Chapter 326 Let My Dad Take Josie Away

Nicholas happened to hear Emma's words about making Daisy a nun, and he couldn't help but feel happy for some reason, a smile unconsciously appearing on his lips.
But his smile was short-lived and quickly disappeared.
Emma was furious. When she was abroad with Ethan, she was always called a bastard, a bastard without a dad. Now that she had a dad, this bad woman still dared to call her a bastard.
She had to tell her dad!
Let her dad stand up for her!
Daisy's buttocks hurt so much that her face twisted in pain. She stood up, supporting herself on the sofa, and raised her hand as if to hit Emma.
"You rude child, today I will teach you how to behave properly on behalf of your mother."
Josie, seeing this, widened her eyes. At that moment, she found the courage to rush to Emma's side and protect her.
Josie saw Daisy's hand coming towards her face, and she tightly closed her eyes.
Before Daisy's slap could land, Charles grabbed her wrist.
Nicholas exuded a cold aura all over his body, his gaze fixed on Daisy as if she were a lifeless object.
At that moment, Daisy's heart felt as if it had been doused with a bucket of ice, chilling her to the core.
Her face quickly turned pale.
"Nicholas, I wasn't going to hit Josie; that child just provoked me," Daisy said, her words light and devoid of any warmth.
Daisy felt a sense of unease.
Since Nicholas broke up with Caroline years ago and became disabled, he had become unpredictable and ruthless.
But in recent years, Nicholas had been busy with work, often traveling in business or staying in his study. She had never seen Nicholas's ruthless side, only his cold and indifferent side towards her.
The look in Nicholas's eyes just now made her feel as if she would meet a terrible end if she had actually hit Josie.
Charles released her hand.
Daisy wanted to explain to Nicholas, but as she hurried forward, a glance from Nicholas made Charles quickly hold her back.
"Ms. Wolf, you should leave for now."
"Nicholas, I really wasn't going to hit Josie. Josie is my child; I love her more than anything." Daisy pleaded.
Seeing Nicholas's increasingly displeased expression, Charles quickly led Daisy into the elevator.
As the elevator doors closed, Daisy swiftly slapped Charles across the face.
"What do you think you are? Why do you have the right to hold me back? I need to go out and explain to Nicholas!"
She pressed the elevator button vigorously, trying to stop the elevator.
Charles frowned, a stronger chill emanating from him.
"When the boss is not happy, he can do anything. If you want your hand broken, then go back," he said coldly,
Daisy's hand hesitated on the elevator button.
How could Nicholas be so heartless?
Nicholas wouldn't be like this.
Daisy hesitated, but in the end, she didn't dare to go back.
Lowering her head, she resolved to teach that little brat Josie a lesson when she returned!
Charles touched his face where Daisy had hit him, feeling quite annoyed.
He never expected the usually gentle and elegant Daisy to act like such a shrew.
But he couldn't hit her back, feeling quite frustrated.
As Daisy gradually calmed down, she realized she had hit Charles.
She panicked for a moment.
Charles was Nicholas's right-hand man, and she couldn't afford to offend him.
"Charles, I'm sorry, I was too emotional just now; I didn't mean it." Daisy immediately put on a pitiful expression, looking at Charles with a soft gaze.
Charles hesitated, looking at the pitiful Daisy; his heart softened as a man.
"It's okay," he said coldly,
Thinking he was furious, Daisy's eyes welled up with tears. "It's all my fault; I lost control for a moment. I shouldn't have done that."
She kept blaming herself, tears streaming down her face.
This time, Charles was the one feeling flustered.
He had been the one hit, yet she was the one crying.
What should he do? He was a careless man and didn't know how to comfort a woman.
"Don't cry," Charles said stiffly,
Daisy wiped her tears with her hand.
"Can you forgive me?" she asked,
Charles remained silent.
Daisy continued to cry. "I really didn't mean it. I've never been like this before, but the pain in my heart has been building up for years, and I just couldn't control it."
Charles was annoyed by women crying, watching Daisy cry so sadly.
"I'm not blaming you."
At that moment, the elevator reached the parking lot on the second basement floor.
"Ms. Wolf, you should go back now. I'll send the boss and Josie home later."
Daisy sniffled softly. "Okay."
As she got into the car and sat down, a sharp pain shot through her buttocks, almost making her scream.
After Daisy left the general manager's office, Emma emerged from behind David. She was bold and not afraid of Nicholas at all.
"Are you really Josie's dad?" she asked, her big eyes filled with doubt.
Nicholas looked over, his gaze still cold.
"Of course."
This child was much more lively and daring compared to Josie.
Emma felt sorry for Josie to have such a bad mother and such a cold father. She was angry, her cheeks puffed up like buns.
"Why are you not good to Josie then?"
Josie stared in shock, pulling at Emma's clothes, trying to stop her from speaking further.
She was afraid that her dad would get angry and then blame Emma.
Nicholas paused for a moment, then answered evasively, "Is your dad good to you?"
Emma proudly lifted her head. "Of course, my dad is good to me. He lifts me, buys me lots of snacks and toys, plays games with me, and does many things with me. Josie only has a Barbie doll and doesn't even have a princess dress."
Nicholas frowned. He always brought gifts for Josie whenever he traveled, so Josie should have had many toys. Moreover, he made sure to buy her clothes every quarter, including various beautiful dresses.
"Josie is so pitiful." Emma sniffled lightly as if feeling sad for Josie.
But behind her back, she mischievously winked at Josie.
Josie was stunned.
Nicholas self-deprecatingly said, "In comparison, I am indeed inadequate."
He couldn't even lift her once.
Emma said, "Uncle Nicholas, my great-grandmother said it's never too late to correct a mistake. From now on, you must be good to Josie, or else Josie won't recognize you as her dad."
"I will make my dad take Josie away."
Who would be more powerful, her dad or this uncle?
Taking Josie away to be her little sister! What a good idea!
Emma completely ignored the fact that Josie was older than her, thinking Josie must be younger than her.
Nicholas looked at Emma, who dared to say anything audacious.
Unconsciously, he softened a bit inside.
He beckoned to Josie.
Josie walked over.
He patted Josie's head. "I'm sorry, I really neglected you too much before, but from now on, I will make it right."
He would never let Caroline and Gabriel take Josie away again!
Josie was still in a state of confusion.
Emma was too powerful.
