Chapter 487 Stop Loving

He wondered what else Lillian was hiding from him.

He was desperate to know how his ignorance and misunderstandings had worn down her love bit by bit.

Jackson looked a mess, frantic.

But Shirley, always strong and fearless, sneered indifferently.

"Do you think Lillian cared about material things? Her scholarships and prize money from dance competitions were enough for her!

"Even without dancing, do you know how many talent scouts contacted her because of her beauty? She could've left the Frane family anytime.

"She was so talented, with millions of fans for her dance and music. Do you know why she never commercialized the 'Headwind Appears' account on Twitter and only used it for charity?

"Because she was foolishly in love with you. She felt the Frane family had nurtured her, and she didn't deserve it. That account was for you, and many of the songs were made for you; she didn't want to commercialize it.

"But how did you treat her? Do I need to remind you? You forced her to sell the songs she made for you to the person she hated most to promote Wendy! When she asked for a divorce, you pressured her with thirty million dollars."

"Enough! Shirley, please, just shut up!"

Seeing Jackson's face turn ashen, Gray watched in horror as he clung to the shards of the broken plate, as if trying to embed them into his own flesh.

Gray was terrified that if Shirley continued, Jackson might be pushed to the brink and end up coughing up blood.

He desperately shouted at Shirley to stop.

Jackson's eyes were red with fury, but he kept his gaze fixed on Shirley. "Is there more?"

Gray shook his head vigorously at Shirley.

Jackson's demeanor was genuinely frightening. Shirley was worried that if she kept going, Jackson might lose control completely.

She took a deep breath and said, "Enough. The past is the past. Lilian doesn't love you anymore. Why are you trying to drag her back into this? Are you just going to continue tormenting her and flaunt your relationship with Star? Jackson, if you had any real decency left, you would leave her alone. You don't have the right to disturb her!"

Jackson had never realized how words could be so destructive.

As he stared at Shirley, he was haunted by memories of what Lillian had once told him.

She said that not loving someone wasn't something that happened overnight.

He had never understood that her diary was written for him.

He thought, 'She has loved me, so why could she suddenly stop loving me?'

He had forced her, demanded that she continue to love him, and accused her love of being superficial and cheap.

But it turned out that he had been losing her bit by bit.

He had been doing so for the past four years.

Gray, seeing Jackson standing rigid and tense, cautiously called out, "Jackson..."

Jackson slowly withdrew his gaze, lowering his head with a self-deprecating smile. He no longer looked at anyone or pressed Shirley further.

He turned and walked toward the door, his back still straight and solitary.

However, as he stepped out the door, he suddenly stumbled and fell forward.

"Jackson!"

Gray shouted urgently and rushed after him.

Jackson was on his knees, his face pale.

Gray reached out to help, but Jackson slowly got to his feet on his own.

He pushed Gray's hand away and looked at him with a hoarse voice.

"Gray, am I really not supposed to find her again?"
