Chapter 752 Insignificant
Imogen's face was ashen, and tears fell from her eyes.
Half an hour later, Imogen arrived at the school's broadcasting room.
The students were in class, while some were wandering outside.
Imogen's voice came through the loudspeaker.
"Hello everyone, I'm Imogen from the Vocal Department. I post the news on the forum insulting Miss Clark, saying she has a sugar daddy."
Everyone was shocked upon hearing this.
People immediately started gossiping.
"How could Imogen do such a thing? She always seemed like such a good person."
"Who knows? Let's keep listening."
In the broadcasting room, besides Imogen, there were a few student council members and teachers standing by, watching and listening to Imogen confess her wrongdoing.
"It was because I was jealous of Miss Clark's beauty and the attention she received that I lost my senses and did such a despicable thing."
"I am not qualified to be a teacher at a university."
"Here, I sincerely apologize to Miss Clark."
"I'm sorry, Miss Clark!"
Imogen's voice gradually became choked with sobs.
Only then was Caroline satisfied.
Daniel was still fuming.
"I'll have the company make an announcement right away. Caroline, the violinist, is my daughter, and your school needs to clarify this as well."
If it weren't for Caroline's feelings, Daniel would have announced the moment he found Caroline that she was the heir of the Wolf family.
To prevent this from happening again, it must be publicized thoroughly so that everyone knew Caroline was a wealthy heiress and no longer an orphan.
As Caroline saw Daniel off, Nicholas returned to the principal's office.
"If you ever get bullied at school again, you must tell me immediately, understand?" Daniel reminded her before leaving.
Caroline nodded obediently, "I understand, Dad."
"Good girl. Tomorrow, I'll call Clayton back. No more band; he needs to stay at school to protect you."
Caroline rubbed her forehead. "Please don't call him back. After today, I believe no one will dare to bully me again. Let him focus on his band; he's doing well, and he might achieve something."
"Achieve something? It's just a waste of time."
Caroline sighed. After seeing Daniel off, she was about to find Nicholas when someone suddenly hugged her from behind.
Caroline was startled and was about to hit the person when she caught a familiar scent.
"What are you doing? You scared me to death," Caroline playfully punched Nicholas.
The parking lot was empty. Nicholas's hands encircled her slender waist, his chin resting on her shoulder. He could kiss her earlobe with a slight turn of his head.
"Does Kieran like you?"
This obvious jealous question made Caroline pause, then a mischievous thought came to her.
"I heard he does."
Nicholas snorted coldly.
He thought Kieran had given up on Caroline, but it turned out he hadn't!
"Looks like he can't stay at this school."
Caroline became nervous. "What are you planning to do? Since I started keeping my distance from Kieran, he hasn't bothered me, and we rarely see each other."
She didn't have a particularly good or bad impression of Kieran, but after Imogen's incident, she would keep her distance from him even more.
However, if Kieran's future were ruined because of her, she would feel guilty.
Caroline turned around in his arms and hugged him face-to-face.
Nicholas's waist was really slim.
Caroline marveled at this in her heart, then said softly, "Don't worry, I won't fall for anyone else."
Nicholas snorted. Was he worried about her falling for someone else?
Caroline said, "If he dares to bother me, I'll tell you, and you can beat him up for me."
"Nicholas."
Caroline snuggled into his arms, her coquettish tone like a tickle on Nicholas's heart. His heart melted, and he couldn't help but hold her tightly.
"Alright, I won't touch him, okay?"
What was happening? He seemed even more jealous.
Nicholas cupped Caroline's face and kissed her hard.
Kieran indeed hadn't done anything. He didn't even know Imogen would do such a thing. When he heard the broadcast, he didn't understand until Wesley told him.
After hearing it, Kieran's face turned particularly ugly.
His breakup with Imogen had nothing to do with Caroline.
After learning that Caroline had a relationship with Nicholas, he had told himself to give up. Although he couldn't help but glance at Caroline occasionally, he believed he had maintained his boundaries.
Initially, he wanted to be with Imogen, but he didn't agree with her high-profile behavior. As they spent more time together, he realized they were not compatible, so he broke up with her.
Just as Nicholas left and Caroline returned to the office, Kieran came to find her.
"Miss Clark."
Seeing that she was alone in the office, Kieran mustered the courage to walk in.
"Miss Clark, I'm sorry. Because of me, you were hurt."
Kieran felt very guilty.
Caroline waved her hand. "I don't blame you, but Kieran, I hope you handle your relationships better in the future. If this happens again..."
Kieran interrupted, "It won't happen again!"
Caroline was his goddess, who he could only admire from afar, not someone he could desecrate.
After apologizing carefully, Kieran immediately went to find Imogen.
Students saw the scene of Kieran and Imogen having a big argument in the woods.
For a while, the story of Kieran and Imogen spread like wildfire in the school.
But none of this had anything to do with Caroline anymore.
Soon, the school announced that Imogen had resigned.
Everyone said Imogen was expelled by the school.
Daniel indeed started publicizing and even held a temporary banquet, inviting everyone in the elite circle, whether they were familiar or not.
Caroline was helpless and could only accompany Daniel and Linda to make an appearance.
Daniel even hired reporters to film the entire event.
He bought trending spots, keeping it on Twitter for a week.
After this incident, Caroline continued to work and prepare for her wedding with Sophia.
To her, this was just a minor episode, insignificant and not worth dwelling on.
Nicholas could now stand longer and walk more steadily.
When Simon came to treat him again, he was very surprised.
"Have you been secretly training more?"
Sharpe nodded vigorously from the side.
"Simon, you have no idea. Mr. Watson has been training three times as much every day. Isn't his recovery impressive?"
"It is faster than I expected, but you need to moderate. Your knee is slightly injured, but it's okay. Just moderate your training from now on."
"Okay," Nicholas responded indifferently, clearly not keeping Simon's words in mind.
Simon rolled his eyes at Nicholas. He disliked disobedient patients the most.
He still preferred Caroline. She played the violin so beautifully.
Now, when he played the violin outside, no one laughed at him anymore.
