Chapter 152: Taking Sophia Away First

The group moved to a lively KTV venue, and Harrison came along too. With Mr. Lancaster gone, Harrison became the highest-ranking official present. He usually got along well with the staff, so he naturally wanted to join in the fun.

Inside the private room, another case of alcohol was brought in. A colleague handed Sophia a bottle, but she initially declined. However, she couldn't resist the persuasion and ended up drinking a bottle of beer. Feeling somewhat content, she bid farewell to everyone.

This time, no one insisted on keeping her.

After Sophia left, Randall also proposed to take his leave.

Standing outside and feeling the biting cold wind, Sophia's frustration dissipated considerably. She took a deep breath and noticed there weren't any taxis in sight, so she called for one using a mobile app.

A Mercedes-Benz pulled up in front of her, and Randall rolled down the window.

"Kelly the designer, it's not ideal to hail a taxi so late. Why not ride with me back home?" he suggested.

"I've already called for a cab."

Just as Sophia spoke, she received a notification that her order had been canceled. Randall heard it too and smiled, "Come on up."

Sophia contemplated for a moment, then got into the car.

Randall was very gentlemanly. After she got in, he deliberately moved a bit to the side to maintain a safe distance between them.

This gesture made Sophia feel instantly safe, and her mind relaxed considerably.

Randall instructed the driver to start driving and handed Sophia a bottle of water.

"Have some water."

Sophia was indeed quite thirsty. Seeing that the mineral water bottle was still sealed, she took it and took a few sips.

She and Randall had formed a good connection. Randall's understanding and insights about the industry had taught Sophia a lot, so she had a favorable impression of him.

The two started chatting in the car.

As they talked, Sophia began to feel increasingly dizzy.

What's going on?

She wasn't drinking excessively tonight, and her tolerance for alcohol wasn't that low.

Could it be that the drinks tonight were unusually strong?

"Kelly the designer, are you drunk? Why don't you take a nap, and I'll wake you up when we arrive," Randall suggested.

Sophia discreetly pinched herself to stay alert.

"No need, I'm not drunk."

"Alright."

Randall maintained his gentle and polite smile throughout.

After leaving the restaurant, Gabriel instructed the driver to head straight back to their old residence.

It was about four kilometers away from their old residence when Tiffany called.

"Hello."

"Gabriel, I'm scared..." Tiffany's voice came through, trembling and filled with tears, raising concerns for her.

"What happened?"

"Somebody is spying on me."

Gabriel motioned with his hand and asked Tiffany to continue.

The driver made a U-turn and comforted Tiffany across from him. "Close the windows and doors; I'll be there in a moment," he said.

After hanging up, Gabriel quickly said to the driver, "Go to Tiffany's house."

At that moment, Harrison called again.

"Old Lancaster, I saw Sophia get into Randall's car. She had quite a bit to drink, and that scum Randall won't let this opportunity pass," Harrison said.

Gabriel's heart tightened instantly. "You follow them for now," he said.

"Alright, you hurry over too."

He... Gabriel furrowed his brow tightly.

...

Sophia was in a dazed state, with only three parts of her mind remaining clear. But these three parts were not enough to be of any use. She half-opened her eyes, seeing people as blurred figures, and her legs felt weak and weightless.

In her haze, it seemed like someone had picked her up, and she faintly heard someone say something about getting a room.

What room were they talking about?

She didn't want a room.

"I... I want to go home."

Randall looked down at the woman in his arms and chuckled lightly. "Alright, let's go home."

He took the room key, half-supporting and half-carrying Sophia towards the elevator.

The front desk clerk glanced curiously and wanted to say something but was stopped by a colleague signaling her not to meddle.

Snow began to fall from the sky unexpectedly, marking the first snowfall in the city of B. People on the streets joyfully welcomed the arrival of the early snow.

Sophia was placed on a pristine white bed, not resisting at all. She completely drifted off, oblivious to her surroundings.

Her phone kept ringing. Randall picked it up, took a glance, and turned it off before throwing it aside.

"Designer Kelly," Randall completely dropped his pretense, revealing a sinister and greedy expression. He caressed Sophia's fair hand and muttered to himself, "After tonight, you can't blame me. Blame yourself for offending someone."

There was money to be made, and there was a woman. He wouldn't lose out on this deal.

Besides, this woman wasn't bad-looking, and she had a good figure with a unique charm. She was his type.

If she was willing, he could play with her for a longer time in the future.

The doorbell suddenly rang, and Randall didn't plan to pay any attention to it. But the incessant ringing was becoming bothersome, so he irritably went to open the door.

"Moth..." His profanity ceased when he saw Harrison. The irritation on his face quickly faded, replaced by a refined and genteel facade.

"Harrison, what are you doing here?"

Harrison pushed past him and walked in, searching everywhere for Sophia.

"How dare you barge in like this?"

"Randall, don't make me beat you up. Hand over the girl right now," Harrison said as he saw the bedroom. Sure enough, Sophia was lying there.

"Harrison, K..."

"Kelly (the designer) got drunk; what are you planning to do?" Randall acted like a gentleman, pretending to protect his female comrade, and stepped forward to stop Harrison.

Harrison was nauseated and almost punched him.

"What the hell are you doing, taking my intoxicated colleague to a hotel? What are your intentions? Believe it or not, I'll report you to the police."

Randall remained calm and composed, with a cold expression on his face. "I was just kindly escorting Designer Kelly home. However, she fell asleep before telling me her complete address, so I brought her to the hotel. It seems like Harrison wants to take advantage of the situation. I believe he's used to such behavior."

Haha, he managed to turn the tables on him. Judging from his calm demeanor, it's clear that he must have done this sort of thing many times before. Experienced and unafraid of being exposed.

Harrison wanted to hit someone but held himself back upon seeing Sophia.

"Sophia, wake up."

Seeing her in a state of unconsciousness, Harrison decided to carry her.

Randall blocked his path.

"Where do you think you're taking her?"

"None of your damn business!" Harrison was furious, with his veins bulging. He had to take care of Sophia, and he couldn't even fight back.

"Put her down."

Randall charged forward to stop him. Harrison struggled to hold onto Sophia in his arms, but Randall forcefully pushed him. In order to stabilize Sophia, Harrison reluctantly knelt on the ground.

"Damn it!" Harrison was enraged.

Due to his kneel, Sophia fell to the ground as well, rolling a few times in pain. Her head hit the corner of the wall, causing intense pain that woke her up.

She opened her eyes, her vision blurry. In the haze, she saw a familiar tall figure rushing towards her, seemingly calling her.

"Sophia, are you okay? Can you move? Wake up quickly."

She was already awake, so why were they telling her to wake up again?

She wanted to ask, "Who are you?"

"It's Old Lancaster. Let's take Sophia away first," Harrison shouted.

Damn, now he could finally fight without any worries!
