Chapter 193 Arrogant and Domineering

Madam Lancaster handed her two hair samples. "These are from Gabriel and Sam. You must keep them safe and make sure they are not swapped. I want to know the results as soon as possible, preferably today."
Tiffany was somewhat excited. Could it be that Madam Lancaster didn't believe the results from last time and wanted to double-check? What would Madam Lancaster do if the second confirmation also showed that the two had no blood relation? Her wish was to clarify whether Sam was Gabriel's biological son or not.
Tiffany was skeptical. She looked at the old woman who seemed like she wouldn't live much longer and didn't want to be bothered. Remembering the old woman's previous attitude towards her, she would always scold her before driving her away, never keeping her around to bother her. With this in mind, Tiffany felt that being bothered was better than being driven away. Being bothered meant there was hope of being acknowledged, right?
After the old woman's death, she could still enter the Lancaster family's door. But wouldn't it be better if she was acknowledged openly while the old woman was still alive? She wanted to ask the old woman why she suspected that Sam was not Gabriel's biological child.
Madam Lancaster closed her eyes, her expression saying, ‘You'd better not ask too many questions.” She was both arrogant and domineering, which dispelled Tiffany's skepticism.
"Don't worry, Grandmother. I have friends at the central hospital. I'll give them a heads up, and they will definitely provide the most accurate results as quickly as possible."
"Go quickly. If you can't handle it, don't show up again. I don't keep useless people around my grandson."
Tiffany thought: I will definitely handle it well, and do it beautifully. You old hag, I will make you look at me with new eyes and make you declare that you approve of me!
Tiffany left with the hair samples. After getting in the car, she pulled a short hair from her own head and the corner of her mouth lifted in a sinister arc.
In the hospital room, Madam Lancaster opened her eyes and took out her phone to call Sophia.
Now that everyone else had been sent away, Sophia brought Ethan and Emma to the hospital, and Caroline, who was free, also came along. She could help cover up if necessary.
"Great-grandmother!" The two little ones rushed up and surrounded Madam Lancaster’s bed.
Madam Lancaster, who was originally listless, perked up instantly when she saw the two little ones.
"Great-grandmother, hug." Madam Lancaster propped herself up and embraced the two children warmly.
She carefully examined the appearances of the two children with a smile. The more she looked at them, the more they looked like mini versions of Gabriel, with a hint of Sophia. Indeed, the children born to Gabriel and Sophia were wonderful.
Fortunately, these two children were not raised by bad people but were taken away by Sophia.
At this point, Madam Lancaster could understand everything Sophia had done. Although Sophia did not explain why she left Sam behind, it was undoubtedly the right thing to do. Otherwise, Sophia wouldn't have successfully hidden abroad for five years.
"Great-grandmother, you have to get better soon. I still want to play in the snow with you." Emma clung to Madam Lancaster’s arm and acted coquettishly.
Madam Lancaster laughed heartily: "Great-grandmother will get better soon."
Knowing that her great-grandchildren, who were thought to be dead, were now alive and well, and her daughter-in-law was also doing well, was more effective than any medicine. Madam Lancaster felt that her body had improved a lot.
"Ethan and Emma, do you miss your father?"
Upon hearing Madam Lancaster mention Gabriel, Sophia's heart skipped a beat, thinking that Madam Lancaster was going to tell Ethan and Emma the truth.
Ethan and Emma did not hide the disgust and disdain in their eyes, "We don't miss Daddy at all."
Madam Lancaster felt warm and amused, but also regretful. It would be nice if the family could be together.
Clearly, the two children didn't seem to want to recognize their father. To avoid revealing the truth and causing adverse consequences, Madam Lancaster didn't mention Gabriel again.
Sophia also breathed a sigh of relief.
Last night, Caroline told her that Ethan and Emma had actually seen Madam Lancaster several times and had been to the Lancaster family. Sophia was terrified.
This also allowed her to straighten out her thoughts. It was probably because the two treasures went to the Lancaster family to see Madam Lancaster, which aroused Madam Lancaster’s suspicion. Madam Lancaster then checked the identities of the two children and naturally found out that she was still alive.
Fortunately, every time Ethan and Emma went to the Lancaster family, Gabriel was not there.
But to avoid Gabriel's discovery, Sophia decided not to let them go to the Lancaster family in the future.
The two little ones were telling jokes to their great-grandmother, making her laugh heartily. Sophia was afraid that Madam Lancaster would laugh too hard.
"Ethan and Emma, Great-grandmother is still sick and can't laugh like this."
Emma obediently said, "I know; I won't tell Great-grandmother jokes anymore. I'll tell her about my heroic deeds."
Madam Lancaster’s eyes lit up, "Oh? What heroic deeds?"
Ethan quickly corrected her, "Just her mischievous deeds."
Emma glared at Ethan fiercely, then began to tell about how she defeated the school bully when they were in M country.
Madam Lancaster listened with interest, admiring Emma's bravery in her heart.
Little Emma was like her. She was brave and resourceful, not afraid to be bullied, brave to resist evil forces, and knew how to protect herself.
Little Ethan was like his grandfather, smart, wise, calm, and protective.
Little Sam seemed to have a bit of Gabriel's shadow.
Sophia didn't dare to stay too long. When it was about time, she let Caroline take the children away first, and she stayed with Madam Lancaster.
Madam Lancaster asked her to talk about what happened abroad and about the children. Sophia chose to talk about the interesting things, sharing the happy events but not the worries.
About ten minutes later, Gabriel had cleaned himself up and brought Sam over.
The little guy's eyes were red, and he clung to his great-grandmother's hand, refusing to let go.
"My sweet grandson, don't worry. Great-grandmother is fine." Her sweet grandson now had siblings, real ones, and a real mommy as well.
She looked at Sophia, really wanting to let her sweet grandson know that Sophia was his mommy.
However, considering his condition, it was not yet time to say it.
Madam Lancaster looked at Gabriel, then at Sophia, then at little Sam, and her mind began to work.
No matter what, she had to help Sophia and make Sam accept her as soon as possible.
Gabriel went out to take a call, and Sophia went to buy things for Madam Lancaster, leaving only Sam and Madam Lancaster in the sickroom.
"Sam, Great-grandmother wants to ask you a question."
Sam tilted his little head back, indicating "Go ahead."
"Do you like Tiffany, or your Aunt Kelly?"
Without hesitation, Sam would of course choose Aunt Kelly, but... the little guy was wavering.
He remembered what Ethan had said, “If you like someone, you should say it out loud. If you don't like them, you should say it as well. If you don't say it, others will never know, and they might even use it to hurt you or your friends.”
