Chapter 192 Tormenting Tiffany
"Of course, you can," Madam Lancaster said. "Let me tell you, we will all keep it from him. Let him know when the children grow up. By then, if the children don't want to acknowledge him, there's nothing he can do about it. That will serve him right."
Sophia didn't expect Madam Lancaster to agree so readily and to stand so firmly on her side. Her heart was instantly filled with warmth.
She hugged Madam Lancaster, her voice choked with emotion, "Thank you, Grandma. I really can't be without Ethan and Emma. And I've decided not to get married in this life. They won't have a stepfather."
Upon hearing that Sophia had decided never to marry, Madam Lancaster’s smile broadened, and a cunning glint flashed in her eyes.
That was good, if she didn't marry, there was a chance she could reenter the Lancaster family.
But could she live long enough to see Sophia return to the Lancaster family with her two children?
The door to the room was pushed open. Sophia wiped away her tears and finally whispered in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "I'll bring them to see you another day."
Madam Lancaster’s face was filled with a hearty smile.
She could finally meet her great-grandchildren in a justified manner.
Madam Lancaster was so happy that her spirit seemed to improve.
Tiffany walked in, carrying supplements and flowers, her face full of smiles, "Grandma, I've come to see you."
Madam Lancaster’s face instantly turned cold when she heard her voice. "What are you doing here? Do you want to come and cause me discomfort?"
Tiffany clenched her teeth in secret but endured it.
"How could I do that? I wish you live a happy life." She brought the supplements and flowers to Madam Lancaster, placing the flowers on the bedside table. "These are all top-quality supplements that I carefully selected. I've consulted the doctor, and you can eat them now."
"Betty." Madam Lancaster called Betty with a cold face. "Throw these things out. I don't have the good fortune to enjoy the things Miss Foster sends. I'm afraid I'll be poisoned even if I'm not sick."
"Grandma." Tiffany's face couldn't hold up anymore, and her eyes quickly reddened.
She kept trying to please her, but the old woman kept humiliating her.
Gabriel walked in.
"Grandma, Tiffany means well. If you don't like it, let Betty take it away."
Madam Lancaster snorted coldly, "What, do you want me uncomfortable as well?"
Gabriel fell silent.
After seeing Gabriel and Tiffany being put in their place together, Sophia lowered her head and chuckled secretly.
"I'm sorry, Grandma. If you don't like it, I won't send it next time," Tiffany said.
Madam Lancaster didn't want to bother with her any longer.
She had wanted to drive Tiffany away, but then she thought of the paternity test.
Madam Lancaster stopped paying attention to Tiffany, and she didn't drive her away either, which made Tiffany somewhat happy.
She wanted to take advantage of the old woman's illness to show off in front of Gabriel.
So, Tiffany started her performance. She served Madam Lancaster tea, poured her water, and even peeled apples. When Madam Lancaster complained of a headache, she squeezed Sophia out and massaged Madam.
Usually, Madam Lancaster would absolutely not let Tiffany get close to her. Today, however, she changed; her usual rejection was nowhere to be found. Although she still had a cold face, she did not reject Tiffany's attentiveness.
Tiffany felt something was off, but with Gabriel there, she didn't dare say anything.
"My legs are a bit sore. I need to get up and walk around," Madam Lancaster said, getting ready to get up.
Tiffany quickly stepped forward, "Grandma, if your legs are sore, I can massage them for you. The doctor said you can't get out of bed and walk around yet."
"You really do want to make me uncomfortable. I'm fine. Why won't you let me walk?"
"I'm not... Please lie down; I'll give you a massage."
Tiffany sneered inwardly. Was the old woman deliberately tormenting her?
It must be said, Tiffany had hit the nail on the head.
When Tiffany left, Madam Lancaster grabbed Sophia's hand and laughed, "Grandma helped you teach her a lesson. Come and watch her make a fool of herself everyday I’m here. It'll drive her mad."
Sophia chuckled.
"Thank you, Grandma."
"Tomorrow, I'll send them all away. You must bring the children to see me." Madam Lancaster pouted, acting like a child.
Sophia hugged Grandma, "I'll definitely bring them."
It was getting dark. Sophia had spent the entire day here, talking and entertaining Madam Lancaster, while Tiffany was running around. Compared to Sophia's treatment in front of Madam Lancaster, it was like night and day.
Gabriel was helpless about this. After Sophia and Tiffany left, Gabriel sat next to Grandma, helping her massage her legs.
"Grandma, Tifanny came specifically to see you. Weren't you a bit too harsh on her?"
When he saw Tiffany off, her aggrieved look made Gabriel feel that Grandma might have gone a bit too far.
Grandma wasn't a harsh person, but she was particularly difficult with Tiffany today.
"I didn't ask her to serve me, an old woman. She volunteered. If you think I'm being harsh on her, then don't let her come in front of me. Every time she comes, it gives me a headache." Madam Lancaster closed her eyes and pretended to sleep.
Gabriel felt helpless.
Tonight, Sophia picked up Sam, and Gabriel stayed in the hospital. Madam Lancaster woke up in pain in the middle of the night. Gabriel noticed immediately and asked the doctor for some painkillers, which allowed Madam Lancaster to sleep.
