Chapter 46 Memorable Coffee Spilling Scene

Later that evening, Sophia continued to work in her study. As she was nearing the end, it was already half past ten, and both of her little darlings were fast asleep.

After preparing her nightwear, Sophia found that she couldn't sleep right away, so she decided to take out her phone and browse for a while.

That day, the text message she received from the number ending in "9695" turned out to be an invalid number when she called back, just like years ago.

Back then, aside from Tiffany, no one else would send her messages. Although she was a hundred percent certain that this number belonged to Tiffany, Sophia knew that she needed more evidence. Otherwise, if they were to confront each other in the future, she wouldn't have the upper hand.

Five years ago, when she was pregnant, Gabriel used this number to send numerous messages, informing her about his care free life abroad. There were also some photos, but the woman's face in the pictures had been deliberately overshadowed. Yet, the tenderness and affection in Gabriel's expression seemed genuine.

At that time, she deeply loved Gabriel and couldn't help but imagine things. However, he also sent many threatening and intimidating messages. Combined with her high-risk pregnancy and constant worry about the fate of her children, she lacked a sense of security and became particularly sensitive. Under such extreme circumstances, she fell into a deep depression.

Sophia didn't want to dwell on those painful memories of the past anymore. After five years, she finally knew who owned this number. A hint of determination flashed through Sophia’s eyes. If she had remained unaware, it would have been fine, but now that she knew, she could not simply turn the page on this matter.

However, for the time being, she needed to focus on fighting for custody of Sam. Only when all three children were by her side could she act without any worries.

Ethan blinked his eyes drowsily and saw that Mommy was still awake. He slowly wriggled over and snuggled up to her, his voice soft and slightly playful, "Mommy~"

Sophia quickly put her phone down and gently covered him with the blanket. "Hmm, did I wake you up?" Ethan shook his head to say no “ Mommy, go to sleep, you have to go to work tomorrow.” She replied “Okay”

As Sophia lay down, Ethan says “ Mommy, I want to go play with my classmates after school tomorrow.”

"Oh? You made new friends so quickly?" Sophia thought it would take them quite a while to adjust after moving to a new country.

"Yeah." Ethan buried his head and responded.

"Remember to stay safe and call Mommy right away if anything happens." Sophia didn't want to restrict her children. Although they were still young, both of them were smart. Ethan was responsible and mature, while Emma was mischievous. They often played with their friends when they were in their home country.

"Is your allowance enough?" Sophia realized that she hadn't given her children any pocket money for some time.

"It's enough." The pocket money Mommy gave him was too little, and he had already spent it. He recently completed a job online, fixing a set of surveillance data, and earned quite a bit of money. He and Emma definitely had enough to spend.

When he earns a large sum, he will be able to give it to Mommy.

Cute.

Sophia didn't expect her two children to be so thrifty. She felt guilty for not allowing them to have any pocket money for themselves.

Sophia kissed Ethan and then kissed Emma, who dreamed of becoming a game princess.

The next day, Sophia arrived at the company and immediately attended a meeting. The meeting lasted the entire morning, and just before lunch break, Larry rushed over in a hurry.

"Sophia, the sample clothes you just finished yesterday got ruined."

Sophia threw the documents in her hand onto the desk and quickly headed to the sample studio.

Fiona and a few other designers were standing there while Charlotte stood there with a frown. When Charlotte saw Sophia, she immediately relaxed.

"What happened?" Sophia approached and saw a large stain on the sample clothes. Her face instantly turned grim.

Fiona half-heartedly apologized, "I'm sorry, I slipped and accidentally spilled my coffee on it."

Ha, Sophia laughed. This woman never learned her lesson. It seems she was too easy to bully.
"You slipped, huh." Sophia snatched a cup of coffee from another designer and walked to Fiona's sample clothes.

Fiona suddenly had a sense of foreboding.

With an evil smirk, Sophia asked, "You slipped like this? Is this how you slipped?"

As soon as Scarlett finished speaking, she "slipped" and the coffee accurately splashed on Fiona's sample clothes, from top to bottom.

"Ah! Sophia, you're dead! This is the sample clothes I worked so hard on!" Fiona screamed and dashed towards Sophia.

Everyone else was startled..

When Kathy Caroline entered, she witnessed the whole scene of Sophia pouring the coffee. Seeing Fiona in a furious rage, ready to confront Sophia, the corners of Kathy Caroline’s mouth slightly lifted.

She had merely praised Sophia's design in the pantry earlier, mentioning that she couldn't compare to Sophia. Fiona had overheard. Fiona did not disappoint her in her expectations.

Looking at her ruined sample clothes, Fiona wanted nothing more than to tear Sophia apart. Her hands trembled as if she wanted to raise them.

How could Sophia not see through it? She coldly reminded her, "Don't forget last time's lesson. I did learn Taekwondo."

Fiona immediately backed off. Her eyes turned red in anger, tears almost falling, as she pointed a trembling finger at Sophia.

"You, you, you just wait! I will definitely tell Margaret and have her fire you!"

"Go ahead, let Margaret review the surveillance footage. Let's see if it was intentional or unintentional." Sophia said

With Fiona's intelligence, how she became a senior designer was truly... a miracle!

Seeing Fiona on the losing end, Kathy Caroline silently cursed her as she walked forward to defuse the situation.

"In the studio, there are many expensive fabrics. Since we are all designers, we should know better than to bring any drinks inside. If they spill and the fabrics get stained with coffee, they will be completely ruined," Kathy Caroline reminded. She added, "And if Margaret finds out that you brought coffee in here, she'll surely scold each and every one of you."

Kathy Caroline's words carried weight, causing two people who were secretly holding coffee cups to hastily hide them behind their backs. They had come with Fiona.

Fiona also woke up from her daze and glared fiercely at Sophia. It didn't matter if Fiona's prototype can be remade, but Sophia's might not be salvageable. Thinking about this, Fiona’s mood suddenly improved, she snorted coldly at Sophia and walked away with a swaying gait.

Sophia didn't expect Fiona to be so patient. She was actually looking forward to Fiona causing a scene. After all, Sophia wasn't the one who started trouble. If Fiona were to stir things up and seek Tiffany's help, Sophia would have an excuse to teach Tiffany a lesson.

Even if she couldn't physically act, at least she could vent her frustrations with a few harsh words. It's such a shame to miss this opportunity. As everyone dispersed, Larry’s face remained gloomy, much to Kathy Caroline’s surprise.

"What's wrong with you?" she asked him. After all, she was the one whose prototype got ruined. Larry shouldn't be more upset than her.

"Sis, the material company has such a limited inventory. The next batch won't arrive until a month later. How can you remake the prototype?" Larry explained in distress.

"What!" she exclaimed
