Chapter 477 Leave

The next day, Lillian left the house with Evelyn, who was pulling a suitcase.

At the doorway, Lillian paused, glanced back at Peace Mansion, and then turned to catch up with Evelyn.

"Mrs. Frane?"

"Let's go," Lillian replied, hurrying to catch up.

Just as they stepped out, Jackson appeared with Harry and several bodyguards in black.

Lillian's heart skipped a beat as Jackson approached.

"Why are you back?"

He had left for a meeting early in the morning. His sudden return with bodyguards made Lillian nervous.

"I came back to see you off. I've asked Harry to bring some people to accompany you."

Jackson nodded at Harry, who stepped forward with four bodyguards.

Lillian clenched her fist. She thought, 'Does Jackson suspect something?'

She kept her cool and said, "There's no need. Evelyn is enough. I'm just going for a performance, and I'm not the only one in the troupe. A group of bodyguards would be inconvenient and attract attention. Besides, Harry is your personal bodyguard. How can I take him with me?"

"Worried something might happen to me?" Jackson asked, smirking.

Lillian bit her lip, looking embarrassed.

Jackson's eyes twinkled with amusement.

Knowing he wouldn't let her go without a bodyguard, Lillian said, "How about just one? There's really no need for more."

She pointed to one of the bodyguards.

Jackson considered it for a moment. Since he had already made arrangements and would head to Aetherwell after the Price family dinner, he agreed.

He waved to the bodyguard. "Kieran, make sure to protect Mrs. Frane."

"Don't worry, Mr. Frane," Kieran replied, stepping forward to take the suitcase from Evelyn.

Jackson held Lillian close as they approached the car. Before getting in, Lillian turned and gently hugged Jackson.

'Jackson, goodbye,' she thought, then quickly let go and got into the car.

Jackson was stunned by the sudden hug. It was light but made his heart skip a beat.

By the time he came to his senses, Lillian was already in her car, which had slowly pulled out and then picked up speed, disappearing from his view.

Night had fallen.

The Price House was ablaze with lights. It had been several months since Star was found, and the news had been buzzing ever since. But Star had been focused on relearning social graces, absorbing various knowledge, and frequenting the hospital. Tonight was her first public appearance among Miracalia's high society.

The Price family was putting a lot of emphasis on this event. Before the dinner began, Star was the epitome of glamour.

She wore a custom-made red mermaid gown paired with long black velvet gloves, subtly padded at the fingertips so that the imperfection was barely noticeable. Her ensemble was completed with a full set of diamond jewelry. Standing by the window on the second floor, she kept glancing outside.

She was eagerly awaiting Jackson's arrival, knowing that tonight was her moment in the spotlight.

The thought of making a grand entrance with Jackson amid the well-wishes of the guests brought a smile to her face.

And with Lillian disappearing from the country, Star's smile couldn't be more radiant.

"Miss Price, Mr. Frane has arrived," the servant announced as a black Bentley slowly rolled into the Price House.

Star had already spotted him. With a smile lighting up her face, she hurriedly lifted the hem of her gown and ran outside.

As Jackson emerged from the car in his sleek black suit, Star was just making her way out of the foyer.

The last glimmers of twilight faded from the sky as the garden lights flickered on, illuminating her sweet smile.

Meanwhile, at Aetherwell Airport, a plane ascended smoothly from the illuminated runway, cutting through the night sky.

Meanwhile, at Aetherwell Airport, a plane slowly ascended on the runway's light strip, soaring into the night sky.
