Chapter 743 Give It All to Her

Sophia leaned against Gabriel.

"The servant told me Rose was looking for me, then brought me here. As soon as I came in, the servant locked the door from the outside."

Rose denied, "I wasn't looking for you."

She thought of something, her face darkened, "Damn it, I know what's going on. Don't worry, Sophia, I'll give you an explanation."

"Okay."

Gabriel seemed to have guessed something too, and his face turned very grim.

The Rodriguez Mansion.

They didn't feel like socializing anymore, so they left directly.

After they left, Rose chased Gavin around the place.

"Gavin, how dare you use my name to trick Sophia. I must teach you a lesson tonight."

Gavin said, "I just wanted to help Jake, and he wouldn't do anything to Sophia."

"Stop right there!"

The Rodriguez Mansion was in chaos.

In the car, Sophia didn't mention what happened in the room, and Gabriel didn't ask.

They each remained silent.

Until they were lying in bed, Sophia moved from one side to the other, leaning against Gabriel.

"It was Jake. He said he was sorry, and finally wished me happiness before jumping off the balcony and running away."

"Okay, as long as you're fine." Gabriel turned to hold her, his large hand gently and warmly placed on her back.

Sophia leaned into Gabriel's arms and fell into a deep sleep.

Gabriel, however, couldn't sleep.

Victor had already been arrested, and Jake would be the next one.

The next day, while Sophia was at work, her assistant Emily came in with a package.

"Ms. Kelly, this is your package."

Sophia took it. The package was bulky, and she curiously glanced at the shipping label, which showed it was sent from City B.

Sophia wondered, 'Could it be something from the factory?'

She opened it and found quite a few items inside.

One of them was a share transfer contract for Micro Circuit Group.

The rest were various asset transfer agreements.

Sophia stared at the documents, her mind going blank.

Sophia wondered, 'What was Jake trying to do? Why was he transferring all his assets to her?'

Sophia felt these things were troublesome.

She couldn't figure out Jake's purpose.

She was also afraid Jake might do something extreme to her again.

Sophia quickly packed everything back up and called Emily in.

"Ms. Kelly, do you have any instructions?"

Sophia paused with the package in her hand.

"No, you can go out first."

Emily left the office with a puzzled look.

Sophia set the package aside and then called Gabriel.

Gabriel was in the lab. After replacing many people in the X Project lab, they immediately started new research. To avoid any more incidents, Gabriel made time to check in every day.

Seeing Sophia's call, Gabriel's stern and tense face immediately softened, showing a bit of tenderness.

He stepped outside to answer.

"Darling."

Sophia's face blushed and her heart was racing when hearing his natural calling made Sophia's face flush and her heart race.

"Well, I received a special package today," Sophia got straight to the point.

"What kind of package?" Gabriel asked nervously.

He was already picturing Sophia receiving some kind of threatening package, and he turned grim and cold.

Gabriel thought, 'Sophia must have been terrified, right?'

Gabriel was about to comfort her.

Then he heard Sophia calmly say, "Jake transferred all his assets to me."

Gabriel's brows immediately furrowed deeply.

Damn it, Jake still wouldn't give up. He shamelessly thought he could win Sophia over with money!

"I don't know what he's trying to do. I'm planning to send these things back to him."

She wouldn't take anything from Jake.

Gabriel was almost overwhelmed with jealousy, but hearing Sophia say she wouldn't accept it made him instantly happy.

"Right, we don't need Jake's things. We have our own, and they're better."

He would contact a lawyer later to inventory his assets and transfer everything to Sophia.

Sophia made this call to prevent anyone from driving a wedge between her and Gabriel.

After discussing the matter with Gabriel, Sophia chatted a bit more before hanging up.

At that moment, Colin sent a message on Facebook.

Colin: [Jake turned himself in to the authorities in Country M!]

At the same time, Alex reported the news to Gabriel.

Jake had returned to Country M overnight and confessed everything to the police there.

He hadn't been involved in Victor's illegal industries and didn't know about them, but what he and Owen did was also against the law.

He also confessed to malicious competition against the Lancaster Group and harming Gabriel, detailing everything clearly.

Around 4 p.m., Sophia took all of Jake's asset contracts to Micro Circuit Group.

Micro Circuit Group's general manager, Matthew, met with Sophia.

Sophia returned the documents.

Matthew glanced at them, adjusted his glasses, and said meticulously, "Mr. Hughes has already given these to you, so they are yours. Mr. Hughes has gone to Country M and is unlikely to return."

"Now, the largest shareholder in the company is Miss Kelly. There will be a shareholders' meeting tomorrow, and Miss Kelly should attend."

Suddenly acquiring such a large business, Sophia felt very conflicted.

Matthew was a smart man. No matter what she said, he wouldn't take the documents back.

Finally, Matthew sighed, "Mr. Hughes isn't as cold-hearted as he seems. Once he considers someone important, he treats them very well."

The Micro Circuit Group was already in shambles, and several companies had proposed acquiring it.

Jake could have stayed in the country and been fine, but he chose to return to Country M.

"Miss Kelly, you can rest assured that Mr. Hughes's assets are clean and won't cause you any trouble."

"Mr. Hughes is alone in this world. He said Miss Kelly gave him warmth, so he left his remaining clean assets to you."

It seemed Sophia had no choice but to accept these things.

Sophia immediately took out the Micro Circuit Group share transfer contract.

"I want to sell the shares. Can you ask if any other shareholders are interested in buying?"

Matthew was a bit surprised.

Due to Jake's departure, Micro Circuit Group was almost declining, but its foundation was still strong, making it valuable for investment and acquisition.

As long as they retained talent and developed new products, Micro Circuit Group could grow strong.

If Sophia kept the shares, she would get substantial annual dividends from it.

Selling the shares now was not a good deal.

"If you don't want to, that's fine. I can sell to someone else."

Sophia stood up to leave, and Matthew called after her, "Please attend the shareholders' meeting tomorrow."

"Okay."
