Chapter 648 Pointing

Sophia glanced down at Tiffany, who was writhing on the ground.

"Try that again, and it won't just be a simple toss," Sophia warned.

Everyone at Fusion Dynamics Corporation saw the scene. Most didn't know Tiffany, but they sure knew Sophia.

Seeing Tiffany get put in her place by Sophia, Kathy's admiration for her grew even more.

Larry silently cheered for Sophia.

Someone stepped up, concerned.

"Sophia, you alright?"

Sophia dusted off her hands. "I'm good."

"Who is this nutjob? Why's she yelling at you?"

Tiffany felt like she was about to explode with anger. She thought, 'I'm the one who got hit, so why is everyone worried about Sophia?'

Back at the Lancaster Group, whenever she showed a bit of vulnerability, people would rush to her side. Now, Sophia had completely taken her place.

Tiffany's face twisted as she got up from the ground.

She still wanted to curse and threaten Sophia.

The security guards from Fusion Dynamics Corporation stepped in and roughly separated Tiffany.

"If you don't leave, we're calling the cops!"

"You!" Tiffany almost stumbled again, her high heels wobbling.

"Just get out of here. We're busy."

Tiffany was driven away like trash by the crowd.

Sophia didn't expect so many people to help her, and she thanked them one by one.

The security guard said, "No need to be so polite. You're one of us at Fusion Dynamics Corporation. We've got your back. Next time this crazy woman shows up, I'll be the first to help you kick her out."

Sophia greeted the security guards warmly every day when she came to work and sometimes brought homemade food for everyone. Unknowingly, Sophia had left a good impression on everyone at Fusion Dynamics Corporation.

Sophia's mood, ruined by Tiffany, suddenly brightened.

Celeste stood by the window upstairs, looking at the scene below with a satisfied smile.

"Sophia is doing a great job at Fusion Dynamics Corporation."

Jennifer also smiled, "Sophia is hardworking and capable, and she helps everyone at work. Now that Sophia has laid the foundation, there will be fewer obstacles when she inherits Fusion Dynamics Corporation in the future."

Celeste nodded.

Her injuries had mostly healed, and she occasionally came to the company to give lessons to the employees.

The issue of Tiffany not being able to rent a store was indeed manipulated by Gabriel behind the scenes.

Tiffany confirmed this fact from Dylan, and at that moment, she completely broke down and mused, 'Have I really been utterly abandoned by Gabriel, with no chance at all?'

"I don't believe it, I don't believe Gabriel would do this to me!"

Tiffany's eyes flashed with madness.

"Raskolnikov had a mother. She remarried when he was very young, so he always claimed to be an orphan, but in fact, Raskolnikov always cared about his mother."

In prison, one of Raskolnikov's brothers, with his head down, was telling Gabriel about Raskolnikov.

"After Raskolnikov started making money with Miss Foster, he sent money to his mother every month..."

Gabriel sat there quietly listening.

Half an hour later, Gabriel came out of the prison.

Alex said, "Everything matches. In the prison cell where Raskolnikov lived, the guards found a line of words on the wall, which was Raskolnikov's suicide note."

The note read: "Spare my mother."

From this, they guessed someone had threatened Raskolnikov using his mom.

And Tiffany had transferred money to Raskolnikov's mom's account right after his death.

Gabriel shook his head slightly. "No way Tiffany alone could've made Raskolnikov kill himself out of guilt. Someone else must be helping her."

Gabriel thought, 'And that person must be as powerful as me. Could it be Owen?'

When he was attacked, Tiffany just happened to show up and save him. If she was working with Owen, she could've known about the attack and timed her appearance perfectly.

'But why would Owen team up with Tiffany?' he wondered.

Plus, Owen was a gang leader in Country M, but he didn't have much influence here.

Gabriel sat in the car, arms crossed, leaning back in the seat, eyes closed, deep in thought.

Right now, all clues pointed to Tiffany, but there was no solid evidence. Even if she did it, they couldn't pin it on her.

"Let's put Raskolnikov aside for now and dig into Alfred and Tiffany's connection."

Alex nodded, "Got it!"

On the weekend, Sophia and Gabriel took their three kids on a trip.

The kids were super excited. Emma was chattering non-stop, and Ethan and Sam were just as pumped.

The night before, Sophia packed with the kids.

Early the next morning, Ruth saw them off personally.

Gabriel drove, Sophia sat in the passenger seat, and the three kids were in the back.

The family vibe was warm and cozy.

But halfway through the trip, Gabriel noticed someone tailing them.

Sophia was dozing off, and Emma and Sam, tired from playing, were sleeping in each other's arms in the back. Only Ethan, who had been playing on his iPad, noticed the car's sudden change in speed and looked up.

"Daddy."

Gabriel whispered, "It's okay."

The clever Ethan quickly figured out they were being followed.

Ethan saw the license plate of the car behind them through the rearview mirror, then used his iPad to find the owner's info.

Gabriel managed to shake off the follower without anyone noticing.

Sophia suddenly woke up.

She looked around, her sleepy face like a cat just waking up. Gabriel caught her glance, and his heart skipped a beat.

"How much longer?" Sophia asked.

Gabriel checked the map on his phone.

"About half an hour."

Sophia rubbed her eyes, getting ready to sleep a bit more. When they arrived, the kids would definitely want to go out and play, so she needed to save her energy.

She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.

Gabriel asked, "Did you find out?"

Ethan said, "Sawyer Morris, male, 47 years old..."

The person following them, Sawyer, was a middle-aged man. Sawyer had no connection to them, so he must've been hired by someone.

Gabriel silently noted this info.

Finally, they arrived. Ethan put away his iPad and woke up Emma and Sam.

The servants at the villa were waiting for them. As soon as they got out of the car, someone came up to take their luggage.

This was a still-developing resort, not yet open to the public, so it was quiet with no tourists.

Gabriel thought, 'Hopefully, we won't run into Jake again, right?'
