Chapter 708 Rush Over
"I was just cornered that day and spoke without thinking. I can help you explain everything to Daniel," Daisy's eyes lit up.
Daisy thought, 'Yes, I still have leverage!'
Daisy, seizing the opportunity, grabbed Aragorn's pant leg.
Daisy quickly said, "Mr. Watson, I can explain to Daniel that it was a misunderstanding, that you didn't intend to harm Caroline. It was my mom, everything was arranged by her. As long as we pin it on my mom, Daniel will let the Watson Group go and reconcile with the Watson family."
Daisy added, "By then, the marriage between the two families will definitely be restored."
Daisy's words indeed reminded Aragorn.
He was about to kick Daisy but stopped. His eyes darted around. Despite his pale face, he looked shrewd.
Daniel couldn't find any evidence proving that Aragorn wanted to harm Caroline. Otherwise, with Daniel's love for Caroline, he would have already confronted him with the evidence.
If Daisy explained and pinned it on Mia, it might work.
Mia had done so many bad things; one more wouldn't make a difference, and Daniel would easily believe it.
Aragorn had already offended the Mitchell family. With the Mitchell family against him, no reputable family would want to marry into the Watson family. The two powerful families could join forces only by reconciling with the Wolf family.
Aragorn bent down and helped Daisy up.
Daisy immediately saw hope.
Aragorn had listened to her. Great, as long as she reconciled the two families, she would be a hero. By then, Aragorn would definitely support her unconditionally.
Thinking of this, Daisy felt smug again. She had finally found a way out.
Aragorn looked at her seriously, "Are you sure Daniel will believe you?"
"He will!" Daisy assured without hesitation, "My uncle would definitely prefer to believe it was my mom who wanted to harm Caroline, not you. After all, our families have such a good relationship."
Aragorn nodded, "Alright, then I'll trouble you with this."
"You're welcome, it's what I should do, but..." Daisy said.
"I know what you want. We'll talk after you handle this," Aragorn turned away, his eyes flickering.
Daisy could no longer be the future mistress of the Watson family.
He now needed to use the Wolf family to mend his relationship with Nicholas.
Since Caroline was Daniel's daughter, as long as Daniel reconciled with the Watson family, the marriage between the two families would still be valid. He would support Nicholas and Caroline for being together, giving him a chance to reconcile with Nicholas.
Unexpectedly, Daisy still had some use.
Daisy awkwardly glanced at Aragorn's back, "But Mr. Watson, can you lend me some money? I..."
She was really short of money now.
She had always been extravagant and never knew how to save. Since Daniel stopped supporting her family, she had no pocket money, and she had spent all her savings.
Aragorn didn't want to deal with her and even felt a bit disgusted. But he needed her to mend the relationship with the Wolf family, so he transferred her some money.
Daisy looked at the few thousand dollars transferred to her.
Daisy wondered, 'Was he treating me like a beggar?'
"There will be more once you get the job done," Aragorn deceived her.
Daisy gritted her teeth, "I will get it done."
Daisy left the hospital and saw Nicholas and Caroline rushing into the clinic.
She wanted to follow but remembered she had other things to do and held back.
Just wait, she would definitely separate Caroline and Nicholas again!
Daisy drove to the Wolf Group.
Daisy owned one percent of the Wolf Group's shares, which every Wolf family child received when they became adults. So, she could enter the Wolf Group as a shareholder.
She had been here several times before but never met Daniel. This time, Daniel was in a meeting, so Daisy waited outside the conference room.
She waited for half an hour. When Daniel came out, he saw her and his face immediately darkened.
Daniel asked, "What are you doing here?"
Daisy, with red eyes, cried out, "Uncle, are you really going to leave me to die?"
Daniel snorted, "In my heart, Michael no longer exists. As his daughter, you have nothing to do with me. If you want someone to take care of you, go find your father. Don't come to me."
Daniel spoke bluntly, not caring that employees who had just finished the meeting were around.
Daisy felt humiliated, "Uncle, I was talking nonsense that day. Mr. Watson didn't harm Caroline. It was my mom. She did it."
Daniel didn't believe a word Daisy said, but he felt a chill in his heart.
Daisy was selfish enough to frame her own mother!
"Call security," Daniel instructed his assistant.
The assistant went to make a call.
Daisy had a bad feeling.
"Uncle, I'm telling the truth," Daisy continued to explain, "You can ask my mom in prison."
Security arrived quickly.
Daniel coldly said, "Escort her out!"
Daisy's eyes widened and she shouted, "Uncle, you can't kick me out. I have shares in the company. I'm a shareholder. I can come and go freely. I can even work here."
Daniel said, "You reminded me."
Daisy asked, "What?"
Daniel stated, "Your one percent share has been diluted. The remaining shares, after a unanimous vote by all shareholders, have been taken away."
Daisy's eyes widened even more. She couldn't accept it.
Daisy shouted, "No, Uncle, you can't do this. The shares are rightfully mine."
"Security!" Daniel turned his back coldly.
The security guards immediately stepped forward and forcibly dragged Daisy away.
Daisy screamed and struggled all the way, looking very pathetic.
It was over. She had lost her last hope.
The road was wet after it rained. Daisy sat on the ground, her clothes dirty.
After a long time, she got up in a daze and returned to her car.
She cried her heart out.
Around five o'clock, Daisy drove back to the hospital, looking for Nicholas.
"Nicholas."
She saw Nicholas in a wheelchair from a distance.
Sharpe drove the car to the entrance. Nicholas stood up from the wheelchair, and Caroline helped him into the car.
They exchanged sweet glances.
Jealousy surged in Daisy's heart.
Daisy wondered, 'How could her Nicholas be so close to Caroline? She was the one engaged to Nicholas.'
A voice in Daisy's head screamed, 'Destroy them! If she couldn't have him, no one could. They should all die together.'
Daisy's face twisted more and more. Her foot moved from the brake to the gas pedal.
With one stomp, the car shot towards Nicholas and Caroline like an arrow.
