Chapter 426 Cut Ties with Daisy as Soon as Possible

Sophia was shocked by Gabriel's actions. She tried to push him away, but he held her tighter.

"Let go of me," she murmured.

She wanted to sound fierce, but maybe because she was sick, she just sounded weak.

Gabriel didn't care. He finally had her in his arms and wanted to hold on longer.

He even wanted to kiss her.

Then, his phone rang.

Sophia struggled. "Your phone is ringing."

Gabriel frowned.

"Gabriel, let go of me."

The phone kept ringing until Gabriel finally answered.

It was really killing the mood.

He had to let go of Sophia.

She ran to the kitchen, her face turning a faint shade of pink.

The call was from Alex.

"Mr. Lancaster."

Alex hesitated, sensing Gabriel's bad mood.

He thought, 'Did I interrupt something between Gabriel and Sophia? Great, there goes my raise.'

Gabriel hung up and walked to the kitchen door.

"I'm heading to the office."

"Okay," Sophia replied softly.

Gabriel looked at her back reluctantly. After he turned around, Sophia faced him, but said nothing.

Gabriel left, leaving Sophia alone in the house.

The emptiness hit her hard.

She hated this feeling of emptiness and quiet. When she lived here with her parents, it was always lively. Now, with the kids, it was filled with laughter every day.

Being sick made her heart more fragile. With Gabriel around, she hadn't felt lonely.

Sophia shook off her thoughts and patted her face.

"Sophia, wake up. Have you forgotten about Tiffany?"

'What if Gabriel and Tiffany gets back together? Would I be hurt by Gabriel again?'

Tiffany was now doing Livestream Shopping and had become quite famous.

Online, Tiffany was still seen as Gabriel's girlfriend, using that title to sell products successfully. In just a few days, she made over 100 million dollars.

By the time Alex found out, Tiffany had already made a lot of money and had millions of followers.

Gabriel was stern. He had promised Tiffany not to make any public announcements, but those who needed to know already knew. He didn't expect Tiffany to keep letting people believe she was his girlfriend during her livestreams.

She even misled her followers when they speculated about her and Gabriel getting married, causing the news to trend again.

Gabriel found Tiffany's contact and sent a warning message.

Tiffany saw the message and felt calm. This was the second warning from Gabriel. This time, she wasn't angry but typed a response.

Tiffany: [Sorry, Gabriel, I didn't expect to cause you so much trouble. Don't worry. I'll be more careful in the future and won't mention these things again. But, for the sake of our past and the fact that I saved your life, can you not make a statement?]

Tiffany: [Just give me some dignity. If my followers find out you dumped me, my livestream career will be over. I finally found something I love to do and started over, Gabriel.]

As long as Tiffany didn't use his name for clout, Gabriel didn't care what she did now.

Gabriel didn't reply, but considering she had saved his life, he didn't have the company issue a statement.

Tiffany stared at the chat with Gabriel.

She needed money. A fixed salary at Lancaster Group wasn't enough for her lifestyle.

She needed more money to do what she wanted.

Livestream Shopping was the fastest way for her to make money.

Tiffany was good-looking, skilled at creating a persona, and with the title of Gabriel's girlfriend, she quickly became a super live-streamer.

She smiled smugly.

But the call from that day never came again, and she still hadn't found out who it was.

In Country Y, Charles' condition had improved enough to be transferred, and Nicholas was arranging for him to be moved to Country M for treatment.

That day, Paul accompanied Nicholas to the hospital to make arrangements and planned to drive Nicholas back.

"Nicholas, your mom called me. Did you have another fight with Aragorn?"

Nicholas didn't answer, but Paul knew it was true.

"Your mom said Daisy is pregnant. Nicholas, did you really cheat on Caroline?"

'Maybe Nicholas couldn't resist the temptation and has fooled around with Daisy?' he thought.

Paul glanced at Nicholas' leg. 'Even with his leg in that condition, he...'

Feeling Nicholas' cold gaze, Paul quickly looked away.

"No," Nicholas said flatly.

Paul breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. Otherwise, what would Caroline and Josie do? Is this why Caroline took Josie and left?"

Paul had guessed the truth again.

He became serious and earnestly advised Nicholas, "Nicholas, if you really still like Caroline, if you love her, you need to deal with these things quickly. Cut ties with Daisy as soon as possible. Otherwise, what will Caroline be in your life? She'll be called your mistress."

Nicholas' eyes suddenly became sharp, and his heart felt like it had been punched, causing a dull, intense pain.

He just wanted Caroline to come back to him, and then he would deal with Daisy. He didn't expect Daisy to get pregnant. Although the child wasn't his, everyone around him, including Caroline, thought it was.

So, that must be why Caroline had decisively taken Josie and left the country.

'Did this indirectly mean that Caroline still has feelings for me?' he wondered. 'It must be. Otherwise, why would she care so much about Daisy?'

Nicholas felt a mix of happiness and worry, his breathing becoming heavier.

He wanted to rush to Caroline immediately and tell her that he never had a relationship with Daisy, that he had always been thinking about her and still loved her.

This time, he was convinced that she wouldn't reject him.

"Paul, drive faster," Nicholas kept urging Paul.

Paul smiled slightly. 'Nicholas seems to understand something. Is he eager to see Caroline?'

Caroline was packing her things. She had found a new place to live and was preparing to move out of Paul's house with Lisa and Josie.

She had also contacted her team and agreed to their proposal. She would do some commercial performances first and look for opportunities to restart her tour later.
