Chapter 481 Daddy's Money Was All Ours

Sophia couldn't wrap her head around how Logan and Ella's beloved Patricia wasn't their daughter. They always seemed so selfish, so why were they so good to someone else's kid?

Patricia had always gotten everything she wanted, being the spoiled heiress of the Brown family.

Ruth was also confused. "What's up with Patricia?" she asked.

Sophia replied, "Colin said Patricia is the long-lost granddaughter of the Blackwood family."

Ruth's face showed concern. "Granddaughter?"

Something felt off, and Patricia's reactions only added to the mystery.

Sophia had been busy with all this. Once the Blackwoods returned to the country, she finally relaxed and felt exhausted. As soon as she got home, she crashed on the bed to catch up on sleep, putting aside the things she couldn't figure out.

When Gabriel came home from work, he didn't see Sophia. "Where's Sophie?" he asked a servant.

The servant shrugged, not knowing.

He saw the three kids on the carpet, assembling a robot. "Where's your mommy?"

Emma put a finger to her lips. "Mommy's sleeping."

Gabriel worried. 'Sophia hasn't had dinner yet. Is she that tired?' He went upstairs.

Sophia hadn't locked the door, so Gabriel quietly opened it and tiptoed inside. The room was dimly lit, with a cool breeze coming through the open window. Gabriel frowned, thinking she'd catch a cold, and closed the window before checking on her.

Sophia was sleeping soundly. He touched her forehead and sighed in relief. Watching her sleep, Gabriel's heart pounded. She seemed more beautiful than ever. He smiled tenderly and pulled the blanket up to her shoulders.

Not wanting to wake her, Gabriel left the room and told a servant, "Prepare some food for her when she wakes up."

The servant nodded. "Yes."

The kids knew Sophia was tired, so they didn't insist on sleeping with her that night. Gabriel set up a room for them as their base.

The room had three areas: Ethan's computer for coding, Sam's easel for painting, and Emma's live streaming setup. Each kid was busy with their favorite activities, not disturbing each other.

Sam was painting the current scene. He loved being with Emma and Ethan every day. Seeing Emma live streaming, Sam put down his paintbrush and grabbed his iPad.

Emma noticed the username "Dirty Mud" sending her gifts again. "Sam, stop sending me gifts."

Sam's "Dirty Mud" identity was already exposed. Ethan, being smart, had figured out Gabriel's online nickname "Money Daddy" and also that "Dirty Mud" was Sam. Sam knew the person he admired most online was Ethan.

Sam chuckled and sent more gifts. Emma said, "Daddy's money will run out. How will Daddy support us and Mommy then?"

Ethan chimed in, "Don't worry, Daddy's good at making money. The gifts I send will end up in your account anyway."

Emma's logic was spot on. "So, if Daddy's money is our money, then everything Daddy has is ours?"

Ethan was momentarily stunned.

Emma beamed, "Then I'm rich too! I can give Daddy's money to Mommy so she can buy lots of clothes and houses. She'll never have to worry about a place to live."

Ethan laughed, and Sam nodded in agreement.

Gabriel, who had just walked in, stayed silent, having overheard Emma plotting his assets.

Emma saw Gabriel and wasn't embarrassed. She smiled, "Daddy, you should send me gifts too."

Gabriel couldn't resist Emma's pleading and immediately gave in. If his assets were to be plotted, so be it; he couldn't bear to see Emma sad.

Gabriel logged into his account, and the long-absent wealthy user "Money Daddy" became the top fan on MilkSugar's list.

Sophia had a great sleep. She had a strange dream but couldn't remember it, only the lingering sadness in her heart.

Having skipped dinner, her stomach was empty. Sophia got up to find something to eat and headed to the kitchen.

The servant greeted her, "Ms. Kelly, you're awake. Mr. Lancaster asked us to prepare this soup for you."

'Gabriel?' Sophia nodded, feeling a bit of warmth in her heart, and the sadness from the dream faded.

Sophia drank the warm soup, and her stomach felt much better. The servant then brought out some food.

The kids were already asleep, and Gabriel was still busy in the study. After eating, Sophia went upstairs to check on the kids.

She ran into Gabriel afterward.

She looked at Gabriel and thought of the soup. Back when they were married, she was the one who instructed the servants to do these things. Gabriel was always busy and often forgot to eat, so she had the servants prepare soup for him every day. But Gabriel only drank it once and never again.

Now, Gabriel was the one doing all this.

Sophia thought about the past and the present, sighing at how easily satisfied she was. She had done so much before and was ignored by Gabriel, but now Gabriel did it once, and she felt so touched?

Seeing her expression change from gentle to resentful, Gabriel felt puzzled. 'Did I do something to upset her?'

Thinking back on the day, he had only gone into her room to close the window, cover her with a blanket, and instruct the servant to prepare food for her.

'Could it be that the servant prepared food she doesn't like?' Gabriel opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say a word, Sophia turned around. "It's late, Mr. Lancaster. You should go to bed early."

Gabriel was silent.

Because of this, Gabriel couldn't sleep half the night.

The next day, Gabriel had a meeting with Harrison and Alex to analyze the problem.

Harrison was silent.

Alex was silent.

The Blackwoods had rested for two days, and Fusion Dynamics Corporation officially announced the recruitment of trainees in the country.

Designers in the industry were excited.

Unlike before, when Fusion Dynamics Corporation only recruited one or two trainees, this time, they were expanding to recruit five.

Everyone in the department was buzzing with excitement, eager to apply for the selection process to study at Fusion Dynamics Corporation.
