Chapter 215 With Another Man
Those two children didn't die at all!
They were taken abroad by Sophia!
Tiffany gritted her teeth and said, "Go and check immediately! See if Sophia has been with any other men abroad, and whether those two children were born from her and another man."
"Understood."
If Sophia had children with another man abroad, she wouldn't need to be cautious anymore. She could reveal this news to Gabriel, and Gabriel would certainly not want a woman like Sophia anymore.
But if those two children were still alive... Sam was already the biggest stumbling block on her path to becoming Mrs. Lancaster. If there were two more children, it would be like having three huge, towering blocks blocking her path.
Tiffany felt a headache coming on, and she hoped more that Sophia had had two children with someone else.
As Christmas approached, many people in City B were returning home for the holidays. However, the streets were still bustling with people buying decorations and decorating Christmas trees. The holiday spirit in the air was almost palpable.
He had grown up in M country and this was his first time experiencing Christmas in Z country. The Christmas decorations around him filled him with a sense of wonder.
Unfortunately, he had to return to M country with his grandmother tomorrow and wouldn't be able to stay here for the holidays. Otherwise, he could have experienced the atmosphere of Christmas even more.
Following the navigation, he arrived at the Blue End community, where Caroline was already waiting downstairs.
"Park the car over there." Caroline directed Colin to park the car.
Colin parked the car and got out, asking, "Where's Sophia?"
Caroline chuckled, "Now all you think about is Sophia."
Finally, she sighed.
Colin smiled gently, "I hit it off with Sophia right away. She's like a sister to me. You know I don't have a sister, and I'd really like to have one."
"OK, I understand."
Colin was so serious that she really couldn't continue to tease him.
If Colin really liked Sophia, Caroline would be quite happy to see them together.
Colin became a top psychologist at such a young age; he was handsome, gentlemanly, and had a great personality. He was the perfect man.
"Sophia is preparing a feast for you; she asked me to come down and pick you up," Caroline explained.
"A feast? I'm looking forward to it."
Emma, figuring it was about time, said goodbye to everyone and exited the live streaming room, only to receive a message from the platform company.
"Ethan." Emma quickly called Ethan.
The platform company wanted to hold an offline meetup event for game streamers and invited her to participate.
At the event, the streamers could have a friendly competition.
Emma was about to refuse without even thinking, but then she hesitated when she saw what was written later.
The platform company said that this offline meetup event also invited Kyi, a member of the esports team that had won the championship twice, who was also Emma's favorite player.
Emma couldn’t refuse an opportunity to meet her idol.
Ethan understood. Just like when he found out his idol was going to the U.S., he did everything he could to see his idol.
"Ethan, I want to go." Emma looked at her brother pitifully.
Sam joined in and asked, "Go where?"
"An offline meetup event; I can see Kyi there."
Because Emma liked games, Sam also knew a lot about the gaming world, and he knew about this Kyi, who was very good at playing games.
"Then let's go. We'll disguise ourselves so we won't be discovered."
Ethan would happily help his sister meet her idol.
He would prepare everything, so that the bad guy daddy wouldn't find out, and Mommy wouldn't worry.
The three treasures heard the noise outside and knew that the guest had arrived.
Three children suddenly appeared before him, and Colin, standing at the entrance, was stunned for a moment.
"Hello, Uncle," Ethan and Emma greeted Colin politely, with Sam gesturing between them.
"Hello." Colin felt a bit awkward, as he had brought only one gift despite the presence of so many children.
"Uncle, come in and sit down," urged Emma, who took an immediate liking to the handsome visitor and was the first to walk over.
She took Colin's hand and led him to the couch.
Ethan went to pour water for Colin, while Sam handled the fruit.
The three children each played their part in entertaining the guest, a ritual they seemed to have perfected through countless repetitions.
"Uncle, here's some water."
Sam offered him the fruit.
Colin was taken aback once again.
Sophia poked her head out of the kitchen, "Mr. Colin, please have a seat for a moment, dinner will be ready shortly."
The sizzle of cooking wafted from the kitchen, where Caroline had also gone to help.
"Do you want to watch TV, Uncle?" Emma asked politely.
"No need to watch TV for me, you kids go ahead," replied Colin, who found it easy to interact with all children, even those with autism.
He quickly grew comfortable and relaxed, no longer feeling embarrassed or constrained.
Even though there was only one gift, the three children were still visibly happy.
Dinner was served, and Emma, particularly fond of the uncle, insisted on sitting next to him.
Sophia prepared both Z-country dishes and M-country dishes.
"Uncle, this soup is really delicious and warms your stomach; you must try a bowl," Emma recommended the chicken soup vigorously.
Colin chuckled, "Okay, I'll give it a try."
The chicken soup wasn't greasy at all. Sophia had added some mushrooms and other gentle, nourishing ingredients, making it especially tasty. Drinking a sip of the hot soup was comforting in the cold depths of winter.
"Try this dish too; it's super tasty," suggested little foodie Emma.
Colin obliged and took a bite, and his pupils dilated in surprise as Sophia watched nervously.
"Is something wrong? Is it not good?" She asked.
Colin shook his head, chewed a few times, and swallowed. For the first time, he showed an emotional expression to food; he was touched.
"This is the first time I've tasted such delicious food."
Sophia blushed at such high praise, "It's just simple home cooking, Mr. Colin. If you like it, please have some more."
This wasn't an exaggeration from Colin.
He was a Z country native, and as someone with a Z-country stomach, his family struggled to adapt to M-country cuisine.
Since he didn’t have anyone at home skilled in cooking, they specifically hired a nanny who could prepare Z-country dishes.
Finding a nanny in M-country who could cook Z-country cuisine was tough, so they weren't very demanding about culinary skills.
Colin had eaten Z-country meals in M-country for decades without truly enjoying them. He ate just to fill his stomach. It was only now when he finally felt enjoyment in eating.
Colin's usually poised demeanor slightly crumbled as he started eating heartily.
The three children ate voraciously; their cheeks were puffed with pleasure.
Sam, now accustomed to this dining style, had his delicate palate nurtured into resilience.
Caroline watched in amazement, realizing that the dishes were nearly gone, and quickly began eating.
The M-country dishes made by Sophia remained untouched.
