Chapter 75 Dog and Cat

Sam used sign language, "Aunt Kelly, didn't you eat either?"

Sophia smiled, "I'll eat later when I go back."

If she ate now, Sam would have to wait longer, and she couldn't bear that.

Sam expressed, "It's not good to be hungry, you'll get sick just like Sam."

Sophia was touched by Sam's words and gently touched his head.

"Can Aunt eat the leftovers then?"

Sam replied, "That's what I ate."

"It's okay, Aunt doesn't mind, and wasting food is shameful, it's best to finish it," Sophia said as she picked up the lunchbox and started eating, without minding that it was Sam's leftovers.

Previously, Ethan and Emma would also leave food, and she would finish it. Sam was also her son, so how could she possibly mind?

Watching their loving interaction, Gabriel felt a strange sensation in his heart.

Alex arrived with a lunchbox, greeted Sophia when he saw her, and then left after putting down the lunchbox.

The meal Gabriel brought in was meant for two people, and what Sophia ate was only enough to fill her stomach, not to satisfy her hunger.
He handed her the portion that was originally for Sam.

Sophia looked at it.

"I won't eat it." She had already filled her stomach a bit now, and she would eat more later.

She didn't want to eat Gabriel's food.

This woman would rather go hungry than eat his food!

If she doesn't want to eat, so be it.

Gabriel placed the bowl on the table.

Due to his annoyance, he unintentionally showed his emotions when placing it, and a loud "bang" echoed in the ward.

Sam's confused little eyes shifted between the two.

Daddy is angry with Aunt Kelly?

Why?

Aunt Kelly is so nice, but Daddy seems to have a problem with her.

Did something happen between Daddy and Aunt Kelly?

Sam's little mind was too innocent to understand complicated things.

If it were Ethan, he would quickly get it.

Suddenly, he felt so silly.

Seeing Sam lost in thought, Sophia remembered the skipping rope Emma used to play with.

She looked around but couldn't find it, so she ran out of the ward and asked the nurse for one.

"Sam, let me teach you how to play with the skipping rope."

Sam looked at her in confusion.

Sophia flipped the rope between her thumbs and pinkies, then placed it in front of Sam.

"You use your thumb and index finger to hook it from here to here."

Sam hesitated for a few seconds, then extended his hand and followed her instructions.

Seeing that he successfully manipulated the rope, Sam widened his eyes in curiosity and instantly became interested.

Sophia patiently taught him, and after Sam tried to flip the rope twice but failed, he felt a little discouraged.

Sophia comforted him and cheered him on.

Gabriel ate his meal while observing the joyful play between the mother and son.

When he saw the sparkles in Sam's eyes, an indescribable feeling stirred within him.

The smile on his face suddenly disappeared as he paused in the middle of eating.

Since Sam's autism, he hadn't seen him this happy before.

It seems that Sophia is quite skilled at taking care of children.

Gabriel suddenly thought of something and furrowed his eyebrows slightly.

Since she loves the child so much, why did she fake her death and go abroad without even taking the child?

If she hadn't faked her death, once she recovered, they could have gotten divorced and he could have ensured she had a comfortable life for the rest of her days.

He could have even allowed her to stay with the child and watch them grow up.

But instead, she had already prepared a fake diagnosis of depression.

It seemed like she wanted to evoke sympathy and refuse the divorce.

Then, she faked her death, causing him guilt and sleepless nights.

Thinking about all this, Gabriel became angry once again.

Sophia is a woman full of deceit, and who knows if her display of affection for Sam is also a charade.

Unaware of the cold gaze behind her, Sophia ignored it and focused on playing with Sam.

Tiffany stood at the entrance, emotionless, as she observed the scene inside.

From her perspective, Sam and Sophia were happily playing together, while Gabriel watched them adoringly with his head tilted to the side.

They appeared to be a warm and happy family of three.

Unconsciously, Tiffany's sharp nails dug into her flesh, but she remained unaware, her once beautiful face gradually turning sinister.

Suddenly, Sam turned his head and his joyful expression met Tiffany's chilling gaze.

The stars in his eyes vanished as if scared away, and he dropped the rope he was holding.

Sophia looked puzzled and asked, "What's wrong? Don't you want to play anymore?"

Tiffany walked in with a slight smile.

"Sam, Auntie is here to see you."

Carrying a basket of fruits, she wore a pristine white dress, with a luxurious fur coat draped over it, giving her a pure and elegant appearance.

Gabriel glanced at the fruits on the table, not understanding the meaning behind them, and then looked at Tiffany.

Sam couldn't eat those fruits for now.

"Gabriel, I'll stay tonight to keep Sam company," Tiffany said, attempting to sit beside Gabriel.

Gabriel responded calmly, "No need, I'll stay."

Tiffany pouted but tried to insist.

At this moment, Sophia interjected, "If she stays, then I'll stay too."

What is this woman trying to do?

Tiffany glared at Sophia; her eyes filled with hostility.

"I am Gabriel's fiancée, and I will be Sam's mother in the future. So, Miss Kelly, who are you to Sam?"

Does she dare claim to be Sam's mother?

If she dares, she will definitely make Sophia the sole cause of Sam's worsening condition!

Sophia didn't miss the calculated look in Tiffany's eyes.

She smiled subtly, showing no weakness. "As an unofficial stepmother with no status, I'm afraid you don't have the right to be by Sam's side."

She intentionally emphasized the phrase "no status".

Sure enough, Tiffany felt like her heart had been stabbed, unable to vomit even if she wanted to.

"Miss Kelly, are you jealous? Do you still like Gabriel?"

"Ugh."

Sophia couldn't help but curse, "I wouldn't even like him if he were a dog! No! Comparing him to a dog would be an insult to dogs."

Gabriel, who was inexplicably scolded, immediately had a darkened face, like the bottom of a pot.

"That's enough."

He glared at Sophia angrily, "Sam needs rest, if you want to argue, go outside."

Sophia saw that it was about time and didn't want to deal with this pair of lovers anymore, so she turned around and kissed Sam on the head.

"Be good, Auntie will come again tomorrow."

Sam didn't dare to react, just stayed there blankly.

A pang of pain filled Sophia's heart as she slowly moved away with her empty lunchbox.

After getting in the taxi, Sophia messaged her lawyer.

"Can't we sue now?"

After a while, the lawyer replied, "Currently, the evidence you provided is not enough to prove that the man is abusing the child. At most, you can accuse him of not taking good care of the child. However, your chances of winning are not significant unless you can capture the man in the act of abuse."

Sophia wearily put down her phone.
