Chapter 356 Disfigurement

Noah was shooting a brawl on a cliff when a wire glitch sent her plummeting from a considerable altitude.

Now, her condition was unknown, and everyone on the internet was watching.

Fans, worried about her, had all crowded into the hospital, and reporters were also eager to get the first-hand news.

The hospital was completely surrounded.

When Harrison entered with the bodyguards, everyone was speculating about who Harrison might be.

"I recognize him; he's the general manager of the Lancaster Group. He was interviewed on the financial channel last time."

"Is he here to see Noah?"

"Maybe he's here for a medical appointment?"

"Coming for a medical appointment this late at night would mean the emergency room, but he doesn't look like he needs emergency care."

"Maybe he's here to visit a friend?"

"Perhaps he really is here for Noah."

Harrison smoothly made his way to the emergency room, where Noah's parents were already present.

"How is the situation now?" Harrison asked.

Noah's mother, Danielle , seeing Harrison, clung to his hand and cried as if she had seen a savior. "Harrison, Noah is my only daughter. If anything happens to her, I won't live."

"Mrs. Tuck, don't worry. Noah will be fine."

Noah's father, Adrian Tuck, also had red eyes. "Don't be so pessimistic. Noah is still being rescued."

His voice trembled as he spoke.

Harrison looked at the red light of the emergency room, his heart in knots.

Harrison comforted Danielle for a few moments and then saw Noah's manager and assistant anxiously standing to the side. He walked over to them.

"What exactly happened?"

The assistant was trembling and couldn't speak.

The manager took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

"Noah, committed to her craft, declined a stunt double for this scene despite my suggestion. All was well until the actor's push at the cliff-edge made her wire unexpectedly slacken.."

"To capture the realism of the fall, the platform was built over 20 feet high. Noah fell straight down, lost consciousness on the spot, and bled a lot."

Everyone was terrified at the scene, with Noah's blood continuously flowing out.

Harrison's heart sank, and his eyes turned sharp.

"Did you call the police?"

"Not yet."

"Call the police first."

The manager quickly took out her phone and went to the side to call the police.

Since the accident occurred, a multitude of inquiries have flooded in, leaving the manager barely managing to cope up until this moment.

At this moment, a few reporters sneaked in, carrying cameras and running towards them.

Seeing this, the manager looked around and found Harrison.

"Can you do me a favor?"

"What favor?"

"Get rid of those reporters."

"Okay."

Harrison raised his hand, and several tall and strong bodyguards went over and pushed the reporters out.

Half an hour later, the light in the emergency room went out, and the doctor came out with a serious expression.

"The patient has been revived, but the concussion is bad. She's off to the ICU for monitoring. Plus, her right cheek is cut up real bad; might scar.."

The manager was shocked. "A scar?"

She thought, 'Wouldn't that mean Noah's face is ruined?'

'For a beautiful actress, a ruined face would mean the end of her career.'

The manager's face turned pale, unable to accept this result.

Adrian and Danielle wiped their tears and breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as Noah was alive, what did a scar matter?

Noah was sent to the ICU, and the hospital did not allow family members inside. They could only look at her from outside.

Harrison looked at the lifeless Noah lying inside, and her cold and beautiful face flashed in his mind.

Half an hour later, Harrison took Adrian and Danielle home.

Noah's manager also announced Noah's condition.

By midnight, most of the reporters had left, but Noah's fans were still waiting outside.

Harrison returned to the hospital and saw the fans.

"Book a nearby hotel and have these fans go rest. Let them come back for news in the morning."

The bodyguard was shocked and replied, "Yes!"

An hour later, most of the fans had left.

Soon, a trending topic appeared online: [Mysterious wealthy person books hotel for Noah's fans.]

Caroline was brought to Harmony Gardens.

"Why did you bring me here?" Caroline frowned, feeling uneasy. She didn't know what Nicholas wanted to do.

"It's late. You can rest here tonight," Nicholas said coldly, then had Sharpe push him away.

Caroline was silent. 'Just like that?'

Caroline felt a sense of loss and relief at the same time.

The door closed, and Caroline was left in a completely quiet environment.

She looked around the house.

The furniture and appliances were all complete, the shoes in the shoe cabinet were brand new, and all the daily necessities were new as well. It looked like no one lived here, but there wasn't a speck of dust, indicating someone regularly cleaned it.

Caroline thought she should go back.

She put her hand on the doorknob but hesitated.

She thought, 'At this time, Sophie and the kids were probably asleep.'

'Should I go to the hospital?'

'Lisa was still in the ICU, and there was no place for me to stay there.'

Caroline suddenly realized she was homeless.

Her beautiful eyes took in everything around her, and a sense of loneliness crept into her heart.

Caroline took a shower, washing away all her fatigue. When she lay on the soft bed, she thought she wouldn't be able to sleep, but she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next morning, Sophia went to the police station with the complete video Ethan had found.

"Caroline was taken away last night?" Sophia asked anxiously, "Who took her?"

"Nicholas."

"Okay, thank you."

Sophia frowned and quickly called Caroline.

Caroline, still groggy, answered the phone.

"Caroline, where are you?"

"I'm sleeping."

"Where are you sleeping?"

"I'm at..." Caroline slowly woke up and sat up suddenly. "Sorry, Sophie, I didn't have time to tell you. I was bailed out last night."

"I know. I'm at the police station now."

"Sophie, don't worry. I'm fine."

"That Nicholas didn't do anything to you, did he?"

"No."

Sophia breathed a sigh of relief. "Come home tonight."

"Okay, got it."

After hanging up, Caroline let out a long breath. She looked at the time; it was still early. She wanted to sleep a bit more but couldn't.

Caroline washed up and prepared to change clothes and leave.

"You're up?"

Caroline, holding her phone, didn't notice someone in the living room. The sudden voice startled her.

She patted her chest and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"This is my house." Nicholas turned to look at her. "There's breakfast in the dining room. Eat before you go."

Caroline couldn't bring herself to refuse. When she met his gentle eyes, it was as if someone had grabbed her by the throat.
