Chapter 153: Meticulous Planning
Gabriel picked up Sophia, hesitated for a moment, and glanced at Randall on the ground, who had been beaten down by Harrison..
As they walked away, Harrison twisted his neck, cracking his knuckles.
Randall's heart raced, fear filling his body, causing his pupils to dilate.
"What do you, what do you want to do? I warn you, don't mess with me, I've called the police."
"Huh, the police..." Harrison threw a punch.
It had been a while since he had practiced boxing, and tonight he happened to find a "punching bag" to practice on.
The sound of screams echoed, and the customers on the same floor dared not open their doors to see what was happening.
"My head hurts," Sophia murmured softly. Her consciousness was scattered, and she could only feel the intense pain in her head.
Gabriel gently placed her on the back seat of his car, and he followed suit, gently touching the back of her head with his large, gentle hand, feeling a protrusion.
"Ah, it hurts," Sophia instinctively tried to push away his hand in pain.
"Go to the hospital," Gabriel ordered the driver with a stern face.
Sophia half-opened her eyes to look at him. Gabriel's face was filled with genuine concern, and his thin lips moved, "How do you feel now? Is there anywhere that doesn't feel comfortable?"
Sophia just stared at him, motionless, a furrow forming between her delicate eyebrows, her eyes filled with intoxication, and her red lips gleaming with allure.
As the snowflakes outside fell; larger and larger, they soon covered the ground with a layer of white. Pedestrians hurriedly walked by, and cars dared not drive too fast.
The warmth inside the car relaxed their minds, causing their consciousness to become even more blurred.
Slowly, Sophia raised her hand and touched Gabriel's face.
What a perfectly chiseled face.
Gabriel's body tensed slightly.
"Sophia, you..."
"Why?" she whispered, and in the quiet interior of the car, Gabriel could hear her clearly.
"Why what?"
"Why do you still appear in my dreams?"
"Hmm?"
"I haven't loved you for a long time, so how can you still appear?"
Tears suddenly fell without warning, and it felt as if a needle had pricked a certain part of Gabriel's heart. Acting on impulse, he raised his hand and gently wiped away her tears with his thumb.
"It's not a dream," he wanted to tell her. This was reality, and he truly was by her side.
In that moment, he felt a strange and indescribable sensation in his heart.
But one thing he was certain of.
He didn't want to see her so sad and in tears.
"Even in my dreams, you can't let me go."
In the next second, with a loud "smack," the driver turned his head and almost slammed on the brake pedal. The steering wheel also jerked. Gabriel paid no attention to his burning face as he glared at the driver.
The driver was startled.
" Drive carefully," Gabriel said with urgency.
"Smack!" Another slap landed on the other side of his face.
Sophia giggled, "Now it's symmetrical."
Gabriel: ...
"Sophia!" he gritted his teeth, but when he looked down, he saw a woman with blurry drunken eyes. Clearly, she was drunk. .
Should he argue with a drunkard?
To prevent her from hitting him again, he grabbed both of her wrists with one hand.
She glared at him fiercely, "You were so arrogant in my dream. Let me show you my Iron Head Technique."
Sophia tried to headbutt him, but Gabriel used his other large hand to hold her head down.
"Ya! Ya! Ya! watch my Shadowless Kick."
Gabriel had to use his long legs to hold down her legs.
He seriously suspected that Randall had drugged her..
The driver focused on the traffic lights, pretending not to hear or see anything.
Finally, they arrived at the hospital. Sophia had fallen asleep peacefully, and Gabriel carried her to the emergency room.
Blood tests, examinations, Gabriel went through all the necessary procedures before taking Sophia home.
On the way, he received a phone call from an unfamiliar number. It was Caroline.
She couldn't reach Sophia and knew she was attending a celebration today. Thinking that Gabriel might be there too, she was worried when Sophia hadn't returned so late. She had Emma check Gabriel's number.
"We're almost there, please come down and pick her up."
...
The snow had become lighter. Tiffany stood on the balcony in her thin pajamas, holding a glass of red wine in her right hand. The cold wind had turned her nose and cheeks red, and her lips were slightly purple. But she seemed unaffected..
Can anything be colder than the heart?
She thought Gabriel would come and comfort her, protect her, as he had said he would come right away.
But it was Alex who contacted her in the end.
As for where Gabriel went, she could guess from Alex's evasive words.
That fool, Randall. She had warned him many times to wait and make moves on Sophia, but he didn't listen. And now, everything had been ruined.
"Fool!" Tiffany angrily threw the cup in her hand, cursing, "Idiot!"
A fool who ruined a good hand of cards!
Whether it was anger or cold, Tiffany couldn't stop trembling. The silk nightgown showcased her beautiful figure, but it was useless without anyone to appreciate it.
The wind made her mind clearer.
Her phone rang, it was Alex.
"Miss Foster, everything has been handled here. You can sleep soundly tonight. If you notice any problems next time, please let us know in a timely manner."
Alex came out from the neighboring building, having already given a good beating to the person who was spying on Tiffany.
He didn't dare to continue with such disgusting behavior anymore.
Tiffany's voice sounded hoarse, like Scarlett: "Thank you for your hard work, Assistant Zhao."
"Not a problem, Miss Foster. Rest well."
Hanging up the phone, Alex tightly wrapped his down jacket and drove away.
Tiffany snorted lightly. Spy on her? As long as she said the word, how would that person dare to continue spying?
Tonight everything was originally planned by her.
If it weren't for Randall not being able to wait and wanting to make a move on Sophia on the first day, she would have sought comfort in Gabriel's arms by now.
Randall was beaten by Harrison, unable to get up from the ground. In the end, hotel staff sent him to the hospital.
Randall was in great pain all over, but when he arrived at the hospital, there were barely any visible injuries on the surface.
Harrison had used just the right amount of force, both able to teach Randall a lesson and restrain himself.
Randall had threatened to sue Harrison, but he just smiled, showing no fear.
Caroline took Sophia home while the two adorable kids heard the commotion from their room and immediately jumped out of bed.
"What happened to mommy?"
"She's drunk."
Caroline didn't want to deceive them, especially since Sophia still smelled like alcohol.
This was the first time these two children had seen their mommy drunk. Before, mommy would drink a little because of socializing, but she would never get drunk like this.
“Did someone bully mommy again?”
Emma clenched her fists, resenting herself for still being so young.
Caroline settled Sophia down and walked over to pat the kids' little heads.
