Chapter 93 Madam Didn't See Sophia

Sophia coldly raised her gaze, unfamiliarly looking at Gabriel. "And you, blind and clueless. If you dare make her Sam's mother, I am willing to do anything to break you apart."

She turned resolutely, unable to hold back a single tear that escaped from the corner of her eye, tracing a delicate path down her cheek.

"Wait," Gabriel called out to her. "I need to talk to you."

Suddenly, he became calm, removing the abruptness from his tone.

"Tiffany, you go outside first," Gabriel turned to Tiffany and said.

Tiffany didn't want to leave. "Gabriel, what else do you have to say to her? I already know from Alfred that she made Sam's condition worse."

"Go outside," Gabriel's tone began to sound impatient.

Reluctantly, Tiffany couldn't provoke Gabriel any further, so she glared at Sophia and left.

"Come with me," Gabriel walked toward the staircase.

Sophia turned around, not wanting to engage with him. Who did he think he was to command her?

"If you want to know about Sam's condition, follow me."

Sophia changed her direction reluctantly and ended up following him downstairs, arriving at a corner outside the hospital.

Tiffany initially wanted to eavesdrop, but they left the stairwell. She tried to catch up but was a step too slow, losing them. She returned with frustration.

A gentle breeze blew as Sophia, dressed professionally, exuded a sense of competence and elegance. Her hair was tied into a bun, lending a touch of playfulness to her overall appearance.

She was impatient, evident on her delicate face. Her tone was icy. "Speak up."

"For the time being, avoid seeing Sam," he said calmly.

"Why! You promised I could see him twice a month," Sophia instantly became furious.

Seeing her like this, Gabriel thought of the word "lion." It described her perfectly at the moment.

Rather than letting Sophia's anger fuel his own, he calmly continued, "Sam's symptoms of autism have worsened. His psychologist says it may be due to contact with his biological mother. For Sam's sake, try to endure it."

Gabriel speaking to her so calmly made Sophia feel a bit uncomfortable.

Harrison had told her that Sam's autism was caused by a lack of motherly love, but if she had been careful not to meet Sam for his own good, then why would his condition worsen because of her?

Something didn't add up for Sophia.

"I want to meet his psychologist."

"No need."

She didn't believe him like that?

Knowing that he wouldn't let her meet, Sophia changed her approach. "Well, surely you can tell me the name of the doctor?"

"Alfred."

"For Sam's sake, I can temporarily avoid meeting him, but I want to see him from outside the hospital room. Otherwise, I won't be at ease." Sophia persisted.

Gabriel thought for a moment, as long as Sam didn't see her, she could watch. She had thought Sophia would be stubborn this time, but she unexpectedly compromised so easily, which made Gabriel uncomfortable.

He took her back to the ward where Tiffany was still outside. Seeing Sophia return, Tiffany clenched her teeth in anger.

"Gabriel," she called out. Gabriel just nodded slightly, not saying anything. Sophia, on the other hand, walked to the door and peeked inside through the window.

The little one lay there quietly, with a flushed face and a towel on her forehead. Sophia felt a prick in her heart, her nose tingling.

I'm sorry, it's all Mommy's fault.

Mommy will never abandon you again.

You must get better soon.

Sophia stood until her legs grew sore. Tiffany's displeased voice reached her ears.

"Miss Kelly, how much longer do you want to watch?"

Before leaving, Sophia glanced at Sam one last time. She turned away, ignoring Tiffany. Passing by Gabriel, she softly said, "Instead of worrying about me being harmful to Sam, you should worry about your pillow partner, after all, I'm his birth mother, not her."

"Sophia, what nonsense are you spouting?" Tiffany exclaimed, as if she had been hurt.

Sophia coldly glanced at her and smirked, then left.

"Gabriel, don't believe her nonsense. You've seen how good I've been to Sam all these years. I even gave up my own child for Sam," Tiffany said, afraid that Gabriel would doubt her because of Sophia's words.

Gabriel neither believed nor disbelieved her, merely giving her a plain look and saying, "You should go back first."

"But I haven't seen Sam yet," Tiffany was unwilling to leave.

"Grandma is inside, you can't go in. We'll go back to the old house once Sam gets better."

Reluctantly, Tiffany lowered her head. "Fine, then I'll come see Sam in a couple of days."

"If Sam still needs me, I won't accompany you."

With that, Gabriel pushed open the door and entered the ward.

Mrs. Lancaster and Betty were sitting on the couch, with a blind spot from the door, which was why Sophia didn't see Madam. And Madam didn't see Sophia either.

Sophia returned to the company and immediately searched for the person named "Alfred" on her computer. The information she found showed that Alfred was a renowned child psychologist in China, with some international recognition as well. Looking at his credentials, he had successfully cured many autistic patients.

Sophia looked at Alfred's information and found it a bit exaggerated.

No failures at all?

Even the best surgeons have failed operations.

Curing autism is a long process, and some people even remain autistic for a lifetime, while others improve with the support and care of their family and friends.
Slowly, she began to heal.

Sophia took out her phone and sent a WeChat message to Vincent.
"Do you know any familiar psychologists?"

Vincent was probably busy, as he didn't reply right away. Sophia patiently waited while continuing to search for information.
It wasn't until lunchtime that Sophia finally received a response from Vincent.
"No, I don't."

Sophia asked, "What about Alfred?"
Vincent replied, "He's a renowned child psychologist."
Sophia said, "I want to find a better psychologist for Sam."

Vincent replied, "I know there's an exceptional psychologist internationally named Morris, but it's not easy to find him."

A glimmer of excitement appeared in Sophia's eyes. "Tell me more about Morris."
Vincent sent some information about Morris, and after Sophia looked it over, she decided to contact him.

However... she didn't have any connections.

Vincent said, "I'll ask my colleagues in the industry if they have any solutions for you."
Sophia expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you. I'll treat you to a meal when you have the time."

Vincent smiled at the corners of his mouth and replied, "Sure."

A colleague walked into the break room and saw Vincent laughing foolishly while holding his phone.
"Is Dr. Vincent sending messages to his girlfriend?"
Vincent snapped out of his trance and put down his phone.

"No," he replied. She wasn't his girlfriend yet.
The colleague gave him a knowing look, took a book, and left.

In the afternoon, Sam finally recovered from the fever. Gabriel had been waiting at the hospital all day and only took his son back to their old home when the fever subsided.
