Chapter 104 Jackson's Emotional Appearance
Lillian thought about the scene just now that was seen by Wendy and Jenny. Even now, someone could come down the hallway at any moment. Her face was getting redder and redder, like shrimp boiling in a pot.
Fortunately, Jackson quickly helped her stand up and took a step back.
Lillian subconsciously lowered her eyes to look at him, but he raised his hand to cover her eyes.
"Don't look, I'm not shy, just excited," Jackson said.
Lillian's face kept heating up, and her eyelashes kept trembling.
Her eyelashes were like small brushes, scratching Jackson's palm one after another, causing a spark.
No one spoke, only the sound of two breaths, one deep and one shallow, messy and intertwined.
"Are you okay?"
After a while, Lillian frowned and spoke.
Jackson didn't say anything, and his gaze deeply was fixed on Lillian. Her face was small, covered by a pair of big eyes, only revealing a delicate chin and red lips.
With her obedient and gentle appearance, he didn't want to let go. If he did, she would turn into a rebellious teenage girl who only knew how to provoke him.
"No," he answered.
Lillian was a bit speechless. If she had known he was such a beast, she wouldn't have teased him just now.
Thinking about what happened earlier, she spoke again, "Wendy was the one who came just now."
"So what?" Jackson replied indifferently.
Lillian couldn't help but laugh at his casual tone. What did he mean by "so what?"
"If you know the one who just came here is Wendy, just let go of me! Aren't you afraid she'll get angry and scratch your face?"
Lillian mocked and only then did Jackson release his big hand covering her eyes. Their eyes met, and Jackson raised his eyebrow.
"Don't you just want something exciting? The only one who can scratch my face is you. She is more sensible than you," Jackson said.
Lillian almost lost her temper and raised her hand to scratch his face.
However, her wrist was held back by Jackson. When he met her angry gaze, he found her lively little face was more adorable than when she was cold.
As Lillian struggled, Jackson furrowed his brows.
"You're going to reopen the wound by struggling like this."
Lillian then realized that he was holding her with his injured hand. She paused for a moment, then struggled even harder.
"It's good to reopen it, so your crush can feel sorry for you and apply medicine for you again!"
Jackson chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Crush? You're good at flattering yourself."
Lillian frowned and felt embarrassed. "I'm talking about Wendy!"
Jackson's handsome face turned sullen. "Stop talking nonsense. When did I let her apply medicine for me?"
Lillian was taken aback. "Didn't you go to her place last night?"
"I went to the company!" Jackson let go of her hand and tapped Lillian's head with his fingers as if blaming her for overthinking.
Lillian pursed her lips, and her chest was slightly heaving. Jackson didn't go to Wendy's place last night, so what was Wendy's tweet about? Did Wendy intentionally show it to her?
But if Jackson didn't give Wendy that opportunity, how could she misunderstand?
Regardless, Jackson left her injured and alone last night when she needed him. He always did this, and now he was bothering her again.
With these thoughts in mind, Lillian pushed Jackson away and walked off.
Jackson adjusted his suit, followed, and took her hand.
"I'll walk you back."
"No need!" Lillian shook his hand off, but Jackson directly hugged her waist.
As they struggled, Wendy was leaning against the wall in the restroom, tears streaming down her pale face.
Jenny patted her sympathetically, feeling sorry for her.
"Wendy, why are you hiding? Jackson likes you. Lillian only flirted with him because she knew we were watching from behind. You should have gone up, pulled her away, and gave her a good slap!"
Jenny's eyes widened as she had just witnessed the scene and was about to rush over, but Wendy covered her mouth and dragged her back into the restroom.
"Jenny, stop it. Even if Jackson likes me, it's useless. Lillian is his legitimate wife. What they did is normal. How can I disturb them? I have no right to intervene."
Although she said this, her face showed deep sorrow. It wasn't an act; she was genuinely sad.
She never expected Jackson, who was usually aloof, to show such an emotional side.
She was so jealous, wishing she could replace Lillian and have him hold and kiss her like that.
One day, it would happen!
She wiped away her tears, grabbed Jenny's hand, and said with a heavy heart, "Jenny, I can never be happy now. You must hold onto your happiness. You like Barry, right? You have to be vigilant. The way Barry looks at Lillian is not ordinary. Back then, he and Lillian almost..."
She suddenly stopped, and Jenny anxiously asked, "What happened between Barry and Lillian back then?"
