Chapter 118 Sophia's Anger
During Harrison's speech, Gabriel had already finished signing several documents and looked up.
"When did you become so idle?"
Harrison stomped his feet.
"Idle? Me? You're the one who gets off work early every day to go home to your son, leaving lonely me to work overtime until midnight. And in the early morning, I have to answer your ex-wife's phone call and inquire about her son's news. Do you think it's easy for me?"
Harrison, the drama queen, pretended to cry.
Gabriel silently watched him act silly.
"Last time Alfred saw Sam and prescribed some medication for him. After taking it for a while, I noticed this morning that he has lost a lot of hair. It might be a side effect of the medication, so I want to stop Sam from taking it."
Harrison's expression changed, "What?!"
Sam's condition had already become this severe!
Gabriel weakly leaned back against the chair.
"Maybe I should make the decision to take Sam abroad for treatment and accompany him wholeheartedly."
"What about the company?"
"You'll have to work harder."
Harrison said seriously, "I don't mind working harder, but I'm afraid a change of environment for Sam would be more detrimental. You need to think it through, and so does his grandmother."
"I see."
Gabriel felt powerless in his heart, and Harrison could do nothing but ensure Gabriel had no worries.
Sam was so smart and adorable, with extraordinary talent in art. He should not be confined to the dark world; he deserved a childhood full of vibrant colors and the opportunity to grow into a happy painter.
After Harrison came out, he sent Sophia the information he knew.
Sophia was in a meeting, and her phone was placed next to Scarlett, so she hadn't seen the messages yet.
Around ten o'clock, Tiffany brought coffee to the design department.
From time to time, she would bring coffee or afternoon tea snacks for everyone, not just in the design department but also other departments. Her generous gestures naturally won her a lot of goodwill. People secretly praised the future CEO's wife for being so kind-hearted.
She always made a grand entrance and knew how to leave an impression, so even the company's janitors would greet her with a smile and respectfully call her "Mrs. Lancaster."
She enjoyed being addressed that way, but she would still pretend to correct them.
"We're not married yet. It's too early to call me that."
Others would flatter her, saying, "We'll call you that sooner or later. It's okay, Mrs. Lancaster."
Tiffany would be thrilled every time, but her concern was more about others recognizing her status rather than how they addressed her.
After all, she would become the lady of the Lancaster family in the future, and she wanted to establish her authority early on.
Clearly, these monetary investments had their returns. Every time she visited, everyone treated her with utmost respect, and many people tried to please her and offer various benefits.
Fiona was originally one of those trying to please her because Sophia joined the design department. She wanted to...
With the help of Fiona, giving Fiona some face, but instead that idiot not fully focusing on dealing with Sophia, daring to bite her back and trying to replace her position!
Tiffany couldn't bear this anymore.
"Fanny, you're here." Fiona thought she had a good relationship with Tiffany and wanted others to know by calling her by her nickname, wanting to link arms intimately with Tiffany.
Tiffany sidestepped and showed a distant and indifferent expression.
"Miss Fiona, only my boyfriend, parents, and friends can call me by my nickname."
A frozen smile appeared on Fiona's face, what did Tiffany mean by that?
"Snicker..."
Someone's laughter reached Fiona's ears, her face turning red, she hurriedly went up to hold onto Tiffany.
"Fanny, what's wrong with you? Is there some misunderstanding between us?"
She didn't offend Tiffany.
After their last argument, she had apologized and Tiffany had forgiven her.
Recently, for some reason, Tiffany suddenly ignored her. Seeing Tiffany come to the design department today, she wanted to invite Tiffany out for a meal, to maintain their relationship.
"There's no misunderstanding, I just feel like we're not on the same page."
"But we clearly have common topics."
Everyone around them was watching, Fiona felt very anxious. If she broke things off with Tiffany, she could forget about getting by in the company.
She had relied on her good relationship with Tiffany to bully many colleagues, and these people were all eager to seek revenge on her.
Fiona's shrewd eyes darted around, taking Tiffany outside with her.
Reluctantly being pulled away by her, Tiffany shook Fiona off when they reached a secluded spot.
"Tiffany, if I did something wrong, I apologize to you. Don't cut off ties with me, I truly consider you as a friend." Fiona was on the verge of tears.
Tiffany sneered inwardly, now she knows what it feels like to be desperate?
So stupid and despicable.
"But you said you would help me, and you didn't follow through with it." Tiffany looked at her with disappointment.
Fiona's heart skipped a beat, after thinking for a moment, she remembered what she had forgotten.
She... had been pondering how to get close to Mr. Lancaster recently, completely putting aside what she promised Tiffany.
"Give me some more time, I will definitely get rid of Sophia for you."
"Fine, I'll give you another three days. If you can't do it, it means you're not truly considering me as a friend, and I have no reason to associate with you anymore."
"A week, three days is too tight." Fiona bargained.
"Then a week it is." Tiffany also knew that this idiot wouldn't be able to come up with a solution in such a short time, especially since Sophia isn't so easily fooled.
Regardless of the final outcome, this time, Sophia and Fiona...
"A, only one can stay.
No matter who remains in the end, she has a way to roll them out of Lancaster!
Tiffany came to the general office in a good mood.
She took out the medicine from her bag and placed it on Gabriel's desk.
"Gabriel, Sam must be running out of the medicine he took last time. I got some fresh ones from Alfred."
Tiffany's voice was gentle as water, definitely the gentlest voice in the hearts of all men, and the most comforting.
Unfortunately, Gabriel was like a stone, completely unaffected.
"Leave it for now, I need to attend a meeting."
Gabriel hurriedly left with a file, leaving Tiffany standing there with a stiff smile. She came at such an inconvenient time, but she couldn't stop Gabriel from going to the meeting.
If she influenced Gabriel's work, she would be seen as unreasonable and causing trouble. The well-behaved and obedient girlfriend image she had painstakingly cultivated would be undermined.
Footsteps came from behind, and Tiffany thought Gabriel had returned, turning around with excitement.
"When..." That "jun" character suddenly disappeared from Tiffany’s face when she saw the person, and her expression changed instantly, "Sophia, what are you doing here!"
Sophia saw Harrison's message and angrily rushed to find Gabriel.
How could Gabriel, being so foolish, give medicine to such a young child like Sam!
She came in and searched for Gabriel's figure, completely disregarding Tiffany.
As a result, Tiffany rushed over and pushed Sophia away.
"Get out of here. This is Gabriel's office, not a place for you to come."
Sophia was caught off guard and stumbled for a moment. She instinctively held onto the desk and glanced at the medicine placed on it, her expression pausing. She picked up the medicine bottle, looked at it, and immediately turned pale."
