Chapter 313 Encounter with Danger

Caroline waited downstairs at Building D for ten minutes, but the buyer didn't show up.

She had to call the buyer again.

"Sorry, I'm a bit busy right now. Can you bring it up to me?" a somewhat weak voice came from the woman.

Caroline hesitated.

The woman continued, "I'm really busy. I'm in Room 802. Please bring it up, and I'll check it and pay you directly."

After some hesitation, Caroline agreed.

This was a decent neighborhood, and the buyer was a woman, so there shouldn't be any issues.

Upon reaching the eighth floor and seeing the door with the number 802, Caroline rang the doorbell.

A middle-aged woman opened the door warmly, inviting Caroline in and even offering her a bottle of water.

"Let me see the violin," she said.

Caroline handed the violin to the woman.

After examining it, the woman asked Caroline to play a short piece. The music was beautiful, and the woman seemed captivated, applauding and praising Caroline.

"You play so beautifully. Why are you selling this violin?" the woman curiously asked.

Caroline replied, "I have another violin."

Caroline didn't want to say much, but the woman kept talking, so she responded reluctantly.

The woman suggested, "After all this talking, you must be thirsty. Have some water first, and then I'll take another look."

The woman picked up the violin again for inspection.

As the weather grew hotter, Caroline noticed the lack of a fan in the woman's house. She started sweating and feeling thirsty, eyeing the mineral water in front of her.

She picked it up, saw that the cap was sealed, and drank a big gulp, feeling relieved.

The woman then said, "It's good. I'll take this violin. Let me pay you. Wait here while I find my phone."

The woman began searching for her phone in the house.

Caroline sat elegantly, patiently waiting.

As she waited, feeling dizzy, Caroline had a bad premonition.

She stood up, put the violin back in its case, and slung it over her shoulder.

"I've changed my mind. I'm leaving," she said.

"Don't go," the woman said.

The woman rushed towards Caroline, easily pulling her down onto the sofa, where Caroline couldn't get up.

Before passing out, Caroline saw the once gentle and kind woman's face change, revealing a smug and sinister smile.

After a while, Caroline slowly regained consciousness. Her eyelids felt heavy, but she managed to open them slightly. In a blurry vision, she realized she was in a dark room, lying weakly on a bed.

Caroline tried to speak but couldn't.

She was terrified, unsure of the danger she was in. She bit her lip hard, feeling the pain jolting her back to reality. She overheard a conversation between a man and a woman outside the open door.

"This woman is very beautiful today. We can make a lot of money this time," the woman greedily remarked.

"I've never seen such a beautiful woman before," a man's disgusting gaze fell on Caroline.

Caroline felt humiliated as if she were being observed like an object.

"I'll enjoy this beautiful woman tonight. After we're done playing, we'll take her to the base for surgery," another man's voice sounded more vicious and repulsive.

The other voice said, "And don't let her die in the end. We can sell her abroad for a good price."

Caroline understood the situation and felt extremely frightened. She clenched her lip tightly, the pain helping her focus a bit. She observed her surroundings and slowly reached for the ashtray on the bedside table.

As the two men entered, Caroline hid the ashtray under the blanket, pretending to be still asleep.

The first man said, "What luck we have today. She's so beautiful."

The other man said, "Look at her tender skin."

The first man insisted, "I'll have my way with her first."

The other replied, "Hurry up."

One man approached Caroline, emanating a stench of sweat and tobacco that made her nauseous. She endured it until he got closer, then suddenly opened her eyes, grabbed the ashtray, and with all her strength, smashed it towards the man's head.

"Ah!" the man yelled before Caroline struck again.

The other man reacted, pulling the first man away and then kicking towards Caroline.

Caroline was knocked to the ground.

"She's awake. Are you okay?" the other man asked.

The first man said angrily, "I'll kill her."

The assaulted man viciously lunged at Caroline.

With the ashtray in hand, Caroline struck back, but she couldn't resist the strength of two burly men. One of them grabbed her hand, restraining her.

Slaps landed on her beautiful face.

The pain made her more alert.

Caroline stated, "You're committing a crime!"

One of the men said, "As long as you don't escape, who will know what we're doing?"

Caroline spat, furiously, "You villains! Let me go."

Several slaps hit Caroline consecutively, leaving her powerless to resist.

She felt like a fish on a chopping board, at the mercy of others.

One of the men ordered, "Cover her mouth."

Caroline's mouth was taped shut, her hands bound. She struggled in fear.

What could she do?

Who could save her?

Countless figures flashed through Caroline's mind, but she knew no one would come to her rescue.

Caroline felt utterly helpless.

One of the men dragged Caroline by a leg to a corner, standing in front of her, unbuckling his belt.

Beaten and drugged, Caroline had no strength left after the struggle. Even with the pain, she couldn't muster any more strength to fight back.

Wide-eyed with terror, tears streamed down Caroline's face.

Caroline thought, 'Dean Mom, I'm sorry. I might die before you.'

From fear to helplessness, and then to despair, in just a moment, Caroline ceased all resistance.

She accepted her fate.

Perhaps, this was meant to happen to her at this moment.

She was unwilling, truly unwilling.

There were still many things she hadn't done and hadn't seen the scoundrels, and villains pay for their actions.

As the man approached, Caroline closed her eyes in despair, tears falling from the corners.

Outside, a commotion arose, but the men in the room were too focused on Caroline to notice. A man in a wheelchair slowly appeared at the door, backlit, his face obscured.
