Chapter 138 A Wrinkled Mess.

Gabriel was hurt by her words, feeling a piercing pain in his heart, liver, and lungs. Fuck!
He admitted that he was a bit busy, but he absolutely refused to admit that only dating occupied his time!

He thought of arguing, but felt it wasn't necessary. So he decided to keep quiet.

Sam woke up when Sophia got off the car. His gaze was confused, not knowing when he fell asleep. However, he had a beautiful dream, and he was reluctant to wake up.

"Sam, Aunt Kelly has arrived home. Aunt Kelly will pick you up from school another day," Sophia kissed Sam's forehead.

Sam looked at her blankly.

Sophia's heart was melting under her son's gaze. Unable to resist, she kissed him again before reluctantly getting off the car.

As the car drove away, Sam waved to Sophia through the window. Sophia saw it and smiled happily, waving back.

Gabriel saw Sam's actions, and the remaining worries in his heart scattered like smoke.

He wouldn't let Sophia take Sam away from him, and he wouldn't stop Sophia from seeing Sam either, as long as it wouldn't worsen Sam's condition.

Once Sophia caused harm to Sam, he would completely sever their relationship!

Sam's wave dispelled the gloom in Sophia's heart.

Upon her return, Caroline could clearly feel that Sophia was in a better mood and raised her eyebrows.

"It seems like a good outcome." Caroline said as Sophia entered the room.

Sophia thought for a minute before speaking.

"Yes, Colin said Sam's condition isn't the worst, but he needs more care from us. From now on, I will bring Sam to stay at my place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Ethan and Emma will keep him company, and I believe Sam will recover soon."

By fostering a relationship between the three children, it would be easier for them to accept the truth when it is revealed later.

Caroline looked at Sophia's happy demeanor and felt genuinely happy for her.

As the New Year holiday approached, the kindergarten would have a break.

After school, Sam had asked David to take him to The Lancaster. Gabriel was busy with work, but when his son arrived, he would postpone work and spend time with him, Gabriel thought.

"Daddy, you're busy. I'll entertain myself." Sam gestured, indicating that he wouldn't disturb his dad's work.

"It's okay. Daddy will spend time with you." Gabriel said hastily closing his files.

"No need to accompany me." Sam declined the offer. He had a task to complete, and if his dad accompanied him, he wouldn't be able to finish it.

Gabriel thought of finishing work early and playing games with his son at home in the evening, so he didn't insist and continued to busy himself at his desk.

Sam opened the door and went out, gesturing for David to follow.

The employees working outside sneakily took a glance at their young master before burying their heads in their assigned tasks.

Their young master was even more aloof than the boss himself. When a secretary tried to please him earlier, the young master walked away with a cold face, not even acknowledging her.

He was like a mini version of the cold-hearted boss.

Before long, nobody dared to approach Sam anymore, especially with David, a big and fierce guy, by his side.

While strolling around, Sam ended up at Alex's place.

Alex was surprised to see Sam and asked, "Sam, what brings you here?"

Sam was familiar with Alex since he was his dad's capable assistant, and Alex was also kind to him, so he didn't dislike him.

"I wanted to ask about my dad’s schedule for tomorrow," Sam explained. That was the task Ethan gave him.

Alex asked using sign language, "Is there anything specific you wanted to know about it?"

Don't ask why Alex understood sign language; he was forced to learn it by the boss.

Gabriel made everyone who might come into contact with Sam learn sign language, including Harrison and some bodyguards.

Even the previous teacher from Elita Kindergarten and the current kindergarten teacher were learning it.

Sam explained, "It's New Year's, and I want to surprise Dad. Can you help me keep him occupied for a day?"

Keeping the boss busy? That presented a big challenge for the young master.

Because tomorrow was New Year's Day, the boss intentionally cleared his schedule to spend time with his family, so he had no plans at all.

Alex was a bit hesitant.

Sam pouted, thinking that it wasn’t that difficult, was it?

Did he make things difficult for Alex? Or maybe...

"Can you do it for half a day?" Sam asked with his most pleading look.

Looking at the adorable little one pleading with him, Alex couldn't help but soften. Whenever he saw the young master's cool yet cute appearance, he couldn't help but want to have one of his own.

"Okay, Uncle will agree and keep your dad at the company for half a day." Alex finally agreed.

Sam gave him a grateful look and politely said, "Thank you, Uncle."

On New Year's Eve, Sophia prepared a table full of food and invited Vincent to join them for the New Year's Eve dinner.

Caroline had known Vincent for a long time. When Vincent first went to M Country to see Sophia, Caroline even mistakenly thought Vincent was the twin’s father and almost scolded him.

As they were eating, they talked about staying up all night until midnight. But as soon as they finished eating, Vincent was called back to the hospital.

"Being a doctor must make him really busy," Caroline couldn't help but sigh.

Sophia agreed.

"Luckily, Vincent is so skilled. He saved you back then, otherwise we wouldn't have become the best of friends. By the way..."

Caroline looked at Sophia with a nosy expression and asked, “Have you ever thought about Vincent?'"

Sophia replied, "What?"

"Vincent likes you, don't you know?" Caroline said with a playful smile.

"I know." Sophia said.

"So, what do you think?" Caroline pushed, with a mischievous smile.

"He confessed to me, but I rejected him. Now we're just like siblings." Since Caroline asked directly Sophia felt she should be honest.

Caroline widened her eyes in surprise.

Just siblings? Is that even possible?

Sophia helplessly said,

"I don't want to remarry in this lifetime. I just want to raise my three children well. When I grow old, I'll find a retirement home and dance with all the old men there. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll even find a handsome old man to fall in love with."

Caroline rolled her eyes and joked, "When everyone gets old, they all look the same—wrinkly blobs. How can you even tell if someone is handsome then?"

The two best friends exchanged banter while Ethan and Emma secretly livestreamed from their room.

Today was New Year's Eve, and Emma couldn't join her fans to count down, but she still had to livestream—it was a must, and she needed to send her blessings.

MilkSugar, live streamed at most three times a week, and the sessions were short, sometimes only half an hour.

Yet, despite this sporadic schedule, her popularity only grew and never dwindled. It was all thanks to MilkSugar's explosive popularity as a character.

At only five years old, she was highly intelligent, a genius gamer, and adorably cute... She was the perfect daughter in everyone's eyes.
If you asked the public whether underage live streaming should be regulated well, MilkSugar didn't sell anything for profit, and she didn't violate any laws or regulations. Everything she showed was full of positive energy.

If you must criticize playing games as positive energy, then does that mean professional esports players are also leading a degenerate life?

MilkSugar wasn't addicted to games, and analyzing game skills was beneficial for her mental development. Besides, the country even had an esports team. Can you say that esports are ruining someone's life?
