Chapter 96 Pit the scumbag and the bitch
Sophia walked out of Margaret's office, holding some documents. Margaret had asked her to deliver them to the General Manager's office.
She didn't want to see Gabriel, so she looked around to see who could help. That's when she spotted Fiona.
Sophia slyly curved her lips and walked towards Larry.
"Larry, can you help me deliver these documents to Mr. Lancaster?" she asked.
"Sure," Larry replied.
Helping Sophia was something Larry couldn't refuse.
Fiona, who was standing nearby chatting with someone, overheard their conversation. Her eyes lit up, and she hurried over to Sophia, pulling her with enthusiasm. "Sophia, I actually need Larry's help with something. Why don't I deliver these documents for you?"
Sophia frowned and pulled her hand back.
"I'll just deliver them myself."
"Come on, we're colleagues. Helping each other is only natural. Since you're busy, let me help you," Fiona insisted, snatching the documents and making her escape.
Larry looked puzzled. "We're not even in the same group. What does she need my help for?"
Sophia shrugged. "I have no idea."
"When did you two become so close? She's even delivering documents for you," Larry curiously asked, giving her a probing look, as if asking her to come clean.
Sophia spread her hands. "I don't know. Maybe she wants to show off in front of Mr. Lancaster."
"Show off?" Larry felt something was off, but it also seemed plausible. After all, Fiona was someone who loved to show off. If given the chance to appear in front of the boss, Fiona would definitely seize it.
No problem!
With a good mood, Sophia returned to her seat. It's always good to pit the scumbag and the bitch.
On the other hand, Fiona happily carried the documents and entered the General Manager's office. Thinking that she would soon see that god-like man, her heart started to bubble with excitement.
She used the elevator as a mirror to adjust her appearance.
The buttons of her collar seemed too tight, so she unbuttoned two, no, three buttons to highlight her advantages.
"Ding!" The elevator reached her floor, and the doors slowly opened.
Everyone in the General Manager's office kept their heads down, focusing on their work. The atmosphere was calm and serious, making people nervous as soon as they stepped into this place.
Fiona's heart raced as she walked towards the President's office, her head held high like a proud peacock.
Arriving at the door, she took a deep breath and knocked.
A deep and sexy voice came from inside, "Come in."
Fiona pushed open the door, full of joy.
"Mr. Lancaster, I'm here to deliver the documents," she said. Her usual voice was somewhat sharp, but now she deliberately softened it, adding a touch of charm.
She believed any man would be enticed by her voice.
Gabriel didn't even glance at her, his usual cold tone unchanged. "Just leave them there."
Fiona approached, her makeup heavy with a seductive qi.
The heavy scent of perfume hit Gabriel, causing him to quickly slide his chair back and sternly command, "Get out!"
Fiona was frightened and looked at Gabriel with a pitiful expression. She hadn't done anything wrong.
"Don't make me repeat myself."
His cold voice sent a chill through her, and the entire spacious office seemed to be filled with a gloomy atmosphere, making Fiona shudder uncontrollably.
Fiona nervously put down the documents and ran out.
As she emerged, she bumped into Tiffany.
"Fiona, what are you doing here?" Tiffany looked Fiona up and down, her face instantly turning unpleasant.
This foolish girl actually wants to steal my man!
"I'm delivering some documents." Fiona, still recovering from the shock, met Gabriel's official girlfriend, clearly showing her guilty expression.
"Finished delivering?" Tiffany's voice turned colder.
"Yes."
"Then go back quickly."
Tiffany walked past her and entered Gabriel's office, while Fiona finally realized what had just happened, her face alternating between red and white.
No, she couldn't give up like this!
Mr. Lancaster was cold today because he hasn't seen enough of her yet.
And it must be that Mr. Lancaster knew Tiffany was coming and deliberately drove her out like this.
So next time, she'll choose a time when Tiffany won't come to the company and try to charm Mr. Lancaster again.
Fiona noticed the strange looks around her and didn't dare to stay any longer. She quickly escaped, feeling embarrassed.
Inside the office, Gabriel opened the window to let the lingering scent dissipate. Before Tiffany arrived, she specially applied a certain essential oil, and as Gabriel caught a whiff of it, he instantly relaxed.
He gently closed his eyes, feeling half of his fatigue wash away.
"Gabriel, is Sam feeling better?" Tiffany approached him and stood beside him.
The wind blew in, cutting like a knife against their faces.
"The wind is too strong, please close it." Tiffany went to shut the window.
After all, they were on a high floor, and the weather was increasingly cold.
Gabriel turned around and returned to his seat.
"He's better."
"Did you give him the medicine?"
"Yes."
Upon receiving a positive answer, excitement flickered in Tiffany's eyes, but in the next moment, worry took over as she approached him.
"Let's take Sam skiing this weekend."
"I'm busy this weekend."
"Then I'll take him."
"No need." Gabriel flatly refused.
Upon hearing this, Tiffany anxiously explained, "The incident at the amusement park was my negligence. This time, I'll be careful and never let him wander off. I'll stay by his side every step of the way."
Putting down the documents, Gabriel turned to look at her intently.
"You being by my side over the years, then you should understand me by now.
I will not allow this kind of risk to happen again." Tiffany's expression changed because Gabriel could no longer trust her to take Sam out alone after she had accidentally lost him once before. He didn't believe her! Tiffany's eyes turned red as tears fell. "What can I do for you to forgive me?" Gabriel didn't expect her to cry. His eyebrows furrowed tightly, but he only wanted to ensure that Sam wouldn't go missing again.
It wasn’t that he completely distrusted Tiffany. After all, she had been by his side for five years, and he cherished the hard work she had put in during those years. Gabriel’s voice softened.
"Stop crying. I don't mean to blame you. There's no need to talk about forgiveness." Tiffany replied, "It's all my fault. If I hadn't gone to buy water that day, or if I had prepared the water in advance, Sam wouldn't have gotten lost." "You don't need to blame yourself either." Tiffany cried for a while, and Gabriel patiently comforted her.
When he was almost losing patience, Tiffany timely stopped crying and obediently accepted the tissue Gabriel handed to her. "When you have time, bring Sam to the company. I also want to meet him." "Okay." Tiffany wiped away her tears and smiled. "Why are you watching a live stream?" Tiffany inadvertently glanced at Gabriel's computer and noticed that he was watching a gaming live stream. "The company has a live streaming business," Gabriel closed the page. "Oh, there's a popular young gaming streamer recently. They say he's only five years old." "Hmm." Seeing Gabriel's lack of interest, Tiffany refrained from saying more.
At eight o'clock in the evening, Sophia entered the study on time and got busy. Emma and Ethan went into their room, locked the door, and started their own live stream.
