Chapter 725 My Brother

"Is it possible that Sophie is trapped in this villa?" David voiced his suspicion.

Gabriel furrowed his brows tightly and thought for a moment.

They didn't even know if Sophia was alive or dead.

Gabriel picked up his phone and made a call.

Ten minutes later, two people went to visit Victor. Victor's servant exchanged a few words with them at the door, and then they left.

Gabriel's phone rang at that moment.

"The servant said Victor is not in the villa."

Gabriel was uneasier.

Gabriel wondered, 'Is Victor really not in the villa? We had been searching all night, and if we couldn't find Sophie today...'

Gabriel didn't dare to imagine the consequences.

He would go crazy!

On a boat, Sophia lay quietly on a white bed, her hair spread out on the pillow like seaweed.

Her face was slightly pale, but her lips were full and red.

Her eyes were tightly closed, and her eyelashes were long.

"Sophie!" Jake strode over to Sophia, called her a few times, but she didn't wake up. He grabbed her hand and felt her pulse; it was still beating. He breathed a sigh of relief.

Victor had a faint smile.

"How about it, do you like this gift?"

Jake asked coldly, "What happened to her?"

Victor replied, "She just took some sleeping pills and fell asleep."

This was a regular fishing boat. After Sophia was taken on board, the boat left the coast and drifted into deeper waters.

Large fishing boats like this usually stayed out for several days, sometimes up to half a month, so it wouldn't arouse suspicion.

Moreover, there was no signal at sea, which blocked all electronic device monitoring.

Jake followed Victor on a speedboat to this large boat.

Knowing that Sophia was unharmed, Jake felt relieved.

Victor snapped his fingers, and a middle-aged man walked in.

The man was impeccably dressed, clearly an elite in some field.

Victor introduced, "This is the best hypnotist in the country. If you need, he can hypnotize Sophia to make her forget the past and start anew with you."

Victor added, "But before that, Gabriel must die."

Jake remained silent.

It was a good idea. If Sophia forgot everything, she would accept him, and they would have a chance to be together.

And Gabriel, he had to die anyway.

Jake was swayed by Victor's suggestion.

He quietly watched the motionless Sophia.

Jake remembered how decisively Sophia had cut ties with him. His eyes turned cold, and his once bright smile for Sophia became indifferent.

"Then let her forget."

Twenty-four hours had passed, and there was still no trace of Sophia.

Gabriel slumped in the driver's seat, his bloodshot eyes staring at the car roof.

Gabriel said, "Sophie, where are you?"

At that moment, Colin called.

"There's news. Someone saw Sophie at a place. I'm heading there now."

"I'm on my way!"

Gabriel floored the gas pedal, and the car sped off like a rocket.

Then David called.

"The police found a clue there."

It was in the opposite direction of where Colin mentioned.

Soon after, Alex also called, saying he had found Sophia's whereabouts.

A screeching brake sound pierced the air as Gabriel slammed on the brakes, and his body lurched forward because of inertia.

The car stopped, and Gabriel took a moment to compose himself.

Gabriel wondered, 'Why are there so many leads all of a sudden? And all in different places.'

Gabriel's intuition told him it was a trap.

He hurriedly called Colin and David.

Colin was still on his way. After hearing Gabriel, he quickly stopped his car.

However, David didn't answer his phone.

Gabriel grew anxious.

"Alex, take your men to David's location."

"Got it."

Gabriel quickly turned around and headed there.

David couldn't afford to get into trouble.

Everyone rushed to one place to save David, who might be in danger.

Halfway there, Gabriel's phone rang again.

This time it was an unknown number.

"Want to see Sophia? Come to the abandoned chemical plant in the east."

"What do you want?" Gabriel asked coldly.

The other person chuckled sinisterly, "You'll know when you get here."

With that, the caller hung up.

Gabriel stopped the car again.

His head hurt, and his surgical wound hurt even more, but it wasn't enough. He pressed his fingers hard on the surgical wound, the intense pain making him break out in a cold sweat, but it also kept his mind clear.

He hadn't rested for a day and a night, and his body was exhausted.

The caller didn't reveal any purpose, only told him to go to the chemical plant, and even the voice was altered.

Perhaps going there, Gabriel wouldn't see Sophia and might lose his life.

But he had to go.

He couldn't give up any clue that might lead to Sophia.

Without hesitation, Gabriel quickly drove towards the abandoned chemical plant in the east.

He also turned on the real-time location on his phone.

It took two hours to drive from downtown to the abandoned chemical plant, and by then, the sun had set, and it was getting dark.

There were hardly any cars on the road.

Gabriel floored the gas pedal, speeding as fast as he could.

When the car couldn't go any further, he had to get out.

The place was overgrown with weeds, which were at half a person's height, and there wasn't enough light. But the weather was good, and Gabriel could see the path under the moonlight.

Gabriel used his phone for light, stepping on the grass, making a sound that was a bit eerie.

The wind blew gently.

In the distance, there were faint lights at the abandoned chemical plant.

Gabriel's face lit up with joy. He quickened his pace.

Outside the plant, guards reported the noise inside.

Gabriel was then restrained.

Inside the plant, Jake sat in a chair, a tea set on the table in front of him. He was skillfully making tea.

When Gabriel was brought in, Jake's lips curled into a faint smile.

"You're here."

Jake's voice was low, but it echoed in the empty plant.

Gabriel didn't resist as they restrained his hands. He looked coldly at Jake, his suspicions confirmed.

It was Jake!

"Where's Sophie?"

The place was visible at a glance; Sophie wasn't there.

"She's in a very safe and comfortable place. She is fine."

Gabriel shouted, "Let her go!"

Jake raised his teacup and smirked, "Come have a cup of tea first, my brother."

He gave a signal to his men, who immediately released Gabriel and took his phone.

Gabriel clenched his fists.

He couldn't confront Jake now; he hadn't seen Sophie and didn't know where she was.

He had to ensure Sophie's safety.

Gabriel calmly walked over, and his face was expressionless.
