Chapter 202 They Really Had Some Nerve!

A waiter walked over and spoke a few words to Sophia, who cast an indifferent glance in their direction.
They wanted her to play accompaniment for Gabriel and Tiffany?
They really had some nerve!
Sophia mentally rolled her eyes to the heavens. She was about to refuse out of instinct when a thought crossed her mind, and a smirk appeared on her lips.
"Sure, no problem. Can I play whatever I want?"
The waiter thought for a moment. Miss Foster hadn't specified a song, so that should be okay, right?
"Yes."
The waiter then led Sophia to the piano.
When the host announced that the first dance would be performed by Mr. Lancaster and Miss Foster, everyone clapped enthusiastically. Then, as the lights dimmed and silence fell, a circle was formed, leaving the stage to Gabriel and Tiffany.
Gabriel had an indifferent expression, making it impossible to tell whether he was pleased or displeased. Tiffany, on the other hand, was overjoyed and extremely proud.
Sophia was only there to accompany her!
No, without her, Sophia wouldn't even have the privilege of playing for her.
She could only sit at the piano, dejected, watching her and Gabriel in their blissful love.
And next, there was an even bigger "surprise" waiting for Sophia.
The music started slowly. Gabriel gently wrapped his arm around Tiffany's waist, and Tiffany rested her hand on his shoulder. They danced gracefully, a perfect match in everyone's eyes.
In a hospital room, Madam Lancaster was about to explode with anger.
What was Gabriel doing?!
Not only had he brought that woman, but he was also dancing with that wicked woman!
The three little kids were watching the live broadcast, constantly looking for Sophia.
But until the ball began, they hadn't seen Sophia appear on the screen.
"Where is Mommy?" Emma pouted unhappily. Mommy hadn't appeared in a single shot.
Sam also wanted to see Aunt Kelly.
Ethan and Emma were angry to see their wicked father dancing so closely with the wicked woman. They had never been more disgusted with their father.
"I'll call them and ask them to film your mommy," Madam Lancaster said, taking out her phone.
Suddenly, the music at the ball changed. The beautiful, soothing, and sweet piano music suddenly became lively, the rhythm so fast that people couldn't react.
Tiffany couldn't keep up with Gabriel's accelerated dance steps in time with the music. Her feet were in chaos, and she stepped on her own dress a few times, nearly falling.
"Ah..." Tiffany let out a cry. During a move where Gabriel swung her out, she was caught off guard and was flung out because of it.
The music instantly became melancholic, as if mourning Tiffany's fall.
"Hahaha!" Madam Lancaster laughed heartily.
Whoever was playing the piano was doing an excellent job. It was so fitting.
Ethan and Emma blinked. After seeing the wicked woman fall, they also wished they were at the venue, so they could applaud.
Sam was also infected by his great-grandma's laughter, and his mouth curled up slightly.
On the scene, Gabriel was stunned. He... hadn't expected Tiffany to be unable to keep up with such fast-paced music.
He quickly went over to help Tiffany up.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Tiffany had been flung out by her own boyfriend. It was utterly embarrassing. Tiffany was so angry that her heart ached with every beat, and her eyes instantly reddened.
Even with her great confidence, she wished she could disappear right then and there.
Sophia hit the last note, and the melancholic music came to a perfect end.
She got up and walked over, looking surprised at Tiffany, who was being helped up.
"Miss Foster, are you okay?"
Her eyes were full of laughter.
What a surprise. She had originally planned to change the music to make Tiffany look foolish by not keeping up with the rhythm. But she hadn't expected Gabriel to be even more forceful and fling Tiffany out.
If it hadn't been for her manners, she would have laughed out loud.
She was holding it in so much that her chest hurt.
When Sophia appeared on the screen, Madam Lancaster was stunned for a moment, then laughed even harder.
So, the person playing the piano was Sophia.
Hahahahaha!!
Ethan and Emma puffed out their little chests in pride. Their mommy was so awesome.
Sam blinked, and the smile on his face widened.
Everyone at the party was holding back their laughter, except for Harrison, who laughed out loud without any reservation.
Tiffany was so angry that she was shaking all over. She couldn't even speak. She buried her head in Gabriel's chest and, after a while, she whispered to Gabriel, “Gabriel, I want to rest.”
“Okay.”
Gabriel felt a bit guilty and immediately took Tiffany away.
Sophia hadn’t had enough of her joke yet, and they had already left. How boring.
People gathered in small groups to discuss what had just happened. Those who didn’t like Tiffany were gloating, like Harrison.
“Awesome!” Harrison gave two thumbs up.
The waiter approached, and Harrison picked up a glass of wine, while Sophia opted for a low-alcohol fruit wine. They clinked their glasses together and downed their drinks in one go.
With Madam Lancaster's prompt, the three kids saw their mommy frequently appearing on the camera.
“Mommy was drinking? Oh, Mommy was drinking fruit wine.”
“Huh? The weird uncle wanted to invite Mommy to dance, but thankfully, Mommy declined.”
“Hey, a handsome young man came to talk to Mommy, and Mommy seemed to be chatting happily with him.”
Wow, there were so many delicious foods. Emma was almost drooling just looking at them.
Inside, Sam thought, ‘Aunt Kelly is so pretty. Aunt Kelly is so gentle. Aunt Kelly is glowing.’
It had to be said that Tiffany was stubborn. Half an hour later, she returned with Gabriel, wearing a new dress. Several high-ranking leaders gathered around them, chatting and drinking as if nothing had happened earlier.
Sophia sat at the bar, playing with her phone.
She rejected all those who came to flirt. She was bored alone. Larry came to chat with her for a while and then ran off. Seeing Sophia so bored, Charlotte came over with a glass of fruit wine.
"Have a drink."
Sophia picked up a glass of Kelly berry wine from the waiter.
They both chatted while drinking.
Somehow, Sophia felt a bit dizzy.
Harrison rushed in from outside and pulled Gabriel aside.
"Gabriel, your suite has the best privacy; lend it to me for tonight."
Without a word, Gabriel handed him the room card.
Harrison shoved his own room card into Gabriel's hand. "If you need to rest, go to my room."
Then he hurried off again.
"Sophia, are you drunk?" Charlotte looked at Sophia with concern.
Sophia shook her head, "I only had a few glasses of fruit wine."
"Fruit wine also has alcohol. Your face is quite red; why don't you go upstairs and rest?" Charlotte suggested, feeling worried.
Sophia found it strange; when did her tolerance for alcohol become so poor?
To prevent anything bad from happening, she didn't dare touch those high-alcohol drinks all night.
But why was she feeling increasingly dizzy now?
"I'll take you there." Charlotte helped her up.
Sophia thought it might be a good idea to rest. She didn't really want to stay any longer, so she decided to go home.
"Can you take me downstairs? I want to go home."
"Okay."
Sophia took out her phone and called for a designated driver. Then, with Charlotte's support, she started to walk out.
