Chapter 149 Little Demon King Once Again

Caroline arrived at the kindergarten in the morning to register. The principal specifically instructed Caroline to take good care of Sam. Caroline asked a few more questions and learned that Gabriel was the one who hired her to be the art teacher at the kindergarten. No wonder the compensation was so high. She didn't know what to say now. The contract had already been signed for a year, and even if she didn't want to work now, she couldn't bear to pay the hefty penalty. Moreover, all three of her precious ones were in the kindergarten, so she could easily earn money while taking care of them.

When Caroline entered the classroom, Ethan's and Emma's eyes instantly lit up. They knew their godmother was going to be an art teacher, but they didn't expect her to come to their kindergarten.

This was wonderful! Now they could roam around the kindergarten with their godmother taking care of everything.

Caroline didn't know why, but when she saw the two little ones from a distance, she had a foreboding feeling. "Children, the teacher has good news for you. From now on, you can learn to play the violin."

"What's a violin?"

"Can we eat it?"

Some children knew about the piano because there was a teacher who played it. As for the violin, none of the teachers at the kindergarten knew how to play it, so it confused the children momentarily. However, some children came from better-off families and had been exposed to many musical instruments, so they knew what a violin was.

"Now, please let Miss Ann perform a piece."

Caroline smiled warmly at the children and took out her violin, placing it on her shoulder before starting to play a cheerful tune.

"Miss Ann is so beautiful," a child was attracted to Caroline's elegant demeanor.

Anyone would unconsciously be drawn to beautiful things, and the children instinctively focused on how beautiful and graceful Miss Ann was, especially when she played the violin. Only after that did they pay attention to the cheerful song.

As the piece finished, some excited children expressed their desire to learn. Caroline was immediately surrounded by the children.

Emma had already enrolled herself in a violin class, but now she could learn at the kindergarten as well, and with her godmother as the teacher.

The kindergarten arranged for Caroline to teach three classes a week. If any child showed talent and interest in the violin, Caroline thought she could take them as an apprentice.

Looking at all the adorable little heads in the classroom, Caroline suddenly felt her heart being filled with something. It seemed that teaching at the kindergarten was a wonderful thing after all. She loved children and treated them with the utmost tenderness and patience.

After class, the children were playing outside while Caroline went to the principal's office to have a conversation. When she came out, she saw Emma making a chubby little boy cry.

The teacher was occupied with the situations of other children and didn't notice the fight until she heard the alarm-like cries of the little boy. She quickly rushed over.

"What happened to Gary?"

Chubby boy Gary pointed at Emma. "She hit me."

Emma, with her hands on her hips, angrily said, "I was saving her from a bully. Who gave you the right to bully others?"

The phrase "saving her from a bully" was learned from TV.

Emma thought of herself as a hero, taking it upon herself to punish the wrongdoers.

Gary had tears in his eyes. The teacher examined him and didn't find any injuries, which relieved him instantly.

"I didn't bully..." Gary retorted.

"Hmph, I saw it with my own eyes. Don't even think about lying," Emma fiercely stood in front of the girl who had been bullied, intimidating Gary to the point where he didn't dare shed tears anymore, trembling in fear.

"I... I just wanted to borrow her pencil sharpener."

"You were clearly snatching it, and you pushed her down."

"I... waaah..." Gary burst into loud cries.

Caroline quickly approached and said to the teacher, "You go comfort Gary first, leave this to me."

"Alright."

The teacher took Gary away. In intense situations like this, it wasn't possible to understand the specific circumstances, so it was better to soothe the child's emotions first.

Caroline gave Emma a significant look.

Emma stood tall with righteousness; this time, she didn't cause trouble but helped her classmate.

Caroline's gaze shifted from Emma to the girl who had been bullied. The girl kept her head down, neither crying nor making a scene, just standing there quietly, evoking an inexplicable sense of pity.

Her hand was at her side, and Caroline, with sharp eyes, noticed that the palm of her hand had been scraped and her clothes were a bit dirty.

Caroline grabbed the girl's hand, startling her. Instinctively, she tried to pull away, lifted her head, and her teary, frightened eyes met Caroline's gaze. Suddenly, Caroline's heart skipped a beat, and her body went rigid.

This child... seemed familiar.

"Don't be afraid, I'm Miss Ann. What's your name?" Caroline deliberately lowered her voice and gently communicated with her.

The timid girl spoke faintly; her voice was so soft that Caroline could barely hear it if she hadn't leaned closer.

"I'm Josie."

Yang Lele?

"That's a lovely name. You're injured. Let the teacher take care of your wounds, alright?"

Josie nodded gently.

Emma followed them to the office.

While Caroline asked another teacher about the first aid kit, Emma began educating Josie.

"Why are you so timid? If he bullies you, fight back, like this..." Emma reached out her little hand, demonstrating how to retaliate against those who bully her.

Emma was a little demon in country M and remained one after returning home.

Although Emma and Ethan and Sam didn't socialize much with their classmates, it didn't mean they didn't pay attention. Emma had seen Josie being bullied by others several times. She thought Josie would tell the teacher or her parents, but Josie kept quiet.

She was being bullied.

Today, she couldn't bear to watch anymore, so she stepped in to help Josie.

Josie looked at Emma intently.

Emma sighed, "How can you be dumber than Sam?"

Could it be that she was also getting sick like Sam?

Caroline came over with a medicine box.

"Emma, why don't you go back to the classroom first? Auntie is here."

"Okay, goodbye, Auntie." Emma obediently ran back to the classroom.

Ethan didn't pay much attention to Emma standing up for Josie. He also couldn't stand it anymore. This Josie was too submissive. Every time she brought something good, it would be snatched away by the chubby Gary. It would be fine if she didn't fight back, but she didn't even know how to complain.

When Emma rushed up to punch Gary, Sam was worried and wanted to help Emma. In the end, he was stopped by Ethan, and then he saw Gary cry after Emma punched him once.

Emma didn't have much strength, so she didn't hurt Gary with her punch. However, her momentum was strong. She managed to scare Gary into crying.

The three adorable kids went back to the classroom for class. Caroline carefully treated Josie's injuries.

The little one's tender hand had broken skin and was bleeding. It looked painful, but she didn't make a sound. Caroline looked at her in surprise.

"Does it hurt?"

Josie obediently shook her head.

Really not painful?

Caroline half believed and half doubted. When she applied the iodine-soaked cotton swab, the little hand immediately recoiled.
