Chapter 83 She's Going to be Exposed with Ethan
"Hello, Great-Grandma," Ethan also stepped forward to greet Great-Grandma.
Great-Grandma looked very kind and gentle.
"Good, good, good."
This little boy is also very handsome, thick eyebrows, big eyes, so handsome even at such a young age, he will definitely be amazing when he grows up.
The three little cuties stood in a row, each with their own adorable characteristics.
Madam looked at them and her eyes became moist.
"What's wrong, Great-Grandma?" Emma asked in concern.
"Great-Grandma is just very happy. You are all good children. It's great that Sam can be friends with you."
Actually, Madam thought about Sophia and the other two children.
The doctor said they were a boy and a girl.
If they were still alive, they would be around this age now.
"Madam, it's cold outside. Let's get the children inside," Betty reminded.
Just as Madam turned around, she suddenly lost her balance.
Ethan and Emma instinctively tried to help, but Betty quickly caught Madam.
Madam also saw the actions of the two children and her wrinkled face filled with smiles.
Inside the house, the heating was on, and it was warm. Madam held one of them with one hand.
"What are your names?" Madam asked gently.
Sam helped Betty busy herself by bringing out snacks and fruits.
"I'm Ethan."
"I'm Emma."
The two little ones were very well-behaved, and the nervousness in their hearts slowly disappeared after seeing the kind Great-Grandma.
"Ethan, Emma, such nice names. You both look like treasures at home," Madam smiled and squinted her eyes.
"Where are your mommy and daddy?"
Ethan and Emma had already agreed on how to answer.
Since Mommy didn't recognize Sam as their brother, there must be a reason, so they had to cooperate with Mommy and not let Great-Grandma know.
"My mommy's name is Scarlett Kelly."
"......Scarlett Kelly."
As soon as Madam heard the name "Kelly," she thought of Sophia, and then hearing the name "Scarlett," a hint of disappointment flashed through her heart.
She asked again, "What about Daddy?"
"Daddy's name is Henry Lancaster."
This name is also very strange.
"Great-Grandma, I have something to tell you," Emma mysteriously approached Mrs. Lancaster.
Mrs. Lancaster's eyes brightened.
"Oh? What is it?"
"We are not going to the same kindergarten as Sam. Can Sam transfer to our kindergarten?"
Mrs. Lancaster looked at the two little ones in confusion.
"Aren't you classmates?"
"No, we met Sam at the children's playground," Ethan immediately cleared up Madam's doubts.
"Great-Grandma, Sam is all alone at Elita Kindergarten. It's too lonely. If he transfers to our kindergarten, I'm sure the three of us can play together now, Sam will be very happy," Emma said, cuddling into Madam's arms.
An indescribable feeling made Madam not resist the closeness of the two children, she even liked it very much, feeling her heart melting because of Emma.
She held Emma in her arms, almost calling her "my precious sweetheart grandchild."
Just then, Sam came over with a pile of snacks and casually dropped them on the sofa.
He then pulled Ethan and Emma, signaling them to eat the snacks.
Emma's eyes lit up at the sight of so many delicious snacks but, with good manners, she asked, "Can I eat them?"
"You can eat them. Sam prepared them specially for you," Madam said, growing fond of these adorable little ones.
Their parents must be kind and cultured people to have raised such cute and sensible children.
Mrs. Lancaster believed that Ethan and Emma simply wanted to play with Sam more often, which was why they suggested having Sam transferred to their kindergarten.
She didn't pay much attention to such childish thoughts and didn't dwell on this topic further.
Sam brought out all the high-tech toys his dad had bought for him.
Ethan and Emma were quickly drawn to these snacks and toys.
Emma's inner foodie awakened, and she stuffed her mouth with snacks, while Ethan focused on tinkering with the high-tech toys.
Sam was busy, sometimes coming over to feed snacks to Emma, and then going to help Ethan figure out the toys.
He hadn't played with these toys himself, so he wasn't very skilled with them.
Little did he know, Ethan quickly mastered them after just one look at the user manual!
Sam stared wide-eyed in admiration.
Ethan felt proud.
He had a photographic memory, and these toys were a piece of cake for him, not much of a challenge.
Then Sam had an idea!
He still had a huge robot that hadn't been assembled yet.
So, he grabbed Ethan and went upstairs to assemble the robot.
Emma wasn't interested in the robot, so she stayed downstairs with Mrs. Lancaster, amusing her and making her laugh.
Betty stood nearby, unable to hold back tears of joy.
Ever since the late Mrs. passed away, Madam had never been this happy.
This was the true joy of having grandchildren, of family harmony.
Unfortunately, these two adorable little ones were not descendants of the Lancaster family.
Come to think of it, she found these two children increasingly familiar-looking.
Suddenly, there was a commotion outside, followed by the voice of a servant saying, "Young master, you're back."
Emma, also hearing the commotion, froze and her face changed.
Oh no, her troublesome father was back! She and Ethan were about to be exposed!
Emma looked around, unable to find a hiding place. Thinking quickly, she grabbed Betty's hand.
"Grandma, I want to go to the bathroom."
Betty had reached the age of being a grandmother, and Sam has always called her that, so Emma followed suit.
"Grandma will take you there."
Betty held Emma's hand and headed towards the bathroom.
Walking along, Gabriel happened to cross paths with someone just entering.
When Gabriel entered, all he saw was a small figure with two cute pigtails.
He was momentarily taken aback, somewhat surprised.
"Is there a guest at home?"
Or perhaps a young guest.
Mrs. Lancaster had a noticeable joyful expression on her face, something Gabriel rarely witnessed in his grandmother, and it lifted his own spirits.
"Sam brought two friends home to play. The two children are clever and adorable, just the kind Sam enjoys playing with."
Gabriel's excitement grew, suddenly developing a great interest in the two children who could play with his son.
He had only come back to retrieve some documents temporarily, not expecting such a pleasant surprise.
He no longer felt the urgency to grab the files, so he decided to sit down and meet them before leaving.
Madam couldn't stop praising the two children, piquing Gabriel's curiosity even more.
Meanwhile, Emma had sneaked off to the bathroom and quickly contacted Ethan upstairs using her phone watch.
The two little darlings immediately felt threatened, causing Ethan to set aside the accessories in his hands and say to Sam, "Your dad is back."
Sam expressed his joy, saying, "I'll take you to meet my dad."
However, Ethan refused and shook his head, saying, "Emma and I are scared."
Sam tilted his head in confusion, wanting to tell Ethan that his dad is good and would definitely like them.
But then he realized that Ethan and Emma had never had a dad since they were little, and their own dad always acted stern in front of outsiders, which might scare them.
Since they were unwilling, Sam naturally had to go along, so he let Ethan stay in his room while he went down to meet his dad.
