Chapter 671 Three Slaps
Daisy just couldn't wrap her head around the fact that the guy from that night was Charles.
That was Nicholas's room, and he had the sobering soup spiked with aphrodisiac.
"How could it be Charles?!"
Charles pulled out a paternity test.
"This test shows a 99.99% match between Trevor and me."
"I don't buy it. It's fake. You guys are lying. Nicholas drank the sobering soup that night. You all planned this to trick me!"
Daisy kept lying to herself.
As long as she didn't admit it, they couldn't do anything to her.
"The sobering soup?" Nicholas's face turned dark.
Daisy felt a chill run down her spine.
"So, you put the aphrodisiac in that soup and had Josie bring it to me, knowing I wouldn't refuse."
Nicholas laid it all out.
"No, I didn't put the aphrodisiac in. I didn't." Daisy denied it, but her guilty look gave her away.
Sharpe chimed in angrily, "Because you drugged Mr. Watson, he had health issues during that time."
"Luckily, I got Mr. Watson out of there in time, or who knows what you would've done to him!"
Charles added, "After Sharpe took Mr. Watson away, I stayed behind to clean up and ran into you sneaking in. Then you know what happened."
In front of everyone, Daisy's dignity was shredded.
Her dirty deeds were out in the open.
Everyone gasped.
Caroline was hearing the whole story for the first time too.
No wonder Daisy kept saying Trevor was Nicholas's kid.
She had doubted if Nicholas had really been with Daisy, especially since Daisy had stayed at the Watson Mansion pretending to take care of Josie during the six years she and Nicholas were apart.
But she never thought Daisy would stoop so low.
Caroline thought, 'Does this mean Nicholas never had a thing with Daisy all these years?'
Caroline felt a bit shaken but quickly pushed it down.
"We were all fooled by Daisy. She's so scheming."
"She was a rich heiress, yet she did such gross things."
"She's not a rich heiress anymore. Mr. Wolf just disowned her."
"If I were him, I wouldn't claim her either. It's shameful!"
"I'm so mad I was tricked by her!"
"But the kid is innocent. Adults' problems shouldn't be dumped on him."
Everyone was talking and cursing Daisy for causing trouble for Nicholas.
Their anger quickly turned towards Daisy.
Listening to the curses, Daisy bit her lower lip so hard it bled without her noticing.
She finally realized the guy that night wasn't Nicholas. No matter how much she lied to herself, Charles's presence would always remind her she had slept with the man she hated most, Charles!
Daisy clenched her hands so tight her whole body shook.
Suddenly, she saw Caroline standing next to Nicholas. No matter what expression Caroline had, to Daisy, it looked like she was gloating. In an instant, her jealousy and anger flared up.
She suddenly burst into laughter, a creepy laugh that made everyone's skin crawl.
"It doesn't matter if Trevor isn't Nicholas's. Caroline, you'll never be with Nicholas."
Seeing Daisy target Caroline, Daniel quickly stepped in front of her to protect her.
Daisy kept going, "Remember the danger you faced in Country Y? That was Aragorn who paid those people to kill you."
"Because you got in the way of Nicholas's marriage to the Wolfs, because you brought bad luck to Nicholas, you brought bad luck to the Watsons. After Nicholas got with you, Aragorn got seriously ill, the Watson Group faced a crisis, and Nicholas had a car accident and broke his leg."
"Nicholas's father wants you dead. Do you still dare to marry Nicholas?"
Daisy's eyes were bloodshot as she stared at Caroline. After saying this, she laughed again, like she could already see Caroline and Nicholas in pain, loving each other but unable to be together.
Caroline's pupils narrowed, and she clutched her clothes tightly, recalling the danger from that time, feeling a chill all over her body.
If it weren't for Charles and Nicholas, she might be dead by now.
Back then, she suspected Daisy but had no proof.
Now she knew the person who wanted her dead was Aragorn!
"What did you say?" Daniel rushed forward and grabbed Daisy's wrist, his face dark as he asked, "Tell me clearly, what happened to Caroline in Country Y? Was it really Aragorn?"
Daisy sneered, "Uncle, you should know Aragorn well. He'd do anything for profit. To stop Caroline from affecting my marriage to Nicholas, he arranged for people to stage a home invasion while Caroline was abroad, intending to kill her in the chaos."
"Unfortunately, Nicholas followed her." Daisy's tone was full of regret as she said this.
Daniel tightened his grip on Daisy's hand, causing her wrist to hurt. But when she met Daniel's furious eyes, she felt no pain at all.
Daisy thought, 'Daniel certainly won't let Caroline be with Nicholas anymore.'
Seeing Daisy's smug face, Caroline slowly walked over.
"Do you think this will separate Nicholas and me?"
Caroline sneered, "You've really gone to great lengths to split us up."
Noticing Caroline's indifferent attitude, Daisy was stunned.
Caroline raised her hand and slapped Daisy hard.
"This slap is for all the kind-hearted people here who were deceived by you."
Everyone felt a sense of relief. The moment they learned the truth, they wanted to do this, but the bodyguards stopped them, so they could only curse.
Caroline slapped Daisy again.
"This slap is for your slander and defamation of Nicholas and me."
Caroline slapped Daisy again.
"This slap is for your poor child. Since he was born, you haven't fulfilled a single day of your duty as a mother. When he was sick, you used him to manipulate public opinion."
After three slaps, Caroline's hand was completely numb, but she still felt it wasn't enough.
Daniel regained his composure and controlled his anger. He let go of Daisy and looked at Caroline with concern.
"Did it hurt?"
Caroline shook her head.
Someone in the crowd shouted, "Well done, Miss Clark! Slap her a few more times for us. Daisy is truly despicable."
Caroline looked at Daisy as if she were nothing.
Hitting her more would just be a waste of time.
