Chapter 593 Saw the Birthmark

"Or what?" Lucy sneered at Sophia, her voice dripping with disdain.

Lucy knew all the big shots in City B, and Sophia was a new face to her.

Seeing how chummy Sophia was with Caroline, Lucy figured Sophia was just as much of a nobody as Caroline, maybe even a total loser.

Lucy thought, 'Sophia's all talk, no action.'

No one here would risk pissing off the Doolittles to help a nobody like Sophia.

Tonight, Lucy's mission was to humiliate Caroline, make her look like a fool in front of Nicholas.

Sophia glanced around and saw Nicholas taking off his coat. She grabbed it and wrapped it around Caroline, then snagged two glasses of red wine from a nearby table.

Without a second thought, Sophia threw both glasses of wine right in Lucy's face, splashing some onto Marshall and Ben too.

"Or I'll pay you back double!" Sophia declared, her voice strong and unwavering.

Lucy screamed, "How dare you splash me?"

She looked around, ready to retaliate.

Nicholas and Gabriel exchanged a look with Sharpe and Alex.

Sharpe and Alex got the message. Any wine Lucy tried to grab, they snatched first and splashed it right back on her.

The room erupted into chaos, Lucy's screams echoing everywhere.

Linda and Diana were also in the crowd.

Linda had come with Daniel and was introducing Diana to more people. Michael, a member of the Wolfs, was there too, and his wife Mia wouldn't miss it for the world.

Most of the Wolfs were present tonight.

On the second floor, Jake and Gavin watched the scene unfold with great interest.

From their vantage point, they had a clear view of everything.

Seeing Sophia's bold move, Jake felt even more smitten.

Gavin whistled, "So this is the girl you're into. Not bad, but you've got some serious competition."

Jake coldly reminded him, "Isn't tonight your engagement party?"

"Yeah, it is."

Jake fell silent.

Only Gavin could stay so chill at his own engagement party while chaos erupted.

Gavin was engrossed in the scene when a sharp look shot his way, making him shiver.

"My fiancée is calling me. Gotta go."

Gavin quickly made his way to his fiancée, Rose Dixon, and put his arm around her shoulder, smiling.

"Honey, what do you need?"

"Can't you see someone's causing a scene? Are you blind?" Rose glared at him.

"Yeah, I'll handle it right away."

Gavin led Rose into the crowd.

"Mr. Doolittle, is your daughter..." Gavin pointed to his head, "mentally ill?"

Marshall's scalp tingled, and his face changed. He opened his mouth to say something, but Gavin had already called for someone.

"I don't think Mr. Doolittle wants to be at my engagement party. How about you leave?"

Marshall quickly explained, "No, Mr. Rodriguez, you misunderstand."

"Escort them out," Gavin said impatiently.

Bodyguards immediately came up and forcibly removed Marshall and Lucy, while Ben turned to Caroline and apologized, "I'm sorry."

He then obediently followed them out.

Rose approached.

"Miss Clark, come with me and we'll get you all ready."

Caroline nodded.

Sophia said, "I'll go with you."

They headed up to a room on the second floor. As they climbed the stairs, Sophia spotted Jake, who gave her a casual wave but didn't come over.

Rose pulled out a backless, pink-purple, diamond-studded dress.

"You and I have similar figures. You'll look absolutely killer in this."

Caroline looked at it, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "This is too fancy. Just give me something simple."

Rose pushed her into the bathroom.

"I think this one suits you. You've got a great figure. Hurry up and change. You still have to play the violin for me later."

Caroline had no choice but to change into the dress.

Sophia and Rose exchanged glances.

Rose extended her hand. "Hi, I'm Rose Dixon. You were really impressive just now. Caroline's lucky to have a friend like you."

Sophia smiled, her eyes curving as she shook hands with her.

"I'm Sophia Kelly. I'm lucky to have a friend like Caroline too."

"Can I join and be friends with you both?"

Sophia was silent.

Rose laughed, "I'm just kidding. Nice to meet you."

Soon, Caroline came out in the new dress.

Rose looked at her in amazement. "You look stunning. Let's go downstairs and play the violin. Let's blow their minds."

"Wait, we need to touch up your makeup," Sophia called out.

Rose pulled Caroline back.

After that, Rose helped her redo her hairstyle.

They walked down the stairs arm in arm, becoming a beautiful sight that drew everyone's gaze. The three beauties were stunning and impossible to look away from.

Paul said, "Caroline is so beautiful. I want a girlfriend as pretty as her."

Gabriel stared deeply at Sophia, his heart pounding.

The diamond-studded pink-purple dress totally showed off Caroline's charm. Her delicate back was beautifully shaped, and standing there with her violin, she was like a total knockout.

There was a small birthmark on her shoulder blade, but it didn't detract from her overall beauty. Instead, it added a touch of uniqueness, like a deliberate tattoo.

Mia's hands trembled.

That birthmark on Caroline's back, which hadn't been destroyed by the acid attack, was now exposed.

Mia mused, 'No! I can't let Linda see it.'

Mia quickly gave Diana a look, but Diana, looking in Paul's direction, didn't catch it.

Desperate, Mia went over herself, took Linda's hand, and led her away from Caroline.

"Linda, let's go over there and introduce Diana to some people."

Linda was happy to do that, so she followed Mia to the other side of the room.

Unfortunately, Mia took Linda away but not Daniel.

Daniel had just finished a phone call in the restroom. Hearing Caroline's violin, he smiled warmly and walked towards her, wanting to appreciate her performance up close.

Caroline stood on stage, eyes closed, lost in her music. Sophia and Colin sat nearby, listening, with Nicholas accompanying them.

Daniel approached from behind Caroline, his smile gradually freezing as he got closer.

'That birthmark!' Daniel exclaimed in his mind.

Daniel rubbed his eyes and stepped forward even closer.

Under the lights, Caroline seemed to glow, and the birthmark on her back became even more distinct.

Daniel saw the birthmark clearly, identical to the one on his daughter's back.
