Chapter 432
The noise from the hall didn't make Lillian turn around. None of this mattered to her anymore.
"Lillian, stop! You've gone too far. Explain yourself!" Daisy's angry voice echoed as she blocked Lillian's path.
Lillian frowned, her expression cold. "Move! Your son missed the wedding, not me!"
Lillian tried to sidestep Daisy, but Daisy grabbed her and yelled, "Don't bring up Jackson. If you hadn't been so outrageous, marrying Jackson while still thinking about Kevin, Jackson wouldn't have missed the wedding!"
Lillian was stunned; she had no idea what Daisy was talking about.
Shirley, also furious, stepped forward, pried Daisy's hand off Lillian, and shielded her. "Mrs. Daisy Frane, the guests are still here. At least maintain some dignity and don't act like a wicked witch."
"You have no right to speak here; get out of the way!" Daisy raised her hand to slap Shirley.
But Shirley quickly moved to shield Lillian, pulling her back a few steps. Daisy missed her target, stumbled, and caught herself on the stair railing. Her eyes, filled with fury, remained locked on Lillian.
Lillian frowned and asked, "What do you talking about?"
"You're so hypocritical. Everything you've done is out in the open. You must explain the diary today! Did you write it? Our family can't bear such slander. You need to deny it; explain it!"
As Daisy spoke, she tried to drag Lillian into the hall. Lillian had no idea about any diary; she just wanted to leave.
"What diary? I don't know what you're going on about," Lillian insisted.
Daisy sneered, swiped her phone, and shoved the screen in Lillian's face. Lillian saw familiar handwriting displayed on the big screen in the hall.
[Today is the 840th day of loving Kevin. During the exam, I realized I wrote your name instead of mine. It turns out, in my heart, you and I have become one.]
[Today is the 1069th day of loving Kevin. It snowed. The first day I came to the Frane family, it was snowing. Because of you, I fell in love with snow. Because of love, I hope to see you every snowy day in the future.]
Lillian recognized every word; every sentence was incredibly familiar. But together, it was all absurd. She had written a diary before, but she had carefully buried it. In the diary, she clearly wrote Jackson's name, but it was altered to Kevin. She and Kevin, how could that be?
"Speak up! Feeling guilty, aren't you? You have no remorse. Four years ago, the Frane family was scandalized because of you, and today, you're tarnishing the Frane family's reputation again! You need to go in and explain yourself to everyone," Daisy demanded.
Seeing Lillian's silence, Daisy became even more furious. At this moment, Gemma rushed over, trying to mediate.
"Mrs. Daisy Frane, you are Lillian's mother. Lillian and Kevin grew up together. We all know their character; they are definitely being framed. Mrs. Daisy Frane, calm down; there must be a misunderstanding!"
"Shut up! It's all Kevin's fault, making us lose face today. Stop being hypocritical!" Daisy raised her hand to slap Gemma. Gemma was caught off guard and was hit hard.
Kevin had just gone into the hall to check things out and figured out what was going on. It turned out that Lillian's diary had suddenly been displayed on the big screen in the hall, causing an uproar. However, under Lyra's control, the staff immediately cut off the display. And Lyra clarified that it was all a prank, and the situation inside was now basically under control.
When Kevin rushed back to find Lillian, he saw Gemma being slapped. "Mom!"
