Chapter 130 The Scumbag, It's You

This was the first time Sophia encountered such a situation where someone was trying to persuade her to drink. She had no experience and didn't know how to gracefully refuse. Even though she could hold her liquor, she couldn't handle this.

Seeing that she hadn't finished her drink, the other person became unhappy, and their expression immediately turned cold.

Manager Chuck quickly intervened, first blaming Sophia, "Kelly, you're really making Mr. Tuck lose face. Come, Mr. Tuck, I'll toast you a drink as an apology on behalf of Kelly."

Mr. Tuck did give Manager Chuck face.

After a while, Manager Chuck stood up and wanted to switch places with Sophia.

"Kelly, Mr. Tuck is quite interested in design and wants to chat with you more. Come sit over here."

Sophia didn't want to. Her head was already spinning, and she couldn't drink anymore. She had to leave.

However, Manager Chuck didn't give her a chance. He pulled her up and pushed her into the seat next to Mr. Tuck.

She almost tripped, but Mr. Tuck reached out and steadied her just in time.

A hand brushed against her waist, causing Sophia to tense up. She discreetly pushed away that hand, pretending that he had touched her waist only to support her.

"Miss Kelly, not only are your clothing designs beautiful, but you are also beautiful yourself. I believe that with someone as attractive as you designing for Flora, we will create even better clothes in the future," Mr. Tuck said, interrupted by a belch that emanated a strong alcoholic stench, almost making Sophia feel sick.

The hand that she pushed away rested on the back of her chair, making Sophia feel very uncomfortable. However, she maintained a polite smile that hid her unease.

"Mr. Tuck is too kind."

"I truly like you. You are incredibly talented. I believe that our two families will have a pleasant cooperation in the future."

That hand then landed on her shoulder and gently squeezed before slowly sliding down.

This time, could she still consider it as his goodwill?

Sophia's gaze turned cold. She picked up the glass in front of her and splashed it onto Mr. Tuck's fat face. As she stood up, the sudden movement made her feel lightheaded for a moment, so she steadied herself with her other hand on the table, her face darkening.

"Mr. Tuck seems to be drunk. Let me help him sober up."

"Sophia!" Manager Chuck was momentarily stunned by the incident. Once he regained his senses, he quickly pulled Sophia away and used tissues to wipe Mr. Tuck's face.

Mr. Tuck's face trembled with anger as he pointed at Sophia.

"You, you, you..."

"You, with your obesity, aren't you afraid of developing hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia and suddenly dropping dead at any moment? Instead of that, you're only concerned about taking advantage of others. It serves you right that you can't even speak properly."

In the face of this salty response, Mr. Tuck's complexion turned extremely unpleasant.

Zhu'shu, Sophia absolutely wouldn't tolerate it.

She's just a designer, not here to put up with customers taking advantage to secure orders.

"Sophia, apologize to Mr. Tuck immediately, you ruined the collaboration with Ocean Blue. You're out of the company tomorrow!" Manager Chuck shouted, trying to intimidate Sophia. His words were full of threats.

She had already been scolded in the office today and didn't respond at the time because she wasn't feeling well. But now, how could she endure it? What's wrong with Manager Chuck? He's not even her direct boss.

Sophia sneered, "Ha, if your marketing department couldn't secure the collaboration, you would have the members from our design department accompany them. Manager Chuck, if this reaches Mr. Lancaster, do you think he would blame it on the design department or your incompetent marketing department?"

She glanced at her watch and saw that it was already 8 p.m. She didn't have time to argue with them anymore, so she grabbed her bag and prepared to leave, but Mr. Tuck grabbed her.

"You're not leaving like this," he said.

"So what do you want?" Sophia wanted to strangle this fat pig.

Mr. Tuck felt quite satisfied, thinking that he had intimidated this woman. He gave Manager Chuck a signal. Having dealt with Mr. Chuck many times before, Manager Chuck understood instantly and quickly brought three glasses filled with liquor.

"Drink these three glasses and I'll let you leave."

Sophia replied, "Sure."

So straightforward?

Manager Chuck had a foreboding feeling.

Kathy seemed stunned on the surface but was actually enjoying the show, feeling excited inside.

Sophia was in trouble!

She offended Mr. Tuck and Manager Chuck. How could Sophia continue to survive in the company?

Not only was there a great spectacle now, but there would also be one tomorrow.

Sophia said, "Let go of me first."

Mr. Tuck thought he had suppressed Sophia and smugly let go of her hand.

In the next second, Sophia's movements were swift and fierce. She took a glass and splashed it over Mr. Tuck's face, one after another, all three glasses drenched him. Even Manager Chuck, who was standing by, got splashed a bit.

The private room fell silent for several seconds.

Sophia had already reached the door.

"Stop her!"

Mr. Tuck shouted, and a man sitting near the door rushed over to block her. Sophia kicked him, causing him to writhe in pain while clutching the area where he was kicked.

Sophia opened the door and walked out.

She was filled with anger now, and with the catalyst of alcohol, this anger couldn't be extinguished easily.

She walked unsteadily, her face red from either anger or alcohol. Swinging her bag back and forth, Gabriel saw her like this and furrowed his brows, quickly striding over and grabbing her arm.

Sophia retaliated by swinging her arm to break free.

Sophia swung her bag and cursed, "You pig-headed scum! Trying to take advantage of me, I'll smash you to death! So you don't harm anyone else. Smash you to death..."

"Sophia!" Gabriel angrily grabbed Sophia's hand as she was hitting people. In the end, her bag hit his forehead, and the metal buckle immediately caused a small bruise to appear.

Sophia recognized Gabriel and snorted lightly, "You jerk, it's you."

Gabriel's face instantly turned dark.

She shrugged off Gabriel's grip and continued walking forward.

Manager Chuck and the others finally caught up after reacting to the situation.

"Sophia, stop right there!" Manager Chuck roared, chasing after Sophia.

Sophia dodged. She happened to reach the staircase and, in order to avoid Manager Chuck's reaching hand, she moved too forcefully and lost her balance.

"Ah..." She screamed, her dazed mind suddenly cleared. Seeing that she was about to fall, she flailed her arms and someone managed to grab hold of them. The next moment, she was pulled back, and then she collided with a solid wall.

Sophia's heart pounded in fear.

Manager Chuck saw the person who intervened and was also petrified in place.

Gabriel's cold handsome face, coupled with the chilling aura emanating from his entire body, sent shivers down one's spine. Manager Chuck thought, Did Mr. Lancaster not see me just now? Is it still possible to pretend that I haven't appeared yet?

"Manager Chuck."

A cold voice echoed, causing Manager Chuck to stop in his tracks, feigning an ingratiating smile.

"Mr. Lancaster, you're having a meal here too?"

Sophia, still trembling from the fright, regained her senses and realized that Gabriel had saved her. With a complex expression, she pushed him away.

Gabriel turned to look at Manager Chuck, standing in a position that conveniently blocked Sophia behind him. His scrutinizing gaze seemed to see right through Manager Chuck.

"What's going on?"
