tasks. They still had a meeting in the afternoon and needed to prepare, especially Sophia.

Although she had no issues with the business side, she was not familiar enough with the company's processes, which inevitably slowed down her progress. Fortunately, Charlotte was helpful and actively answered her questions, and with Larry, who had just become familiar with various procedures, Sophia thought about treating them to a meal after receiving their salaries.

After a good nap following lunch, Sophia woke up and started heading to the meeting room. As for Tiffany in the cafe, she had long forgotten about her. In the cafe, Tiffany was fuming, her face turning pale and then green. Sophia had actually dared to stand her up!

She had been waiting here all this time. Tiffany was so angry that she threw the spoon into the coffee, splashing the black-brown liquid all over the white tabletop and even onto her pristine white clothes.

Looking at the stain on her clothes, Tiffany became even angrier and made a phone call.

Sophia was in a meeting on the other side, and Gabriel was listeTiffany as well. Today's meeting was specifically for "Zhi Xiu," and all the senior leaders and designers in charge of Zhi Xiu had to attend.

Sophia sat three seats away from Gabriel, and the two of them acted as if they didn't know each other in the company.

"Sizzle..." Suddenly, a vibration sound from a cellphone came.

Everyone looked at Sophia.

Sophia immediately felt embarrassed and picked up her phone to silence it. She distinctly remembers setting it to silent mode, so how did it become on vibration mode?

Gabriel cast a cold glance at her.

And the gazes of others towards Sophia gradually turned into sympathy.

You see, during a meeting with the boss, it is absolutely prohibited to make any sound except for the speaker. Otherwise, you could be expelled from the meeting room, fined, or even fired.

Sophia smiled awkwardly and full of apologetic expression, then lowered her head to look at her notebook, pretending that nothing had happened.

After all, she has made similar mistakes overseas, and no one really cared about it.

Just a minor slip-up.

But why did everyone show such strange looks?

Even the speaker on the stage stopped talking.

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet.
