Chapter 151 Concealing the Truth

Before the nurse could finish speaking, there was a loud crash.

Lillian had a sudden idea and knocked over the water cup on the ground, shattering it into pieces.

One of her hands supported the bedside table, and half of her body still leaned on the bed. Jackson furrowed his brows and bent down to help her up. "If you wanted water, you should have told me. Why are you making a mess? Or do you just not want to bother me right now?"

Lillian's face was panicked and at a loss, like a child who had done something wrong. "I didn't expect to have no strength in my body at all."

Jackson's anger dissipated instantly as he helped her lie down. ‘Forget it, she is sick, so why argue with her?’

He helplessly rubbed her hair. After feeling her warm little face, he furrowed his brows and asked, "Why aren't you taking fever-reducing medicine?"

With this interruption, the nurse had already left.

Terry came over to clean up the broken porcelain on the floor, and Lillian explained, "When the doctor checked earlier, the fever wasn't this severe yet. I'm trying to take as little fever-reducing medicine as possible. If the fever doesn't go down later, I'll take it then."

She nervously twisted her fingers under the blanket, afraid that Jackson would suspect something. But Jackson didn't seem to think much about it. He went to get cold water, wrung a towel, and wiped Lillian's face and neck, then unbuttoned her collar.

Lillian felt a bit embarrassed and held his hand. "I can do it myself."

Jackson looked at her with a faint gaze. "Are you being coy at this time?"

Lillian felt helpless. "We are getting a divorce."

"We haven't divorced yet. Even if we do, I'm still your family. I took care of you when you were young." He forcibly pulled her hand away and helped her unbutton her shirt.

Lillian wanted to say that was in the past, how could it be the same now? After they got married, he indeed never took care of her again, so her discomfort was normal. But she knew that even if she insisted, he wouldn't stop.

She just didn't understand why they had decided to divorce, yet he was now caring for her. Was it because in his mind, the marriage had already ended, so he was treating her like a sister again?

'That will be nice,' Lillian thought.

Jackson wiped Lillian's armpits and chest, then went to remove her pants, even wiping her thighs.

He was patient, changing the water several times and pressing a few acupoints for her.

Lillian couldn't drive him away and was very worried that her temperature wouldn't go down.

Fortunately, an hour later, her temperature dropped. It was because Jackson had her drink several glasses of water; now she needed to use the bathroom.

Suddenly, Jackson lifted her blanket.

"What are you doing?" Lillian said.

"I'll help you to the bathroom," Jackson said.

Lillian bit her lip. "How did you know?" She was embarrassed to ask for Jackson's help, but he still found out.

Jackson chuckled lightly. "You only have one bladder, cherish it."

Lillian fell silent. Jackson helped her into the bathroom, and she felt extremely embarrassed. "Turn around."

Jackson cooperated and turned around.

Lillian was wearing pajamas and sleep pants, which were easy to take off. She hesitantly squatted down, but she couldn’t urinate for a while.

Although they had been married for two years, they hadn't lived together during that time. Going to the bathroom in front of him, especially in the current situation of getting a divorce, made Lillian feel awkward.

Jackson said, "If you keep hesitating, I'll help you."

Perhaps scared by his words, Lillian suddenly urinated. The sound was a bit loud, and she instantly covered her face.
