Chapter 312 Being Disliked is Inevitable

Gabriel doesn't like Sophia, and Sophia's once passionately beating heart for him has died.

In a loveless marriage, even remarriage is futile, and it may make the children even more unhappy.

Madam recovered.

Madam assured her, "Don't worry, I'm on your side. If Gabriel still wants to stop you from seeing the children, I will fight him even if it costs me my life just to give Gabriel a good beating.

"Although I've been retired for many years, I still have some influence in the Lancaster Group. I will do everything to leave him with nothing, unable to stop you anymore."

During that time, Madam happened to fall ill and lacked energy. By the time she found out, things had already reached that point. She sensed Gabriel's desire to have Sophia back and wanted the children to help, but instead, she unintentionally pushed Sophia into a corner.

Sophia found solace in her heart and hugged Madam.

Sophia said, "Madam, thank you."

Sophia added, "Madam, I don't want to see him now."

This "him" in Sophia's mind referred to Gabriel.

Madam glared at Gabriel, "Sophia doesn't want to see you. Why don't you leave and stop being a nuisance here?"

Gabriel felt rejected as he looked at the three children.

Ethan was tenderly holding mommy's hand, Emma turned her head with a huff, and Sam looked at mommy, then at daddy. He felt sorry for daddy, but he felt even more sorry for mommy.

Gabriel walked out desolately, feeling an indescribable discomfort.

Madam asked cheerfully, "How do you feel now? Are you feeling better?"

Sophia replied, "Yes."

Seeing Gabriel being driven away, Sophia felt extremely relieved.

Outside the door, Alex handed Gabriel some documents to sign.

Gabriel signed them and handed them back to Alex.

Alex inquired, "Boss, do you want to go back and take a shower and change clothes?"

Gabriel's clothes were wrinkled, and the stubble on his chin turned him from a handsome man into a weary uncle.

The boss was a neat freak, yet he didn't feel uncomfortable not showering and changing clothes now.

Gabriel instructed, "Bring me some clothes and toiletries."

Gabriel's mind was completely focused on Sophia, so he didn't feel much. It was only after Alex's reminder that he suddenly felt uneasy all over.

The boss was going to stay in the hospital again!

Alex said hesitantly, "Lancaster Group..."

Gabriel instructed, "Postpone what can be postponed, and have Harrison handle what can't be postponed. Bring the important documents to the hospital for signing."

"All right," Alex agreed, took the documents, and left. Shortly after, he brought clothes and toiletries for Gabriel.

Tiffany hadn't seen Gabriel at the company for two days, so she discreetly inquired about Gabriel's whereabouts.

Someone informed her, "The boss has been canceling his recent appointments."

"Then why hasn't he come to the company?" Tiffany asked in confusion.

The person replied, "I heard he went to the hospital, maybe he's ill."

Tiffany said, "I see, thank you."

Gabriel was sick? Tiffany was very worried. Gabriel had been growing increasingly distant from her, and during busy times, Tiffany hardly exchanged a few words with him at the company.

She had thought that by pretending to have amnesia and changing her personality to pursue him actively, she could make Gabriel like her again.

But now Tiffany didn't even have the chance to have a meal with Gabriel.

Knowing that Gabriel had gained custody of the three children, she wanted to become Mrs. Lancaster, which meant not only winning over Sam but also the other two, Ethan and Emma, who were even more difficult to deal with.

Tiffany asked Alex for information, but Alex didn't reveal anything.

Finally, Tiffany followed Alex to the hospital.

She discreetly asked about Gabriel's illness, only to discover that it was Sophia who was sick!

As Tiffany arrived at the ward, she heard Gabriel's voice.

Gabriel questioned, "Did you find out?"

Find out what? Tiffany quickly hid.

Alex replied, "There were six doctors and nurses present at Miss Kelly's delivery and surgery. Two of them have since left, supposedly to get married in their hometown."

Gabriel instructed, "Check on these two, but don't rule out the others completely."

Alex replied, "Understood."

After so many years, it would be difficult to uncover the truth, but Gabriel wouldn't give up.

Not finding out would pose a potential danger, threatening Sophia and the children's lives in secret.

Gabriel wasn't sure if this person was after him or after Sophia.

But regardless, Gabriel was determined to find out and make the other party pay a painful price!

Tiffany listened to their conversation from the shadows, her heart racing. Her face turned pale, and the elevator stopped on this floor.
Quickly, Tiffany pretended as if nothing had happened and walked out.

"Gabriel, why didn't you tell me you were sick?" Tiffany still acted as if she thought Gabriel was ill.

She looked at Gabriel with concern.

Tiffany asked, "How are you? Where does it hurt?"

Gabriel glanced at Alex, who felt wronged.

It wasn't him; this time he really hadn't disclosed the boss's schedule.

She asked, "Gabriel, answer me." Tiffany's eyes reddened with anxiety.

Gabriel coldly replied, "I'm fine."

Tifanny insisted, "But you're in the hospital."

Gabriel repeated, "I'm really fine."

Tiffany said, "I don't believe you. I'm going to ask the doctor about your condition." With that, she ran off to find the doctor.

Gabriel gave Alex a look that said, "It's up to you now."

Alex had no choice but to follow Tiffany.

Caroline emerged from the elevator and saw Tiffany showing concern for Gabriel, who remained indifferent. When Tiffany tried to touch his hand, Gabriel quickly avoided it.

Caroline said, "Mr. Lancaster, Sophia needs a quiet environment to rest. Please don't let anyone she dislikes come to the hospital and affect her mood."

Gabriel nodded silently.

Caroline took a thermos of food into the ward.

She informed Sophia about the scene she had just witnessed.

Caroline said, "I think they have really separated."

Sophia was eating, feeling emotionally indifferent about it.

Jake Hughes was nearby, slicing an apple for Sophia, and whispered, "Their current behavior is what we call 'loose ends.'"

Sophia didn't care whether Gabriel and Tiffany were still entangled. She just wanted to be with the children.

Caroline, seeing Sophia's silence, stopped mentioning Gabriel. She firmly stood by Sophia's side and held a strong aversion towards Gabriel, the despicable man.

She told Sophia to reassure her, as Tiffany might not be able to handle being the stepmother to the children.

Gabriel was working on his computer at the door. When he entered, the three children pushed him out, so he silently stood guard outside.

Caroline chatted with Sophia for a while before going to see the head nurse.

Caroline had already contacted a buyer on the dark web who offered her a good price. She was going to meet them this afternoon for the transaction.

Caroline went home to get her violin, holding it tightly as she arrived at a residential area and called the buyer.

The buyer said, "You can come in, Building D. Call me when you're downstairs."

Caroline replied, "Okay."

From the voice, Caroline could tell the buyer was a young woman, which eased her nerves as she entered the residential area.
