Chapter 341 Worried About Her
Tiffany burst open the door, narrowly avoiding a punch from Mason that almost hit her head. Fortunately, Tiffany dodged quickly.
She angrily shouted, "What do you want!"
Mason's face turned red, and the smell of alcohol instantly filled the air.
"Get out of the way, let me in." Mason pushed Tiffany aside and staggered inside.
Tiffany couldn't stop him. "This is my house; you're not welcome here, so get out," Tiffany demanded.
Mason turned around, glaring angrily at Tiffany. "I'm out of money. Give me some money quickly and this house; give it to me now."
Money again!
Mason was like a bottomless pit, always asking for money whenever he came. Even if Tiffany had billions in assets, Mason would squander it all.
Tiffany sneered. "You can't even handle a simple task, and yet you dare to come here asking for money and the house."
"What do you mean? I helped you out, tracked that woman, and took so many photos for you, but now you want to renege on our deal?" Mason glared angrily.
Speaking of the photos, Tiffany was even more furious. "It's all because of you. You only take those ambiguous shots. Gabriel doesn't believe it at all. Why didn't you take some pictures of Sophia with another man in bed? If you had one, Gabriel would definitely despise Sophia!" Tiffany said.
"That little slut has nothing to do with that man. How can I take those photos?" Mason felt aggrieved. He had worked so hard to take all those photos, only to be blamed in the end, which made him very unhappy.
Tiffany coldly said, "You can't even handle your own affairs properly, and now you want my house? You're dreaming!"
"Fuck! Bitch, how dare you play me!" Mason was so angry that he slapped Tiffany.
Mason was fixated on this house, thinking that by doing things, he would get what he wanted, but Tiffany refused to give in. His efforts were in vain, all for nothing.
Drunk and furious, Mason reached his breaking point, his eyes bloodshot as if he were about to kill someone.
Tiffany covered her numb cheek that was slapped, retreating in fear. "What do you want? I warn you not to mess around; I will call the police." Tiffany said.
Mason couldn't hear anything she said, steadily advancing towards Tiffany.
Meanwhile, Gabriel was busy working on his study when his phone rang. Seeing that it was Tiffany, Gabriel hesitated but ultimately answered.
"Gabriel, help me!" Tiffany's screams echoed through the phone, along with the sound of something being knocked over, a scene of utter despair.
Gabriel stood up.
At that moment, Sam hurriedly pushed the door open, gesturing urgently, "Mommy is hurt!"
Gabriel's heart clenched, and with long strides, he quickly ran to the next room.
The door was open, and he rushed in.
"Sophia." He didn't notice that his voice was trembling.
Images of Sophia lying on the hospital bed, barely breathing, flashed through Gabriel's mind.
Upon entering, he didn't see Sophia anywhere, and Gabriel couldn't bear to think about how severely she might be injured.
Sophia heard the voice and came out of the study.
"Sophia!"
Seeing Sophia, Gabriel rushed over, looking her up and down with a mix of anxiety and panic.
"How are you? Where are you injured? Is it serious? Does it hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Gabriel bombarded her with questions. His nervousness confused Sophia.
Gabriel checked her all over and only saw a band-aid on one of Sophia's fingers, which relieved him.
Next, Gabriel hugged Sophia tightly as if trying to embed her into his body, saying, "Thank goodness you're okay."
Sophia froze, not moving a muscle as stiff as a stone.
Was Gabriel just nervous earlier?
The familiar scent surrounded them, and Gabriel's strong heartbeat could be felt against Sophia's body.
"Mommy." Emma's voice brought Sophia back to her senses. She suddenly pushed Gabriel away, her expression darkening.
"What are you doing here?" Sophia spoke coldly.
Seeing that Sophia was unharmed, Gabriel's face lit up with a smile, completely unaffected by her coldness. "I heard from Sam that you were hurt, so I came to check on you."
Sam walked over, feeling guilty, and gestured, "Mommy, I'm sorry. I don't want to eat apples anymore; I don't want to eat them ever again."
It was because he wanted to eat an apple that Sophia accidentally cut her hand while peeling it, causing a lot of bleeding. Sam was so scared that he ran to tell Gabriel.
Sophia knelt down and hugged Sam. "It's not your fault. It was my carelessness. Don't blame yourself. You can eat if you want to in the future, and I will be careful when peeling."
Sophia showed Sam her hand and said, "Look, it's not bleeding anymore."
Sam hugged Sophia with a heart full of love.
Gabriel ruffled Sam's hair.
"If anyone is to blame, blame me. I should have done this kind of rough work," Gabriel said.
Sam looked at Sophia, then at Gabriel, and smiled. His lips curled up, revealing a small tooth.
Sophia thought to herself, 'My son's smile is so healing.'
Gabriel returned after about fifteen minutes, only then remembering Tiffany's call.
He picked up his phone and called Alex.
That night, Sophia found it hard to sleep. For some reason, every time she closed her eyes, she remembered Gabriel nervously holding her. It wasn't until 1 AM that she finally let go of all distractions and fell asleep.
The next day, Sophia received flowers again. This was the second time she received flowers from "Mr. A."
She took out the note, which read, [Mr. A gives to the most beautiful Miss S, hoping that you will be as happy today as these flowers.]
Sophia smiled, placed this note together with the previous one, and put it in the drawer.
Sophia had just moved in and hadn't had a chance to tell Jake. How did he know her new address?
Perhaps Caroline told him? Maybe.
Without much thought, Sophia set the flowers aside and planned to trim them and put them in a vase after work.
Caroline spent days and nights at the hospital, money flowing out like water.
Yesterday, Lisa was admitted to the ICU.
"The situation is getting more serious. We can only recommend transferring to the First Hospital for treatment. There is a professor there who has performed such complex surgeries with a high success rate. You can give it a try," the doctor said.
Caroline thanked the doctor, left the office, and immediately contacted the First Hospital to arrange for the transfer.
"Caroline." Paul had disappeared for two days and now reappeared.
He must have been out having a good time these past two days.
Caroline didn't want to deal with Paul and walked straight to the ICU.
"Caroline, don't look so worried, like an old person," Paul said.
"If someone in your family was sick, you'd look like an old person, too." Caroline glanced at him.
Paul smiled and took out a wad of money. "I got you some money."
Caroline stopped in her tracks, staring at Paul intently.
Paul felt uneasy under her gaze.
"Don't worry, this money wasn't stolen; I borrowed it," Paul said.
