Chapter 126 Because I Hate Her
Sam's test results are out, and a few indicators are not quite normal. In the short term, there is no major harm, as long as he starts to take good care of himself now, he will recover and return to normal.
Gabriel shared these results with Sophia, as she genuinely cares about Sam. He did not hesitate to tell her the truth about Sam's condition.
Sophia's tightly wound string finally relaxed when she saw the report. Luckily, it hasn't harmed his body fundamentally.
Sophia: "Don't give Sam any more medication!"
Gabriel: "I know."
Unexpectedly, Gabriel is being so cooperative this time. Since that's the case, Sophia doesn't feel the need to say more. She will just wait for Colin to arrive in Z Country and ask him to take a look at Sam first.
She doesn't want to mention this matter to Gabriel, nor is it necessary.
Gabriel received the news right away as well. Morris's whereabouts cannot be found, so his disciple can give it a try first.
Tiffany stood outside the Lancaster Family Estate where her car couldn't enter. Mrs. Lancaster specifically instructed not to let her in, so she couldn't accompany Gabriel and could only stand outside in the cold wind.
After about half an hour, the gate finally opened, and Tiffany eagerly rushed forward.
"Gabriel, I've come to see Sam. I haven't seen him for a long time." Tiffany appeared both aggrieved and caring, as if Sam were her own son.
"Sam is doing fine." The coldness emanating from Gabriel was even colder than the northern wind.
Tiffany's heart skipped a beat. Could it be that Gabriel has really discovered something?
"Let me see him."
"He is resting now."
"Then I'll pick him up from school tomorrow. The three of us haven't had a meal together for a long time." Tiffany deliberately emphasized the three of them being a family.
"Next time."
Tiffany's heart turned cold as water. She cautiously grabbed Gabriel's sleeve, lowered her head, and her shoulders trembled.
In a trembling voice, she asked, "Gabriel, do you no longer love me?"
Gabriel had no mood to discuss love with her at all. His entire body and mind are devoted to Sam right now, and he can't spare any extra attention for Tiffany.
But he still comforted her, "Don't overthink."
"I found out that Morris's disciple, Colin, will be coming to Z Country the day after tomorrow. I already have his flight information. I will pick him up and bring him to see Sam as soon as possible."
Gabriel was slightly surprised. He looked deeply into Tiffany's eyes and suddenly noticed that she seemed thinner, her shoulders more fragile.
He felt comforted by her concern for Sam and gave her a bit more affirmation.
"Alright, it's cold outside. You should go home early," Gabriel opened the car door for her.
Tiffany reached out and hugged him before finally leaving with a satisfied look on her face.
Standing in the cold wind, Gabriel glanced at the sky.
The first snow is coming soon.
On Monday, Sophia didn't know if Gabriel would fire her for what she did, but regardless, she had no regrets about her actions. She just felt that it was such a waste that not all of it went through that day.
Margaret called her into the office early in the morning. She was so anxious about this matter that bubbles formed at the corners of her mouth.
"I inquired with the administration, and considering it was Miss Foster that you offended, I'm afraid I can't really save you this time," Margaret said.
Losing such a talented designer like Sophia, Margaret felt a real sense of regret. She handed Sophia a business card and said, "This company's design director is my classmate. He's a good person and also appreciates your work."
Sophia was surprised that her boss was actively recommending another company. Smiling, she accepted the card and said, "Okay, if the company fires me, I will definitely interview with them."
Margaret sighed, "I had hoped to see you shine."
In turn, Sophia reassured her, "Even if I switch platforms, I will still shine brilliantly for you, so don't worry."
Margaret smiled and sighed at the same time.
This matter had spread early in private groups within the company, and forums had been discussing it for two days. Everyone was eager to see what kind of punishment Sophia would receive. It was surely going to be dismissal. She shouldn't have hit anyone, and especially not Miss Foster. Despite Miss Foster being approachable and easy to get along with, offending her would undoubtedly lead to a bad outcome.
Among the audience, Fiona was the happiest. She had promised Tiffany that she would make Sophia leave within a week. Now, she didn't need a week, nor did she need to take any action herself. Sophia had driven herself away.
"I'm reminding certain people not to be too arrogant, thinking that they can get away unscathed after hitting someone. They should also consider where they are," Fiona proudly stated.
Was she speaking so loudly to ensure that Sophia heard? Sophia snorted and didn't respond. Fiona stepped back, blocking Sophia's path. She gleefully looked at Sophia and said, "I advise you to leave voluntarily as soon as possible. Don't wait for the company to kick you out. That would be really embarrassing."
Sophia rolled her eyes. "Busybodies meddling in other people's affairs."
She pushed Fiona away and walked out of the restroom. Fiona felt a little annoyed by her, but the thought of Sophia leaving made her feel beautiful again.
Larry and Charlotte were very worried. They found out this morning when they arrived at the company that Sophia had stormed into the general manager's office to confront someone after the meeting.
"Sophia, why can't you control yourself?" Larry was reluctant to see Sophia in this situation. His procrastination had almost been cured by Sophia, and now that she was leaving, he would most likely revert to his previous state.
Sophia smiled slightly. "I did not lose control."
"Then why did you go and hit Miss Foster?"
"Although there is no video footage, the people from the general office spoke with certainty, so it's unlikely to be a false rumor."
"Because I can't stand her," Sophia said confidently.
Larry widened his eyes.
He also can't stand her, so can he go and fight as well?
Everyone was waiting for Sophia to leave, but as they waited and waited, the administrative department still hadn't issued any notification by the afternoon.
Fiona couldn't wait any longer and specifically went to the administrative department to ask. The administrative staff looked bewildered and said, "We haven't received any notification."
"That can't be true. She hit someone, Miss Foster."
"We truly haven't received any relevant disciplinary notification."
Fiona walked out of the administrative department, looking incredulous.
She quickly called Tiffany as soon as she snapped back to reality.
Tiffany's voice came softly, "What should we do, Fiona? Only you can help me get justice."
Fiona immediately pledged her loyalty, saying, "Don't worry, I will definitely help you."
"Thank you so much."
Fiona, this blunt person, sat at her desk after returning, thinking of ways, occasionally casting a sinister glance at Sophia.
Margaret also found it strange and after inquiring a bit, she happily sent a message to Sophia.
"You're safe now."
The company leaders warned their subordinates not to discuss this matter anymore, and Alex openly and privately expressed that it was all a misunderstanding.
Whether she'll be fired or not, Sophia no longer cares.
She looks forward to tomorrow coming soon.
Caroline adjusted to the time difference in two days, and her daily routine finally returned to normal.
Sophia took a day off, had breakfast, and then went to the airport with Caroline.
