Chapter 379 Still Regretful

Sophia couldn't believe it. She carefully examined the two paternity test reports.

Ethan explained, "Great-grandma helped us with the paternity test reports. They can't be fake."

Therefore, Sophia's suspicions were actually true!

The three kids had indeed done something earth-shattering.

She had to tell Caroline as soon as possible.

The night was dark, the weather gloomy, and the air felt suffocating.

The weather forecast said it would rain tonight.

Caroline left the hospital only after Lisa fell asleep.

Now that she didn't need to stay with Lisa at night, she went straight home to rest.

Caroline hailed a cab, answering Sophia's call as she walked out of the hospital.

Heavy rain hit the ground, and people around were running to find shelter.

"Hello, Sophie," Caroline answered the phone while jogging.

"Where are you now? Come to my house quickly."

"I just left the hospital. Did something happen?"

Caroline saw the cab she had called on the other side of the street. The rain was getting heavier, and she didn't have an umbrella, so she hurried to run over.

Sophia said, "Josie is your child."

Sophia clearly heard the sound of a car horn from the other end of the phone, followed by a heavy thud. Caroline's phone seemed to drop to the ground, and then there were various sounds of panic.

She vaguely heard someone shouting, "Call an ambulance!"

Sophia almost dropped her phone, her whole body suddenly cold and trembling.

At the Watson Manor, Nicholas came home early tonight but went straight to the study.

Daisy had been very busy these past few days. She was about to marry Nicholas and was busy preparing for the wedding.

Although time was tight, she didn't mind. As long as she could have the wedding and marry the man she loved, it didn't matter if the wedding wasn't perfect.

Fortunately, the Watson family had always been preparing for Nicholas' wedding, so it wasn't too rushed. The wedding preparations were proceeding in an orderly manner.

"Josie, I smell alcohol on your dad. He must have drunk a lot at tonight's social event. Here's some soup; take it to your dad."

Daisy handed a plate of soup to Josie.

Josie obediently took it.

"Remember to say that Grandma asked you to bring it."

Josie didn't understand why she had to say it was from her grandma.

Daisy noticed Josie's confusion. She felt impatient but held it in and explained patiently.

"If you say it's from me, your dad might not drink it. Then he'll have a headache tomorrow. But if you say Grandma asked you to bring it, he'll drink it, and his head won't hurt."

Learning the reason, Josie remembered the last time Daisy asked her to bring food to Nicholas, and he didn't eat it.

She didn't want Nicholas to have a headache.

So Josie carefully carried the soup to the study. She knocked on the door and only opened it when she heard Nicholas' voice.

"Dad, Grandma asked me to bring you some soup."

"Okay, just leave it there."

Nicholas saw that Josie hadn't left after putting down the soup and asked, "Is there something you need?"

"I need to watch you drink it." She wanted to make sure Nicholas drank the hangover soup; otherwise, he might not drink it after she left.

Nicholas' lips curled into a slight smile. Josie was becoming more clever and talkative, no longer hiding behind Daisy when she saw him.

He picked up the soup and drank it in one gulp.

"Done?"

Josie giggled. "Dad is so good."

Nicholas reached out and pinched her cheek.

Josie picked up the plate and left.

Daisy saw the empty plate and asked, "Did your dad drink it?"

"Yes."

Daisy couldn't hide her excitement.

"Alright, it's late. Go to bed now." She spoke to Josie more gently.

Josie was happy, put the plate in the kitchen, and went to wash up and sleep.

An hour later, Nicholas came out of the study. Whether it was the weather outside or something else, he felt a fire burning within him.

Nicholas unbuttoned two buttons on his collar, revealing his strong collarbone.

Back in his room, Nicholas immediately took a cold shower.

Only then did the heat in his body subside.

The clock pointed to midnight, and Nicholas lay down to sleep.

However, half an hour later, Nicholas felt hot again. This time, the heat was even more intense, slowly consuming his rationality.

The door was opened from the outside, and a figure sneaked in, a pair of fair hands reaching for Nicholas on the bed.

The room was dark, and soon, the sounds of a man and woman in sex filled the room.

The next day, when Daisy woke up, Nicholas was no longer beside her.

She hugged the still-warm blanket, her face full of happiness.

She finally had sex with Nicholas!

Daisy was very happy. She lay on her side, recalling last night's sex. Because of Nicholas' leg disability, she had to take the initiative.

The process was a bit tiring, but the result was wonderful.

Daisy looked around Nicholas' room, noticing even the curtains were black.

After they got married, she would redecorate this room, changing everything to pink and white. She wanted to make the room beautiful and fill it with her presence.

In the future, she would be the hostess of this house.

Thinking about the future made Daisy even happier.

The Watson family was having breakfast. Everyone was surprised to see Daisy coming out of Nicholas' room.

"Daisy, you..." Gummidge looked at Daisy in shock.

She had been through this before. Seeing Daisy's blushing face and knowing she came out of Nicholas' room, Gummidge immediately guessed what had happened last night.

Daisy shyly lowered her head and said, "Sorry, I got up late."

Gummidge smiled and replied, "Not late at all. Come have breakfast."

Aragorn also understood. He thought Nicholas had finally done something right.

It seemed their wedding would go smoothly.

At this rate, Nicholas and Daisy might have a child by next year.

"Where's Nicholas?" Daisy was disappointed not to see him.

"We haven't seen him either. He might have gone to the office early."

"Nicholas is always so dedicated. He works too hard," Daisy said with concern.

Aragorn and Gummidge smiled with satisfaction.

Josie didn't understand the adults' matters, but she could tell they were happy.

They had recently been talking about Daisy and Nicholas' wedding. She knew they wouldn't separate.

For some reason, she felt a bit sad.

Her biggest wish was for her dad and mom not to separate, but in that way, Caroline couldn't be her mom anymore.

She still felt regretful.

After breakfast, Josie went to her room to practice the violin.

At the airport, Nicholas was in the waiting area holding a newspaper. Charles sat on the other side, upright and straight-backed.

His eyes occasionally glanced at Nicholas with a complex expression, a hint of guilt flashing through them.
