Chapter 361 I Was Here on a Business Trip

Daisy was the only daughter of the Wolf family, and Daniel doted on her as if she were his own daughter.

Back then, when he was ill, the Watson Group also fell into crisis, and then Nicholas had a car accident. The Watson family almost couldn't hold on.

It was Aragorn who tightly held onto the marriage agreement with the Wolf family, which brought Daniel's help and revived the Watson family.

Now that the Watson family was thriving, he absolutely wouldn't allow Caroline to reappear and ruin the marriage between the two families.

"Aragorn, I have to return to the County Y tomorrow." Ashley came downstairs, her eyes red and full of grievances.

"Why so urgent? Paul hasn't been found yet," Gummidge said worriedly.

"I must go back. If I don't, that home will be taken over by someone else."

"Bastard!" Aragorn angrily slapped the sofa. "If Joseph dares to bring his mistress home, I'll make sure he pays for it."

Aragorn was so angry that his chest started to hurt.

"Aragorn, take care of yourself. Don't worry. I won't let that woman in." Ashley helped Aragorn calm down. "Everything the Thomas family has is given by the Watson family. I won't let Joseph give it all to that bitch!"

"But finding Paul will be up to you guys."

Gummidge quickly said, "Don't worry. I'll have Nicholas continue looking for him."

Daisy drove quickly to Stew Restaurant, looking furious, as if she was there to catch someone in the act.

Following her friend's instructions, she went to Nicholas' private room.

She wanted to barge in but held back, knocking on the door and only entering after getting a response.

"Nicholas..." The rest of Daisy's words got stuck in her throat.

Caroline wasn't there.

In the room were only Nicholas, Josie, Sharpe, and Charles.

Damn it! her friend didn't make it clear. She thought Nicholas and Caroline had brought Josie to eat at Stew.

She thought Nicholas and Caroline had reconciled and that they were going to reunite as a family.

Daisy felt a sense of relief.

"Nicholas, I heard you were eating at Stew, and since I was nearby, I decided to come over."

She plopped down next to Nicholas.

Nicholas frowned deeply, exuding a cold aura.

"Get out!"

Daisy's face changed slightly. "Nicholas, I..."

"Get out!"

"I haven't had dinner yet," Daisy said pitifully, wanting to stay and eat with Nicholas.

"Charles, throw her out!"

Charles stepped forward.

Daisy's face changed drastically, and she quickly signaled to Josie.

Josie was so scared she didn't dare to breathe. She didn't understand why Nicholas was suddenly so angry.

Was it because Daisy had come?

Receiving Daisy's signal, Josie was at a loss, trying to think of a way.

Charles went to pull Daisy.

Josie said softly, "Daddy, I'm full. I want to go home."

Daisy wanted to strangle Josie. She meant for Josie to plead for her so that she could stay and eat with Nicholas, but Josie wanted to go home instead.

Nicholas said, "OK, let's go home."

Nicholas carefully wiped Josie's mouth with a napkin, completely ignoring Daisy, and took Josie out.

Daisy followed them like a shadow.

When they got to the car, she tried to get in but was stopped by Charles.

Charles closed the car door and said expressionlessly, "Ms. Wolf, please leave on your own."

"I'm Nicholas' fiancée and Josie's mother. Why can't I get in the car and go home with them?" Daisy was on the verge of breaking down.

She had stayed with the Watson family to take care of his daughter, disregarding her reputation for Nicholas, yet he still treated her with such disdain.

She felt very unwilling.

"Ms. Wolf, I helped you last time, but I got punished by Mr. Waston. I won't help you this time or in the future."

"Charles, I'm sorry. I didn't expect you to get punished." Daisy's eyes quickly reddened, tears welling up, looking pitiful.

"Charles, hurry up," Sharpe urged.

Charles said no more to Daisy and quickly got into the passenger seat.

The car sped away, leaving Daisy standing there, her eyes filled with malice.

Before bed, Emma told Sophia about the weekend trip and handed her the iPad.

"Mommy, we want to go to this place. I heard there's a lot of good food."

Sophia thought for a moment and decided she could make time this weekend.

"OK, I'll book the hotel."

"No need, Mommy. I have this." Emma took out a VIP card for a chain hotel. "Sam gave this to me. He said with this card, we can stay for free at any of their hotels."

"Mommy, we can save money."

Sophia tapped Emma's nose gently and said, "Smartie."

On Saturday morning, Sophia packed a suitcase and took her three kids to the train station.

The trip was a bit far, and it wouldn't be safe to drive alone with three kids.

She had wanted to invite Caroline, who needed a break, but Caroline couldn't leave Lisa because the trip was two days and one night.

The train station was crowded, especially since it was the weekend.

To ensure the kids had a comfortable environment, Sophia bought first-class tickets.

The three kids stuck close to Sophia. After boarding, Emma quietly texted Gabriel.

Emma: [We're on the train.]

Gabriel: [OK.]

Gabriel usually traveled in business class, but this time, to avoid being noticed by Sophia, he chose a first-class seat next door to hide.

Sophia didn't notice. Last night, she informed Gabriel that she was taking the kids on a trip, and Gabriel replied only with an "OK."

An hour later, they arrived at their destination. Sophia took a taxi with the kids to the hotel to check in.

The staff took them to the top floor, and when they opened the suite door, Sophia was stunned.

The room was huge.

She thought, 'This must be the hotel's most luxurious suite, right?'

It had a jacuzzi, a great view, three rooms, and a large wine cabinet.

Thanks to Gabriel, Sophia could experience such a luxurious hotel suite in her lifetime.

After a quick tidy-up, Sophia took the kids to the restaurant for lunch.

"Daddy's over there." Emma pretended to be surprised and ran over, letting go of Sophia's hand.

Gabriel squatted down, arms open, waiting for Emma to run into his embrace.

"Mommy, come over here." Emma waved at Sophia.

Sophia was silent.

In a flash, she seemed to understand something.

The sudden trip, the VIP card, it all seemed like Gabriel had planned it.

With Emma by Gabriel's side, Sophia had no choice but to go over.

Though she was reluctant, she sat at the same table with Gabriel.

"I'm here on a business trip. I didn't expect you to bring the kids to the same place," Gabriel said, feeling a bit guilty, though he didn't show it.
